Report: ‘New Palestine’ state in draft of Trump Middle East peace plan

Arab report states ‘Deal of the Century’ would be a trilateral agreement between Israel, PLO and Hamas

Lebanese Hezbollah-backed Al Mayadeen TV channel claimed on Monday to have obtained parts of a draft of US President Donald Trump’s much anticipated Israeli-Palestinian peace plan proposal.

The so-called “Deal of the Century” would see a trilateral agreement signed between Israel, the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and Hamas, with the establishment of a Palestinian state branded “New Palestine” on the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

The state would not include existing Israeli settlements, as well as isolated settlements, to remain under Israeli sovereignty.

In regards to Jerusalem, the draft states that it will not be divided and that it will be “shared between Israel and New Palestine,” having the Israeli-Arab population living mostly in East Jerusalem become residents of the Palestinian state.

According to the draft, the Jerusalem municipality will be responsible for all the lands of Jerusalem, except for the education services provided by the New Palestine, which in turn will pay the Jewish municipality property taxes and water expenses.

The Jews will not be allowed, as the draft states, to purchase Arab homes, nor will the Arabs be allowed to purchase Jewish homes, and “additional areas will not be annexed to Jerusalem, and the holy sites will remain as they are today,” according to Al Mayadeen.

In regards to the Hamas controlled enclave, the draft stipulates that new lands would be handed to New Palestine by the Egyptians for the purpose of setting up an airport and factories, agriculture and for commercial use, “without permitting the Palestinians to live in them.”

  1. US denies report of 3-way deal between Israel, PA, Hamas in peace plan
White House official says rumors about content of plan are false, day after Lebanese outlet says deal could see Israel keep settlements, Saudis gain Temple Mount role.

“Rumors about the content of the Trump Administration peace plan are false,” a senior administration official told The Times of Israel. “We are confident that the so-called source has not seen the plan.”

The details outlined in the Al-Mayadeen differ dramatically from comments made about the plan by US officials, including senior adviser Jared Kushner’s repeated indications that the plan would not provide for Palestinian statehood.

    .

What a shock the report of Hezbollah was false. Not really. The reporting from Hezbollah was disinformation designed to cause trouble for the USA and Trump Administration with many parties.

  2. When Al Mayadeen ( in fact Hezbollah ) trumpet that it brings Hamas to the wedding canopy of ” Peace with Israel for the time being ” , you smell from miles away the hoax . This kind of crap is not worth mentioning . It may nevertheless please our lunatic ostrichs like Peace Now – J Street – Yesh Gvul etc….Just anoth breath of Hopium …

  3. @ Bear Klein:

You say “we have no clue….”etc. But we DO have a clue-MORE than a clue, , in fact you give it to us yourself below., although I confess I’d already seen the Arutz 7 headline about it….was it yesterday…maybe this morning….Anyway Hezbollah isn’t a credible or even creditable source for anything ….except……except…..wait a bit, I’m thinking … ??

*****the last part of this post suddenly reminds me of when Jack Benny was held up by a gangster, who kept saying “your money or your life…hurry up, hurry up”.*****.

  4. Hezbollah-affiliated Al-Mayadeen did the reporting on the supposed Trump peace plan. Yet everyone is using this as a source.

  5. 1. We have no clue if this report is true or just a guess.

    2. As Sebastian says the Pal-Arabs will never accept this plan. Hamas is going to agree to be disarmed without the IDF killing all its leaders and commanders?

    3. Israel clearly also would not want to agree to this deal because it makes no sense to retreat one inch or give building in Area C. If the Arabs were to have massive amount of Arabs in Area C that would be a danger to Israel and the Jewish Towns in Area C.

So the trick would be how to say no without saying no in a manner that makes Trump angry.

Blue/White might say yes to a deal like this but the Likud lead by either Bibi or Saar would not say yes. Clearly the New Right and Bennett would reject giving up part of Israeli Judea/Samaria.

  6. So, no new Jewish communities? Fortunately, the Arabs will never accept this any more than any of the other far more generous plans in the past. When will these liberals get it through their thick heads that their objections are religious not territorial? There is no diplomatic solution. They have to be defeated and relocated for their to be peace. End of story.

  7. @ Wooly Mammoth:
Abbas didn’t accept Olmert’s offer, because it didn’t promise him anything he didn’t already have. I don’t believe any of the Pal leaders actually want a “Palestinian” (new, old or otherwise) state that they actually have to GOVERN. What they have already, is a base for terrorist operations in the heart of Israel, plus an internationally recognized statelet that serves as a P. O. box for billions of UN, EU and other $$$$$. Can life get any better than this?

  8. [continued]

What has become obvious to me in the last few days is that Sa’ar is not going be PM. He is a politically stupid lowlife and he obviously has no character or balls in attempting to sucker punch Netanyahu. Actually it is a crude desperate, and final act.
All of Israel’s PM’s have had to do things which they hated to do.
Sharon hated his job, and he hated himself, in the end. Although I believe he always loved halvah.
Sharon believed that one day he would probably be vindicated for The Gaza withdrawal when historians conclude that the move prevented the creation of a Palestinian State.
Trumps P. State is not a state, that is why they are calling it “New Palestine”….can you you imagine the scowl on Abbas’ face when he read that for the first time. He probably blew his cerebral cortex. I hope so…
If only they had accepted Olmert’s asinine offer. No use crying over spilled milk Hanan Ashrawi, because that cat is out of the bag.

  9. The Arab residents of Judea, Samaria and Gaza will never accept these parameters, of course. Why, because it will never allow them to, …”get it back…”
However, they will probably not be so quick to reject them either. At least until the election of 2020. If Trump wins, he could ram it through with The Gulf States solid support.
If Trump does prevail and win, Iran had better see their collective shrinks.
One thing for sure, it is going to make them a bunch of nervous wrecks.
Good. Now they have something to worry about as their source of funds dry up before their eye.
“Peace” can only happen when a law in signed and enacted to end terrorism, jihad, resistance and all of the other terms which synonymous with terrorism which have crept into the vocabulary by semantic infiltration.
