Prime Minister Netanyahu reportedly pledged in a conversation yesterday (Monday) with the President of the United States Joe Biden that he will freeze construction in Judea and Samaria until the end of the year.
According to Yaron Avraham’s report on Channel 12 News, no more new towns will be approved and no new housing units will be planned or built throughout Judea and Samaria.
In a conversation yesterday, Netanyahu told Biden that he would complete the final approval of the reduction of the reasonability clause. “Netanyahu informed the US president about the law that will be passed next week in the Knesset and that it is his intention to try to formulate a broad public consensus regarding the remainder of the process during the summer break,” the statement said.

It was also reported that President Biden invited Prime Minister Netanyahu to an upcoming meeting in the US. “The Prime Minister responded positively to the invitation and it was agreed that the Israeli and US teams will coordinate the details of the meeting.” The meeting is expected to take place at the UN and not at the White House.
Officials in the White House confirmed to Israel National News that “the President and the Prime Minister have agreed on holding a meeting between them during the year 2023. A date has not yet been set.”
The officials declined to confirm whether the two leaders would meet at the UN or at the White House.
The Prime Minister’s Office denied the report that there will be a construction freeze in Judea and Samaria.
Another great example of Netanyahu telling everyone what each of them wants to hear, often at the same time.
His own father said publicly that this is what “Bibi” does.
Now he got an invitation to the White House for being a G’Boy and freezing settlement construction (which he kept doing during all his terms as Prime Minister – I guess with the settlers the hope in Bibi springs eternal), told his coalition that he will let the judicial reform law pass in the Knesset next week, reassured Biden “that it is his intention to try to formulate a broad public consensus regarding the remainder of the process during the summer break” – forgetting to mention that once that law has been passed, a public consensus of any kind will be neither necessary nor required (and why would anyone who wants to destroy Israel as a state mind that?).
Netanyahu surely deserves a Nobel (if there was one) for speaking out of both sides of his mouth in order to accomplish his goal of staying in power indefinitely.
Just make sure to include powerful air conditioners in every home and then say, “Hey, see, we froze construction.”
:Freezing Construction” doesn’t exactly correspond to the actual report itself.
In the report, it seems to emphasise the word :new”.
Well, the promise that no NEW towns, or other structures will be passed or built, for the next 5 months .really means nothing. Political tidbit.
Because the very large amount which have already been planned and passed, with some construction already ongoing, will take years to complete, so a freeze of anything NEW really has no traction.
My opinion only and open to dispute.
…and in return what did Israel get from the anti-Israel, crooked, demented Communist president?
