REGAVIM EXPOSÉ – MAJOR THEFT FROM IDF BASES IN THE SOUTH
Shalom TED, this week we are going to look at issues of ongoing illegalities and how it affects the IDF. Channel 2 news (above) ran this unbelievable exposé based on Regavim’s findings. Major IDF tank exercises start at the beginning of the day but within a few hours they come to an abrupt stop. The reason – illegal trespassing of Bedouin thieves into the live fire zone for the purpose of stealing the targets and shells for resale as scrap metal.
The defense establishment has been aware of the problem for a long time, but for whatever reason have not managed to prevent it.
This unfortunate situation can not continue. It endangers people’s lives during training, it harms the economy, damages the IDF’s normal training exercises and it has a bad effect on the IDF’s morale and the sovereignty of the country. Regavim hopes and believes that by exposing this phenomonon to the public, via the news, the government and other responsible parties will take action to prevent this ongoing disaster.
