Peloni: So many questions persist and so much time has past. The need for transparency on the events which led to October 7 has only increased over time, as has the credibility of the such important institutions as the army, the intel community and the govt in general. The silence substituted for answers would seem to present an obvious opportunity to be fillled with such doubts and suspicions that it would seem obvious that the truth, no matter how ugly, would be a better choice…and yet all the silence continues.

This professor’s machine- gun: style of speaking in Hebrew makes her words and her message incomprehensible to non-Hebrew speakers, even in translation. Many Israelis, particularly academics and journalists, just don’t get it that most non-Hebrew speakers can’t relate to rapid-fire machine-gun speech, This is not the way people talk in Western countries if they wish to be understood. Yet another example of Israelis’ tone-deafness to the impact that their behavior public speaking has on the outside world.,
