If anything, Ben erred by understatement, in narrowing his judgment of Muslims to just the terrorists. I’ve looked into the matter a bit, and come up with this map:
The map makes no mention of religion, but contrasts relatively democratic countries with undemocratic ones. I note that the ONLY Muslim-majority countries with some sort of democracy are Senegal, Sierra Leone, Albania and Kosovo. The only group in the world with more of an aversion to the values needed for democracy, are the Communist countries — such as North Korea, China, Vietnam, Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua. The root problem is much deeper than “Hamas” or “terrorism”.
