I am beginning to believe that Yamit is correct that a core element of Christianity is Jew hate.
This is without a doubt true. It is only recently that there has been some minor improvement with some churches deciding not to blame all the Jews for Jesus” death. However, I believe the Christian bible still states the same. Except for the Evangelicals it appears that this “blame” is proportionate to the level of Christian religious practice and those who are less participant are more tolerant. Lets face it, religious Christianity is based on the premise that it replaces Judaism in the eyes of God. Apparently this idea arose because Christian practices and beliefs could not be reconciled with Judaism from which it first sprang. I think that one of the reasons for caution re evangelicals is the notion that there is not a respect for the separate existence of Judaism but that the Jews will fulfill the Christian bible and embrace Jesus.
No offense to the Christians but I just ended a new friendship with a Christian who insists that Jews killed Jesus and he suggested that the Holocaust was prophecied or at least destined per Mathew 23.
He is an American, and he agrees that Islam is evil but insists that the destruction of the Temple is due to the rejection by Jews of Jesus.
So forget about Vatican II.
1 Jew was killed, and no one can stop talking about it.
2 6,000,000 Jews killed and its all prophecy in Mathew 23.
Are Christians devils? American Christians supporting Israel, is it because they are Americans and believe in self reliance or is it because they are Christian?
I am beginning to believe that Yamit is correct that a core element of Christianity is Jew hate.
