Palin is sporting a huge Mogen David

According to GOP DELEGATES SUE TO BE FREE FROM ROMNEY the lawyer said

“If the judge rules in our favor, I won’t be surprised if three or four new candidates, say Sarah Palin, jump in and say they want to be considered. It will be the most interesting national convention in my lifetime if the judge rules for us on this.”

  1. There is another significant aspect of this. Note that she’s speaking at the American Center for Prosperity, where Grover Norquist is currently making a huge footprint with a conservative Tax Pledge. Grover is an out and out Muslim lover ( married to a ‘Palestinian’, and is always trying to move American Conservatives away from Israel. I believe she wore the Star as a deliberate in-your-face motion towards Grover and his supporters.

  2. I thought this was interesting. This is not the first time she has sported the Star of David. In her office in Alaska she also flied (albeit very small) the Israeli flag. One myth of the left is that the right is anti-Jewish. Palin is a very strong supporter of Israel and the Jewish People; being that I am a member of the tribe; I wish some of our members would embrace Palin. Its hard to say what Palin would do to the election. If she wanted the job I think she would run. My hunch is that she is going to stay out of political office for a while. Her time will come, the manufactured hate for her will wane; let me say this another 4 years of Obama, and she will become very popular as the country goes into outright electoral rebellion. Thankfully I don’t think that will happen as I believe Obama is toast!

  3. @ Ted Belman:

Your link is a bit old and has no relevance to Governor Palin’s popularity in the Republican Party today.

Any popular non-candidate could poll ahead of Romney, who was never the Peoples Choice.

Obama still polls higher than any on the Republican side as to likability. If Americans hold true to their past electoral choices Obama should win regardless of the

general perception of JOB performance which today is generally negative. Why? Because not too many Americans like Romney.

For better or worse and it’s going to be worse Obama should win, unless there are unforeseen complications.

  4. Are the writers of comments 2 and 3 the same Laura? I understood from reading comments to another Israpundit post that there are two people using the same screen moniker. On the other hand, possibly both of you agree with me, which I would find gratifying, were I more an egoist and less an objectivist.

  5. The point of this story is not Sarah Palin wearing a shining and very large Star of David necklace. One must assume that not a few non-Jews think the ancient symbols of the Jewish nations are beautifully decorative. In any case, she did mention that her guest appearance before a gathering of Americans for Prosperity was also in commemoration of the late Andrew Breitbart, whom I assume to have been Jewish.

But unless what we saw was a posting error, the main story alluded to by Ted Belman was a threat by some delegates to the upcoming Republican National Convention to withdraw their support from Mitt Romney and start an open battle to award the 2012 presidential nomination to someone else, presumably one of the Tea Party favorites. I think any such outcome would result in Obama easily beating any right-winger they put up. Romney has his faults, but he is the only Republican who can beat Obama, if Obama is to be beaten at all. Never forget that most voters in this country are centrists. Unless their vote is captured, the wingers on either side can forget about any chance of winning elections.
