The Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense ?Committee’s Subcommittee on Judea and Samaria held ?an emergency session Sunday on “the Palestinian ?Authority’s strategic takeover of Area C,” which, under the ??1993 Oslo Accords, is under full Israeli civil and security ?control.?

Area C makes up about 60% of Judea and Samaria, and some 150,000 Palestinians live there.

?”Since 2008, the Palestinian Authority has been ?making considerable efforts to take over Area C,” ?subcommittee chairman Habayit Hayehudi MK Moti Yogev ?said.?

?”Taking control of these territories is part of the ?PA’s strategic concept,” he continued. “It has even established an ?official ministry to oversee its activities in Area ?C. Meanwhile, our own government isn’t doing enough ?to monitor this issue and stop it.”?

Kobi Eliraz, the Defense Ministry’s secretary of ?settlement affairs, noted that “the Defense Ministry ?is becoming far more aware of the situation in Area ?C, as are the relevant decision makers, as it is a ?strategic, open-area sphere.”

?”The defense establishment is familiar with the PA’s ?attempts to take over the area,” he said, adding that Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman was “pursuing operative, legal and ?administrative measures to stop it. We have an ?orderly work plan in place that includes clear ?objectives.”?

Eliraz noted that Israel has been largely successful in stopping the phenomenon of the ?European Union illegally funding modular housing for ?Palestinians in Area C.

“We ?have stopped this. It almost doesn’t exist anymore,” ?he said.

Col. Uri Mendes, deputy head of the Civil ?Administration, said the agency was holding monthly ?meetings on illegal Palestinian construction in Area ?C.?

?”There is almost no illegal construction or land ?infiltration that is not recognized,” he said, ?adding that enforcement action against illegal Palestinian construction in ?Area C was suspended during the holy Muslim month of Ramadan.?

  1. Outrageous. Some of this is the result of fear of retaliation by the EU, such as sponsorship of BDS or even criminal indictments of Israeli officials and military officers. (which had in fact been done by Britain and Spain). But much of it results from the pro-Arab, anti_Zionist views of the “Civil Administration’s” lawyers, the Attorney General, the Supreme Court, and many top military brass in the civil administration. There is a wise saying, “You can take the Jew out of the ghetto, but you can’t take the ghetto out of the Jew.”

  2. Could be the authorities are to busy playing catch a JEW if he holers beat him until he confesses to something e.g. wrong time of day.

  3. Why should action be “suspended” during Ramadan/ The mamzerim attacked us on Yom Kipur didn’t they..?

The whole bloody country is bogged down, swamped by “legalese” ‘administrative actions” and such drek. They infiltrated into the area took over land which is not theirs, like the Africans, but with a much more sinister purpose. And let’s not forget the corruption in high -and low- places.

All that’s needed for trespassers is a battalion of troops, 2 heavy machine guns, 2 mortars, and 2 helicopters. A couple of bulldozers. Tell them to get back over the line they illegally crossed, And take their tents and tin sheds with them. Then burn a few. then a few more. Herd them like cows back to the right direction . It could all be done in less than a week.

I’ve been writing about this takeover for at least a couple of tears, ever since Bennett sais there were only 20,000 Arabs there, because I foresaw this, noticing the numbers creep up in short periods.

So……the govt. is watching it.. wonderful, we can all sleep easier at nights…. Unfortunately, they have to take 5 years to scratch their collective heads, to figure out what to do about it. And then they chose the lease effective, and instructive method to begin assembling Committees to debate about it. So maybe by the time my great-grandchild is Barmitzvah, the first move to push back …..maybe …. 750,000 Arabs might begin…and I say “might”, because they’ll give the mamzerim undeserved importance by meetings, discussions, appointing negotiators, and bargaining with them.

I remember when I lived in Israel..14 wasted years… I used to meet, walking along the promenade above the beach at Natanya, literally dozens of American former Magnates and Industrial giants, bowed, shuffling along with their hands clasped behind their backs. Sometimes we’d play chess, or checquers (drafts). They all had the same story. ….When they lived in America (mostly) the Israeli machers used to make a big fuss of them, they gave millions, and made Aliys to Israel so as to be able to give the Jewish State the benefit of their accumulated wisdom and expertise.

They were offended and appalled to find that the “machers” didn ‘t want them, they were only in the way, their expertise was not wanted, only their money. So all they had left to do was either return to their former homes sadder and wiser, or to the “Seniors Shuffle” above described.

This was from 1975 to about 1988, when I arrived back in Israel after a visit to my wife’s parents in Canada, to find my apartment trashed, a lifetime.s possessions, plus laid in items for my children when they grow up, everything smashed, trashed, destroyed. And the whole apartment block knew, they could hear the destruction which must have gone on for weeks

Not to mention all our building materials stolen and the building plot altered and minimised by 25% by the Moetza Mekomit. so that our painstaking architect’s custom plans were useless. ..(When I complained, the MAYOR growled..”if you don’t like it, go back where you came from) And much, much more. It would take a whole book to lay this mess out completely in a readable form. A strong complaint to Yosef Burg went nowhere, not even a reply.

I have described the whole tragedy elsewhere in past years on these pages and won’t go into it again,
