Palestinian state – is it consistent with US interests?.

Ambassador (ret.) Yoram Ettinger

Contrary to the State Department’s eagerness to establish a Palestinian state, all pro-US Arab leaders have refrained from tangible steps toward the establishment of a Palestinian state.

*While US policy makers extend a red-carpet reception to Palestinian officials, pro-US Arab leaders welcome them with a shabby doormat.

*The pro-US Arabs base their attitude toward the proposed Palestinian state on the rogue Palestinian intra-Arab track record, which features Palestinian subversion and terrorism against Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon and Kuwait.

*A Palestinian state west of the Jordan River would transform Jordan into a platform of Islamic terrorism with deadly ripple effects into the oil-producing pro-US Arab countries – a bonanza for Iran, the Muslim Brotherhood, Russia and China and a severe setback to the US economy, homeland and national security.

Yoram will be available for speaking engagements in the US in February 2024: The impact of Israel-Hamas war on the peace process and US-Israel relations; Israel’s contributions to the US economy & defense outweigh US foreign aid to Israel; 400-year-old roots of the US-Israel nexus; Myth of Arab demographic time bomb; Iran – negotiation or confrontation?
