Islamabad: Days after Iran launched air strikes in Pakistan’s Balochistan, Pakistani Army has reportedly attacked multiple target Iran in the early hours of Thursday, as per Pakistan media reports.

It has been claimed that Pakistan has targeted the positions of Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) and Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA). It is reported that after midnight, Pakistani fighter jets arrived and carried out the attacks. However, not much information has been revealed about these attacks.

Pakistan had given a strong reaction after Iran’s attack on Tuesday. Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said that this kind of work has happened despite the existence of many channels of communication between Pakistan and Iran. These attacks come during the time when the naval forces of Pakistan and Iran were conducting joint exercises to underline the close security cooperation between the two countries. Pakistan’s Foreign Minister had also told the Iranian Foreign Minister that he also has the right to reply
and can reply. After which the matter of these attacks has come to light.

Iran’s Air Strike In Pakistan

Iran carried out an air strike in Pakistan’s Balochistan region on Tuesday night from where terror outfit Jaish al-Adl was allegedly operating. Following the air strike, the Pakistani government strongly condemned the air strikes and accused Iran of violating its sovereignty and air space.

“It is even more concerning that this illegal act has taken place despite the existence of several channels of communication between Pakistan and Iran,” read an official statement from the Pakistani foreign ministry.

The foreign ministry further claimed that the attack on its territory resulted in the deaths of “two innocent children” as it warned Iran of “serious consequences of this unprovoked violation”.

Iran is yet to release an official statement regarding the attack. However, state-run Tasnim news, which is associated with the IRGS confirmed the attacks and shared purported videos of the same.

Following the strike, Pakistan summoned the Iranian charge d’affaires and issued its “strongest condemnation” for violating Pakistani sovereignty and airspace.

“Such unilateral acts are not in conformity with good neighbourly relations and can seriously undermine bilateral trust and confidence,” the foreign ministry stated further.

  1. This is a (new?) conflict that I don’t know much about, but if it keeps Iran busy for a while, that’s a good thing.

  2. The article does not make sense.
It says that Pakistan attacked Iran, and then it says that

“Pakistan has targeted the positions of Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) and Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA).”

Why would Pakistan retaliate by attacking Iran’s enemy?
