The ‘recognition of Palestine,’ the murder of Jews, and the collapse of the West

Peloni:  Prof. Francisco Gil-White provides his latest thought test whereby he challenges that the Nazis didn’t lose in WWII.

Francisco Gil-White | MOR | Sep 29, 2025

  • What is the briefest shortcut to an understanding of the postwar Western system, and the impending future for the West?
  • It is the British and French ‘recognition of Palestine,’ described in its proper context.
  • If Westerners do not wake up fast, the German Nazi Final Solution will soon be completed in Israel, and then all Westerners will be made slaves.

Cairo Gambles on Undermining Trump’s Gaza Plan

Peloni:  While Qatar moves closer to Washington, Egypt moves further away… The regional contest between the US and Egypt continues to grow and the consequence of this will likely add to the causes for Hamas’ ultimate rejection of Trump’s 20 Point Plan.

A resolution brokered by others, or one that diminishes Egypt’s role as the indispensable mediator, threatens Cairo’s geopolitical influence

Egypt is playing a dangerous double game. While publicly aligned with American efforts to stabilize the region, the Cairo regime undermines President Donald Trump’s peace plan for Gaza. Ziyad al-Nakhalah, secretary-general of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, fired the first rhetorical shot against the U.S.-Israeli proposal from the heart of Cairo, where he resides under the security and control of the Egyptian state. Reports confirm that Cairo has not only provided him a safe haven but also granted formal residency permits to him and other militant leaders, effectively institutionalizing their presence.

Israel Strikes Iran

Peloni:  This should be a very interesting read.

By Shoshana Bryen | JCP | October 1, 2025

Edwin Black’s new book, Israel Strikes Iran: Operation Rising Lion – The 20-Year Backstory, is a must-read. Don’t let the fact that you are unlikely to understand the details (unless you are a defense analyst or a nuclear weapons specialist) deter you.

Who Was Trump Signalling with his EO Extending Protection to Qatar?

Peloni:  Recall further that the real power behind Iran is China.  When Qatar moved towards the US for protections it did not receive while remaining in the Chinese sphere of influence, ie allied with Iran, the vast wealth of Qatar became a potential target in any upcoming conflict between the Israel and Iran, but only from Iran, not Israel.

There is a certain incoherence about the belief that an US executive order protecting Qatar was issued in relation to preventing any threat of attack from Israel.  Indeed, is it a reasonable conclusion that the US would need a formal declarative arrangement with Qatar to keep the Israelis from attacking the gulf state?  Notably, if there was any doubt about Israel’s deference to the US, we might recall that Bibi called off the final attack of the 12 Day War in complete deference to Trump’s statement that he do so.  We might recall further that it is being reported that Israel’s attack on Qatar was actually conducted with “quiet American approval,” as stated by Amit Segal among others.

Granting Qatar a Security Guarantee Is a Strategic Mistake

Peloni:  It is difficult to argue with anything stated here.  The Qataris have played the role of a major destabilizing force in the region and have earned the well sewn enmity with which it is generally held by its neighbors, both near and far.  But one point which should be shouldered in making this argument is that

With Trump’s Executive Order, America Has Allied Itself Not with a Partner for Peace, but an Agent for Instability

Gregg Roman | Middle East Forum | October 2, 2025

President Donald Trump’s September 29, 2025, executive order granting Qatar a NATO-style security guarantee is a strategic blunder built on a foundation of fantasy. The order cites the need to protect Qatar from “continuing threats … posed by foreign aggression.” The question is, what threats? What foreign aggression? The State of Qatar is not a victim in the Middle East; it is a source of the instability that plagues the region. The only “foreign aggression” it should fear is the consequence of its own policies.

Is the Democratic Party Finished/aLAlan Dershowitz/Talkline With Zev Brenner

Peloni:  Alan describes himself as an enemy of the Democratic party.  He also hopes to see Curt Sliwa or Andrew Cuomo drop out of the race.  If Mamdani is still successful in becoming mayor of NYC, Alan suggests that the focus shift towards seeing Mamdani’s agenda fail, thus preventing any successes on which the Democrats might build in the future.  Alan also addresses the issue of antisemitism and in this he states the most important goal should be to see Israel keep winning.

Gen. Avivi: Exposes Bigger Picture Behind Trump’s Hamas Deal in Gaza

Peloni:  Avivi states that Trump’s deal was written by Israel while presented by the US.  He asserts that the deal makes Israel the cornerstone in a global alliance against Russia, China and Iran.  He also indicates that Qatar has switched alliance partners from that of Iran to the US, but that Qata must deliver Hamas’ agreement to Trump’s 20 point plan to demonstrate that they have any relevance in this alliance, and Avivi is very confident that Qatar will succeed in getting Hamas to agree.

At the ADL, liberalism has trumped loyalty

Today, Jewish safety depends on strength. Jewish survival depends on sovereignty. And Jewish dignity depends on the refusal to be defined by others. The reborn State of Israel is the embodiment of that principle. Charlie Kirk knew that. The ADL does not.

In a world where anti-Semitism grows with bold impunity—from college campuses to United Nations chambers—one would expect organizations founded to defend Jews to do exactly that: defend Jews. Not just in America, but wherever Jewish life is under threat. Most especially in the only Jewish state, Israel.

Rewarding Oct 7 Will Globalize Oct 7

Peloni:  As the old conception in Israel make October 7 possible in Israel, a similar mental derangement permeates much of the West as public support for terror reaches an all time new level of insanity.  Recalling the adage that those who can not learn from the past are destined to revisit it, the anticipation of similar assaults to October 7 in the West would seem both logical and imminent.

And the next Oct 7 attacks may happen in Paris, London or New York City.

On July 23, 1968, the era of terrorist airline hijacking and hostage taking went into full swing when terrorists from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) hijacked an El-Al flight originating in London’s Heathrow Airport and headed out of Rome on the way to Israel.

A Man for One Season and the Anti-Scapegoat

Live every day like it’s your last is a popular saying. The Talmud[i] makes a similar statement, but its concept of living life to the fullest is more sobering. The focus is on being mindful about the opportunities for repentance. This is because each day may be the last opportunity to repent and even on that last day, by repenting, a person can earn eternal life.
