Obama changed his mosque endorsement after Palin called him out on it

Palin’s facebook comment

Mr. President, should they or should they not build a mosque steps away from where radical Islamists killed 3000 people? Please tell us your position. We all know that they have the right to do it, but should they? And, no, this is not above your pay grade. If those who wish to build this Ground Zero mosque are sincerely interested in encouraging positive “cross-cultural engagement” and dialogue to show a moderate and tolerant face of Islam, then why haven’t they recognized that the decision to build a mosque at this particular location is doing just the opposite?

Mr. President, why aren’t you encouraging the mosque developers to accept Governor Paterson’s generous offer of assistance in finding a new location for the mosque on state land if they move it away from Ground Zero? Why haven’t they jumped at this offer? Why are they apparently so set on building a mosque steps from what you have described, in agreement with me, as “hallowed ground”? I believe these are legitimate questions to ask.

Then she tweeted,

Mr. President, did you encourage the mosque dvlprs to accept Gov. Paterson’s offer of land if they move away from hallowed ground @ GZero?

Mr. President, why are they so set on marking an area w/ mosque steps from what you described, in agreement with many, as “hallowed ground”?

Palin is Obama’s nemesis. He’s scared shitless of her.

  1. I agree 100% with Laura all Mosques support terrorist organizations through Zakat 1/8 to be exact., That said, most Christians support missionaries even if indirectly as they have no control of where their general church donations wind up.

I know that the Christians aren’t using the donations for terrorism.

  3. Even people who oppose the islamic supremacist mega mosque at ground zero, make the point that they believe it is their right to build it, but that it is insensitive. However I reject that it is their right to build it. Supposing it has ties to terror groups, which in fact it does. In fact most mosques in America have terror ties. There is no right to build a mosque which will be used to indoctrinate jihadists and facilitate terrorism.

  4. I’ve heard/read Palin speaking/writing about this several times and she often uses language like “mark the area” calling to mind an animal marking its territory. I can’t say I’m enthralled with her often crass oratory skills but in this case, the back woods of Alaska have provided a most fitting metaphor.
