Speaking on MSNBC, Professor Scott Galloway discussed historical international military responses to underline his defense of Israel. He referenced significant events in U.S. history, noting, “After the attack on Pearl Harbor, which resulted in the deaths of 2,200 American servicemen, the U.S. military actions during World War II led to the deaths of approximately 3.5 million Japanese, including 100,000 in a single night. Similarly, following the 9/11 attacks that killed 2,800 Americans, subsequent U.S. military operations in Afghanistan and Iraq resulted in around 400,000 deaths. In these contexts, the U.S. was not accused of genocide.”

  1. Should have mentioned the bombing of Germany which killed about 2 million Germans and the between 500,000 and 2.5 million who died during the forced population transfer of the ethnic Germans of the territories that Nazi Germany had annexed. Most Americans think Hiroshima and Nagasaki were war crimes. Won’t find too many people who will have a problem with the disposition of the Germans, especially since they haven’t been told what to think about it, yet.

The movie, “Oppenheimer” that just came out, expresses horror at all the deaths from the dropping of the bomb on Japan. Einstein was opposed to dropping it on Japan though that’s not in the movie. But, he had hoped it would be dropped on Germany, see. In real life.
