  1. Destroying dams is normal part of warfare.
Americans, Brits, Ukrainians, and everyone else did or would do it were to help with their war efforts.

  2. Michael

The person in this video is too fond of himself. And probably on hallucinogenic substance. You too?

And you obviously follow in that same pattern.

It is extremely hard to listen to you.

Still he had interesting things to say about the structure of dams.

So am I right? It had to be from an inside bomb.

I return to the SAS. We know them from the 1970s in Ireland and the whole operation including disguise and entry, with sleepers also, would be child’s play.

And they are prominent in Ukraine today.

You don’t mention the British and their SAS killers.

So all of your hallucinations are just that! An insult to human intelligence.

  3. Hello, Felix. “Who did this”??

Please tell me what “this” is. I definitely encountered electronic interference on the AM of June 8, to where I couldn’t even log in.

If you mean “Who shot the rabbi?”, it was undoubtedly a Russian sniper from across the river.

If you mean, “Who blew the dam?”, it was probably the Russians, viz

  4. Putin is a cautious man. He reacted to Fascists winning state power in February 2014 by trying to collaborate with the West via the Minsk Agreements, over extended years. He tried again in December 2021 and even in April 2022. And he still acts with caution. But he has changed. He may have lost hope in the west.

(My points here re his caution are well and often drawn out by Professor John Mearsheimer)

The great danger to us all of totally existential Nuclear War comes from the total opposition to negotiation in London and America on all sides. This is what we have to get our minds round. This CAN BE the end of everything.

I understand this hatred of Russia. Ireland has its own peculiar form. It comes from the pulpit and from the deep EDUCATION, schools run from the pulpit, and the mass media today fills in. This is a great danger to us.

PS Each country can have its own variation

  5. We do not ever have complete information but the summary by Scott Ritter gives ENOUGH information and reiterated by Peloni reference the loss of prepared defence of the Russian line. That alone is enough.

    So how?

    By now Russia will know.

My reading from below suggests it was from inside, someone entered.

This is why I said Irish people know too well what the SAS are able to do in this very situation.

We need urgently to know from Russia

  6. @Michael
So you were joking about his religion. As I stated, I wasn’t certain about the reference you made.

I do find it interesting, however, that you did not comment on the ‘more balanced view…[from] the woman who literally wrote the book on Putin’s mindset’ in light of her lack of significant deficiency in accurately reading Putin’s mind? Might it not be fair to consider Koffler a benighted source of your own to “substitute your (well-meaning) wishes for facts”?

  7. Peloni,

Carlson made the original joke about his being an Episcopalian. Don’t bother me with this tripe.

  8. @ Felix – Thank you for expressing your passionate beliefs!! I believe you have completely confirmed the point I was making by expressing your passionate beliefs!

Naturally prefaced while attempting to severely insult me. Thank you again because if you are insulting me, I feel all is good in the world! Some things are so predictable!

  9. I answer this reactionary relativist garbage

    JUNE 8
I do not know who blew up the dam and neither does anyone else who is commenting here.

    ANSWER
Wrong. Using ordinary logic we have quickly identified this terrorism could not have been done by Russia but BY THE ONE FASCIST ENTITY UKRAINE

What is obvious the commentators are willing to believe anyone that puts out what they purport to be the evidence as long as it fits into their political narrative or philosophy. Objectivity is not at all visible. What is very visible is rationalizing and arguing of behalf of the narrative they want to be true.

    ANSWER
OBJECTIVITY IS VERY VISIBLE. We are politically opposed to Ukraine post 2014 because there was a Fascist Coup in February 2024. Fascists gained state control. Like Hitler did in 1933.

He wants to prevent us learning that vital lesson

And that’s the most vital lesson in politics. At all costs Fascism must not be in control of state.power.

  10. **NOBODY** blew up the dam.
90% of the dam still stands, only top is damaged.
Over the last year, the dam was hit countless times by Ukrainian rocket fires including HIMERS. Everyone understood that sooner or later it could collapse bot nobody knew when. So now the top of the broke off in one place.

There was a great danger that this would lead to the whole dam collapsing, fortunately it did not happen. At least for now he dam is holding.
The damage is mostly affecting civilians and it hurts more the people who are currently under the Russian control. It can potentially also hurt Crimea if the water level in the reservoir goes down further.

Militarily the mud will prevent heavy military equipment from moving across the area for the next several weeks. Therefore the talk about the mud protecting Russia against Ukrainian offensive.

However, everyone expects the offensive to be some 200km north-east from Nova Kahoka near Zaporozhe. The goal of the offensive is to cut off, or at least threaten the land bridge between Russia and Crimea.
So the main offensive goals are not affected by the flood.

  11. I do not know who blew up the dam and neither does anyone else who is commenting here. What is obvious the commentators are willing to believe anyone that puts out what they purport to be the evidence as long as it fits into their political narrative or philosophy. Objectivity is not at all visible. What is very visible is rationalizing and arguing of behalf of the narrative they want to be true.

In a war there is a lot of disinformation from the participants. That certainly is true in this war.

  12. Of course I am being a little shallow as Putin is just their hate figure of today. To get this we need to go back further, in fact to the conspiracy theory Jewish Bolshevism , which has underpinned Ukrainian Fascism since 1918

  13. The analysis of Redacted is very special because it hones in on the central question which is the vice like grip that’s holding the Biden and Nuland essentially a conspiracy theory together. That vice grip is the total Media excepting Twitter.

The Russian leadership is aware of the fragility of western leadership situation and fears greatly nuclear escalation by Nuland

Redacted on the dam terror from Ukraine horror, creating horror situation and possible horror for the whole world because the Russian side has no faith in the west any more. On Redacted they explain the real situation caused by Ukrainian Nazi action. Best is 1. Ukraine blows up dam 2. Banderaites go about in boats ostentatiously rescuing dogs. Message we good Putin evil.

    Great commentary

  14. @Michael
So, you prefer the Heritage Foundation Russian ‘expert’ whose predictions are not too reliable (see below) over the ‘Episcopalian’ Carlson whose reporting has themselves made headlines with their taboo breaking reports over the past several years. Well, let us each seek out the merits of the evidence which seems more convincing, but I would caution valuing Koffler’s predictions over Carlson’s reporting.

First of all, I am not particularly interested in coloring a person’s opinions based upon their religion alone. Consequently, your comment referencing Carlson’s religion as some form of liability, correct me if I misunderstood your point here, is in no way is evident in his dialogue that I can detect, being no expert as to that which you might be alluding. Now if you can explain why him being a Episcopalian might present some form of a liability in his reporting, I would be happy to consider your basis for making such a rather distasteful attack against him, from my perspective in any event. Furthermore, I am most impressed with Carlson’s reporting over the past several years, even as I am aware of a close connection between him and Hunter Biden. He has been a voice of reason and action in a period of history where reason and action have been rewarded with censorship and vilification, both of which Tucker is being dealt a fair share at current for his efforts.

In any event, Tucker is a commentator. He isn’t all knowing, he isn’t all seeing, and he isn’t perfect – plus he has an over anxious obsession with UFOs, but let us ignore this last point for the time being. So, when you place Tucker up against a Russian ‘expert’ such as Koffler, a women who has studied Russia and Putin in detail as a former member of Obama’s DIA, where she both worked under Gen. Flynn and was kept on after Flynn’s removal from that office, you are not comparing apples to apples, but apples to an Abrams tank, so to speak, where Koffler should be in a position to dominate the conversation with accuracy and knowledge beyond anything which Tucker the Episcopalian might be capable of grasping. Given this fact, I found it interesting that based on her deep understanding of Putin’s mind, Koffler reported on the eve of the Russian invasion so many false predictions. Among these, she stated that the Ukrainian communications networks would be taken offline and that there would be a massive air assault – both of which would precede the Russian invasion. In fact, the Russian SMO did not use the NATO playbook, which is why she likely erred in making these false assumptions. Furthermore, she claimed that Putin would seek to decapitate the Ukrainian govt with the execution of Zelensky and install a pro-Russian govt in its place, yet the only Ukrainian officials who have been removed from their positions in the Ukrainian govt has been by order of Zelensky himself, likely at the behest of his US masters. Once again, she is likely too well informed of how the US strategy of dominating lesser nations reacts in the opening hours of a military misadventure, as she was likely involved in quite a few of them, given her governmental role. Of course, I could be guessing why she thought these things would happen, but that isn’t necessary as Koffler herself told us that Russia based their strategy on the US leadership of NATO, a strategy which Koffler, herself, described a year ago, complete with gross errors and inaccurate prognostications. In fact the only thing which she correctly assessed in her forecast at the beginning of the war was that Russia would easily defeat the US sanction war.

So, given that Koffler spent her entire life in studying Putin, his mind and Russian stratagems to report the likely path Russia would take, only to fail in all but one of her key predictions at the outbreak of the war, why would anyone value what she claims she knows will happen next, much less what is in Putin’s mind (overselling herself a good bit too much IMO)? Ironically, her predictions were more erred than they were clairvoyant. So, I’ll stick with the factual reporting by the Episcopalian news commentator over the spy who seems to base her facts and conclusions ‘about Putin’s mind’ on an analysis of what NATO would do next.

By the way, here is Koffler’s predictions and analysis of Putin’s mind’ on the eve of the war:

  15. An article here:
    https://www.globalresearch.ca/russia-forewarned-un-secretary-general-kiev-plan-blow-up-kakhovskaya-dam/5821519

states that Russia forewarned the UN Security Council and the UN Secretary of Kiev’s plan to destroy the Kakhovskaya Dam in October 2022.
The evidence is overwhelming. The Kiev regime was behind the plot to destroy the dam.

Why on earth would Russia flood its own positions within the territories under its control?

The blow-up of the dam has had repercussions on the supply of water to Crimea.

The Western media in chorus is blaming the Russians without acknowledging the fact that the issue of the Hydroelectric Kakhovskaya Dam had been brought to the attention of the United Nations Security Council back on October 21, 2022.

The document was made available to all members of the UN Security Council.

The UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres was fully aware of the letter addressed to him by Russia’s UN Permanent Representative regarding Kiev’s plan to blow up the dam.

What did he do? Nothing. The UNSC had the responsibility to open an investigation.

  16. @Michael

substitute your (well-meaning) wishes for facts.

Please enlighten us with your, err, facts, and explain exactly how it is that Russia benefits from placing a lake on top if its defensive positions which have been under construction over the past six months – particularly given the reports of the Ukrainians having been training with amphibious gear which specifically would advantage them after Russia so cleverly submerged her own defensive lines. Also you might explain why Russia would take a chance at destabilizing the nuclear power plant which Ukraine has been attempting to blow up since they lost control of it since last year. Furthermore, you might explain further by telling us why Russia would find any advantage in undermining the water supply to Crimea which Ukraine has been doing for the past decade. When you are done with this, you might explain why Russia would render a vital piece of infrastructure into dust in a province recently adopted into Russia, dispossess its citizens of their property and lands by the creation of this new lake, and render the province’s ability to prosper to zero. These are simple questions, they deserve simple answers, even for those of us who are supposedly labeled as being led by unenlightened sources.

  17. Belman and Peloni,

You both have a marvelous ability to substitute your (well-meaning) wishes for facts. This is doubtless why you gravitate toward the benighted commentators such as Luongo, Ritter and Sleboda.

NATO, and the New World Order, are almost certain to win the Ukraine War. I would like to see the NWO perish from the earth; but at the moment, God seems to be on their side. As for Putin and his circle of commanders, our Russian friend Prigozhyn has the following to say:

    From Prygozhyn (auto translate):

Today, the Ministry of Defense reported on the defeat of the Leopard 2 tank, however, the destroyed vehicle looks more like a John Deer 4830 combine.
    ?
Yevgeny Prigozhin hastened to congratulate the military department on another victory:

“You can clearly see how the Leopard tanks move in a strange tactical maneuver towards each other. These tanks are disguised as agricultural combines, their muzzles are bent down, but this did not prevent our ATGMs from seeing enemy equipment in them.

The behavior of dill is especially outrageous. These bastards have learned to disguise tanks as combines, and tankers as combiners.

Thank you for your work. We will destroy everything that has a bent barrel.”

    https://tlgrm.eu/channels/@pilotblog/4485

This is what Shoigu and Gerasimov do, when they’re not getting drunk and shooting at their own people.

  18. Tom Luongo weighs in on the destruction of the Kahkovka dam:

Why would Russia attack a nuclear power plant in an area under its control?

Going back to Syria right after Donald Trump took office in early 2017, why would Assad gas civilians when he and Russia had the momentum and was clearly winning the war in Idlib province, invoking the wrath of the world?

Why would Russia blow up Nordstream 1 and 2 as they were initially accused of?

Why would Russia attack a dam in territory they control that provides local power to Kherson, cooling water to the ZNPP and fresh water to Crimea?

The answers to all of these questions is simply, “They wouldn’t.”

So now let’s do a little more historic digging into past behavior.

Before the war officially started who blew up power stations denying Crimea power in the fall of 2015, creating blackouts and real civilian hardship?

Who is on record saying that the Minsk Agreements were simply a time-buying exercise to arm Ukraine and freeze Russia for the war we have today?

Who staged a terrorist attack on the Kerch Strait Bridge?

Who has tested the waters on attacking the dam?

Whose leadership continues to go around the world desperately trying to convince rational people that this irrational ethnic war between tribes of Slavs is a fight for the future of western civilization?

Who intentionally helped stoke simmering hatred of all things Russian across the entirety of Eastern Europe to push the world to this moment?

In short, who armed Ukraine while never once acting with one ounce of humility or basic human decency to find a solution that didn’t involve thousands of dead Slavs?

The answer is the same people accusing Russia today of blowing up a dam that severely weakens their strategic position in southern Ukraine.

I encourage people to read the entire article which is not very long, particularly for Luongo, but his conclusion provides the truth under which Ukraine has been suffering for the past decade:

When viewed through the lens of the power-mongers who unleashed this war I leave you with one last question.

What do you call a hundred thousand dead Slavs fighting over swampland?

    A good start.

  19. It would take a great deal of willful denialism to disagree with Sleboda. The war aims of Ukraine’s lackluster performance in the field are all served by the destruction of this dam.

  20. Please, Ted! I can only handle so much BS! Let’s have some verifiable facts:

    1. A “mystery explosion” at the dam floods the lower Dnipr River, right in the middle of Ukraine’s preparations for a major offensive. It severely endanders Ukraine’s electric infrastructure, and threatens a nuclear disaster in Ukraine. The fact that it also makes Crimea totally dependent on Moscow for its water (Remember Nord Stream) is a secondary consideration.

    2. Both sides have blamed each other for the episode.

So far, THAT’S IT! Until we are presented with real evidence (which may never see the light of day, along with so much else nowadays), we are left with this:

    1. In the lead-up to the “disaster”, Russia (who controls the dam) increased the water level to a 30-year high — in spite of the fact that the dam had been badly damaged in earlier fighting.

    2. It is reported that the explosion came from INSIDE the dam, and that Russia had mined the dam during its evacuation of Kherson.

All of this will come out in due time. Meanwhile, Wagner’s commander, Prigozhin, says the Russian leader and his generals have gone crazy:

“Last Friday, Prigozhin separately released a statement alleging that “representatives of the Ministry of Defense” were found to have placed explosive charges—including “hundreds of anti-tank mines”—in Wagner’s retreat routes from Bakhmut. He argued that the explosives couldn’t have been placed to target Ukrainian soldiers due to their location. “Therefore, it can be assumed that they wanted to meet the advancing units of the Wagner PMC with these charges,” Prigozhin said.”

    https://www.thedailybeast.com/wagner-parades-captured-russian-colonel-as-feud-with-kremlin-boils-over

    (via Reuters)
“Wagner Group founder Yevgeny Prigozhin says he’s worried Russian authorities might bomb their own territory. In a video released via his press surface, Prigozhin said he’s “afraid” Moscow might get the “filthy idea” to “throw a nuclear bomb on their own territory” in the Belgorod region, where pro-Ukrainian Russian partisans have conducted a series of cross-border raids and claimed to take hostages. “Isn’t that why we’re retreating in the Belgorod region and allowing them to advance, because it’s scary to throw [a bomb] at someone else’s territory but we’ll throw one on our own?” he said. He went on to quip that “it’s a big question if [the nuclear bomb] would work properly.”

    https://www.thedailybeast.com/wagner-boss-yevgeny-prigozhin-afraid-russia-may-use-nuclear-bomb-on-own-territory

None of this affects Israel, at the moment.
