1. From the UK Daily Mail. Apparently the U.S army high command, for whom this guy is acting as an unofficial spokesman according to National Public Radio, is planning an ideological purge of soldiers in the U.S. armed forces. It also looks like they are planning a coup if Trump is reelected in 2024, while projecting their coup contingency plans onto Trump and Lindell.

   Gen. Anderson, who spoke to CNN about the upcoming 2024 elections and the threat of another possible insurrection, called Lindell a major source of misinformation while adding that Trump supporters must get educated on civics and political discourse.

   ‘There’s a threat within,’ the retired general told the network.

   ‘We’ve got some people that just haven’t been educated. They haven’t been found out, and they’ve grown in power, through perhaps inaction on the parts of some of our key leaders.’

   ‘What we can do now, identify those people, get them out of our ranks, and train the rest of the force on civics 101, about how our country is supposed to work, how elections work,’ he said.

   ‘Stop listening to the pillow guy and start learning about our country and how it’s actually supposed to run.’

   Lindell – or ‘The Pillow Guy’ as he’s now known, has become quite the outspoken conservative political activist and conspiracy theorist in recent years.

   He as propagated a number of 2020 election-related conspiracies, oftentimes stoking the political flames after the January 6 attack on the US Capitol, when the Proud Boys, a group of radical alt-right Trump supporters, stormed the US Capitol.

   Meanwhile, Trump is seeking to have the court dismiss a lawsuit against him by eight Capitol Hill cops who accused him of sparking the January 6th MAGA riot, the Daily Mail reported on Tuesday.

   The former president had addressed his supporters, many of whom believe Trump was cheated out of his reelection campaign during the 2020 presidential elections, at a rally outside of the White House on the morning of the riot.

   Many of them later marched on the Capitol and forced their way inside the building. The House of Representatives impeached Trump for his role but the Senate acquitted him.

   But Trump argues he isn’t ‘vicariously liable’ for the actions of people who heard him speak at a ‘Stop the Steal’ rally before the riot, Bloomberg News reported.

   ‘Speakers at political rallies do not owe a duty of care to members of Congress or Capitol Police Officers not at the rally,’ Trump’s lawyer Jesse Binnall said in the Dec. 24 filing in federal court in Washington.

   Trump continues to falsely claim he won the 2020 presidential election instead of Joe Biden. The lawsuit from the officers, who were at the Capitol on the day of the riot, is one of many he is facing for his role

   Lindell reportedly spent $25 million to push false pro-Trump election claims, saying ‘I will spend whatever it takes’ to get the former president back in office, according to a December 16 CNBC report.

   The show’s host, Pamela Brown, asked Gen. Anderson to discus his concerns on the ‘partisan divide’ that has been plaguing US politics since the election of Trump back in 2016.

   ‘Really quickly, just walk us through your concern about this partisan divide and how it could impact the chain of command, and why that is so concerning to you in terms of preventing another coup attempt potentially in 2024,’ asked Brown.

   The retired general cited Trump’s cult-like personality, which developed a legion of loyal followers who have since proven to follow the former president ‘like a king,’ Anderson said.

   ‘Well, the big problem here is allegiance to the Constitution, versus allegiance to a leader. Or in this case, a cult-like figure like Trump,’ said Anderson.

   ‘There’s a lot of people in uniform that are confused about that. They think the president is something like a king, and it’s not.’

   ‘You know, we swore an oath to the Constitution. That’s how our soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines need to act.’

   ‘And you know we’re concerned that there’s so much activity within the military that shows that people are ignorant of what our Constitution is really all about, and they have responded to people like Trump, and when he tells them to jump, they’re probably willing to do that.’

   Anderson has since voiced his criticisms of Trump and his concerns of an insurrection or ‘civil war’ in 2024, when midterm elections are set to take place.

   He graduated from the US Military Academy in 1978 and served as a Platoon Leader before working his way up to the rank of Brigadier General.

   In 2006, Anderson served as the Director of Multi-National Forces in Iraq. His military career ended in 2008 while working at the Pentagon.

   A federal judge rejected Lindell’s defamation lawsuit against the Daily Mail earlier this month, asserting in the ruling that the article the conspiracy theorist sued over ‘cannot be reasonably construed as defamatory.’
