NIF leader: disappearance of Jewish state no tragedy

Fresno Zionism

This is stunning.

Actually, it’s completely expected, not surprising at all. It’s like your spouse admitting to having an affair. You knew it all along but hearing from her own lips is … stunning.

Last year, the US Embassy in Tel Aviv interviewed a number of people in connection with a law being considered by the Knesset to require transparency in non-governmental organization (NGO) funding.

It had become common knowledge that huge amounts of money from such sources as European governments and the New Israel Fund (NIF) in the US were flowing to ‘Israeli’ NGOs — primarily left-wing organizations — which were acting against the interests of the State of Israel. A particularly egregious example was the way a group of these NGOs provided almost all of the anti-IDF material in the UN’s vicious blood libel, the Goldstone Report.

Ambassador James B. Cunningham reported on the interviews in a cable sent to the State Department on February 25, 2010, now made public by Wikileaks. The cable includes an explanation by Dr. Gerald Steinberg of NGO Monitor (a source I’ve quoted often) of why the legislation, based on the US Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) is needed.

You should read that, but let’s cut to the chase. Ambassador Cunningham’s cable included this:

New Israel Fund (NIF) [former] Associate Director in Israel Hedva Radovanitz, who manages grants to 350 NGOs totaling about 18 million dollars per year, told PolOff [political officer] on February 23 that the campaign against the NGOs was due to the “disappearance of the political left wing” in Israel and the lack of domestic constituency for the NGOs. She noted that when she headed ACRI’s [Association for Civil Rights in Israel] Tel Aviv office, ACRI had 5,000 members, while today it has less than 800, and it was only able to muster about 5,000 people to its December human rights march by relying on the active staff of the 120 NGOs that participated. Radovanitz commented that the NIF was working behind the scenes through many NGOs to prevent the NGO legislation from passing in its current form. She commented that she believed that in 100 years Israel would be majority Arab and that the disappearance of a Jewish state would not be the tragedy that Israelis fear since it would become more democratic.

Could we roll the tape back, please:

She commented that she believed that in 100 years Israel would be majority Arab and that the disappearance of a Jewish state would not be the tragedy that Israelis fear since it would become more democratic.

I would like all of my friends here in America who contribute to the NIF because they would like Israel to become “more democratic” to please read that again, and think about it.

Think about the sacrifices made by leftists and rightists alike to create a Jewish state of Israel. How many died unable to reach the land of Israel, how many suffered or died in the wars to create the state and protect it, how many struggled in poverty to build the state in an inhospitable land surrounded by hostile neighbors. The one, single, tiny Jewish state in the world. The one place a Jew is always welcome.

And this woman believes that a Jewish state can’t be democratic enough? That 22 Arab states in the Middle East aren’t enough, there should be 23? That the ‘Palestinian people’ have a right to realize their national aspirations but the Jewish people do not? That everything that the Jewish people created at such great cost in their historic homeland should be dismantled and the Jews sent out to wander the world, living or dying by the whims of ‘real’ nations?

Don’t kid yourself — that is what she (and the NIF) are working toward. Perhaps they imagine that Jews and Arabs could live together in peace, in the new, more democratic, Arab-majority state they want to create. Just look around in the Middle East if you  believe this.

Do not support the NIF of Hedva Radovanitz. Israel is a democracy, although it is not a democracy just like the US. There is a reason that the Israeli Left is disappearing, and that is because Israelis have learned by hard experience — from Gaza, for one example — that concessions and withdrawals do not bring peace.

Live in Israel or support it in the diaspora, but do not help those who want to destroy it.

Because they are for the most Marxists, self hating, Israel hating and God hating–Jews have a long history of working to undermine and to destroy their own people!

Most Jews today wouldn’t know Marxism from Hare Krishna! Liberalism is not Marxism and is basically what true conservatism is really all about. What is the difference between your worldview and any other fascist?

  2. @ Asia Michael:

We have seen and survived and outlasted all ism’s in History. There is only one Ism that holds universal and eternal truth… ‘Judaism’.

“Moses our Teacher granted the Torah and mitzvot only to the people of Israel… and to whoever from among the nations of the world who wishes to convert to Judaism… But Moses also instructed, by word of G-d, to prevail (FORCE) upon all inhabitants of the world to accept the [seven] mitzvot commanded to the children of Noah…”

(Rambam, Mishneh Torah, Laws of Kings 8:10)

  3. @ Robert S Barnes:

That’s one thing that I can’t understand about Netanyahu. I while back there was a proposal by Liberman’s party to pass a law requiring vetting / approval of Supreme Court candidates by the Knesset, which is the norm in the USA and many other democracies. Yet Bibi opposed the bill as anti-democratic. What’s up with that?

BB is a leftist in nationalists Garb. That the brain dead still refuse to accept this despite all the empirical evidence goes to the heart of who and what we are and why we are currently facing most of our internal and external problems and challenges.

Time to face up and act accordingly. If there is no difference BETWEEN BB and the LIKUD and Livni and Kadima then the answer lies with neither of these two like-minded groups. Must depose BB for anyone and any other party. That’s the first step, Political Chaos can have some positive results. It could immunize all of our political leadership from any outside pressures up to a year. Freeze the movement for social reform and make the next election cycle a referendum on Peace with the Arabs, Security, Social Justice reforms, and territorial compromises…..!!!!

  4. People wonder why this kind of stuff is tolerated here. It’s very straight forward. Both the state prosecutors office and the senior levels of the judicial system are still in a left-wing death grip. About ten years ago during the 2000 elections I was an activist for the Moledet party and while on a bus north I found some campaign pamphlets in Arabic for one of the Arab political parties which someone had left on the bus. The pamphlets showed proud pictures of the Arab Knesset members posing in Gaza with Ahmed Yassin, the leader of Hamas. I turned in the material to one of Rabbi Benny Elon’s deputies, and IIRC they filed a complaint with the Elections Board, but nothing happened. There were also complaints filed about the fact that the Arab parties negated the Jewish character of the state, but Justice Cheshin basically said they would let the parties run, in contravention of the law, based on the hope that they would “improve” in the future. Whatever that means.

Then of course there is Edna Arbel, who currently sits on the Supreme Court. She was state attorney during the Avishai Raviv coverup, and assisted and approved a complete cover-up of over 9 years worth of criminal actions by Raviv on the behalf of the GSS. She and everyone involved in the Raviv coverup should be in jail, yet she sits on the Supreme Court. Go figure.

That’s one thing that I can’t understand about Netanyahu. I while back there was a proposal by Liberman’s party to pass a law requiring vetting / approval of Supreme Court candidates by the Knesset, which is the norm in the USA and many other democracies. @ C.R.:
    You go too far.

No Mr. Belman–I tell it like it is–I do not pull my punches as it were! And if you took an honest account of Biblical and worldly Jewish history–then you would see it much as I do. I think God for the few Jews who truly do love and support Israel–who have not gone whoring after the Godless religion of Marxism!

  6. @ Laura:
Because they are for the most Marxists, self hating, Israel hating and God hating–Jews have a long history of working to undermine and to destroy their own people!

  7. This is in no was surprising to me–there are many many Jews within Israel and without who are literally working to destroy the state of Israel; these are God hating, self hating and Israel hating Jews [USA hating]–also not surprising and mostly of a Marxist bent. This together with the reality that most American Jews do not truly care one way or the other about Israel–leaves only a small number of Jews who truly do love and support Israel–without any Marxist ideology, which to a large extent has destroyed Jewish thinking and morality! As for charities and other organizations who supposedly support Israel–most Jewish organizations do not truly support Israel–the very best supporters of Israel are often non Jewish and Christian. I don’t get taken in by groups like the NIF, J-Street and even AIPAC the latter actually believed Barack Obama supported Israel when he spoke at their meeting in 2008–I knew that Obama was lying through his teeth and truly hated Israell; because I do not take their word for it–I actually spend a significant amount of time investigating who and what such groups truly are.

  8. @ yamit82:
NIF is an organization which looks like sheep on the outside, but actually they wolves waiting to devour all Israel using the teaching of Balaam and Jezebel. watch out for any organization which have sexual orientation as their view, such view is of Nicolaitan’s preaching. For in the last day, the world is worst than sodom and Gormorrah, even their sins pale against this group calling Lesbian gay, bisexual, transgender as sexual orientation people.

  9. The leftists do not want to live under Arab rule where they could suffer persecution. They prefer to enjoy the advantages of living inside Israel where they can enjoy all the advantages while they satisfy their sick desire to undermine Israel’s security. The main problem is that they are allowed to remain instead of being expelled.

  10. She commented that she believed that in 100 years Israel would be majority Arab and that the disappearance of a Jewish state would not be the tragedy that Israelis fear since it would become more democratic.

Whoever said that, has a turnip for a brain. Is she Jewish?

Hedva Radovanitz… I can’t find a bio on her. If I were Jewish, I wouldn’t want her to be Jewish.

  11. I’m wondering why these leftist “Jews” don’t just simply leave Israel if they believe it should not be a Jewish state. Perhaps they would feel more at home in an Arab country since they are so anxious for Israel to be an arab-islamic state.

I like that Yamit: Democracy in action

    !

The NIF must be nothing more than a bunch of loons.

The reward for their efforts, the NIF and their followers should live under Arab rule for awhile and get a good taste of their so called democracy.

They should be run out of Israel, never to return.

Their hatred for Israel and her people is blinding.

  13. I would democratically ban the NIF and their leaders. I would democratically try them convict them for treason and crimes against the Jewish People and the Jewish State and democratically Hang every one of them. I would not allow their burial in Israel but only in Gaza or any place other than the soil of the nation they so despise if not hate. All the aforementioned should be done Democratically and in accordance to the law. If the Laws need to be changed or amended then we must democratically do it.

I like that Yamit: Democracy in action!

  14. Hahaha!!! Arab and democratic??? Still laughing.
There is not a single democratic Arab state in the world. And as long as they remain Musloid, there will not be any.
So what is that nonsense about “Arab and democratic”?

  15. She commented that she believed that in 100 years Israel would be majority Arab and that the disappearance of a Jewish state would not be the tragedy that Israelis fear since it would become more democratic.

“I would like all of my friends here in America who contribute to the NIF because they would like Israel to become “more democratic” to please read that again, and think about it.”

NIF are subversive anti-Jewish, anti-nationalist ‘ONE WORLDERS’. They are the agents of the Globalist forces seeking the erradication of all national states. They are most funded by those alien and inimical forces to both Judaism and Jewish nationalism. Democracy for them is a code and a weapon to be used to effect their nefarious agenda.
