Netanyahu’s Sanity of Silence:  What Netanyahu Knows but Is Not Saying

T. Belman. Everybody who pays attention, knows it. Many who advocate peace or interfaith dialogue with Muslims know it but prefer to ignore it or live in hope and fantasy. Many on the left who support the alliance between the left and Muslims, count on it.

By Prof. Paul Eidelberg

The sanity of silence induces Netanyahu to say nothing of the barbarism that would follow the creation of a Palestinian state in the Land of Israel, a state led by Muslims. It would be madness for him to declare that, since the founding of Islam almost 2,000 years ago, the disciples of this religion have slaughtered 250 million non-Muslims!  Consider some other facts.

Netanyahu knows Islam is generally regarded as one of the three great monotheistic religions. However, he is not about to quote the Catholic theologian Dr. George Weigel, who said that “To speak of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam as the “three Abrahamic faiths” is a myth.

Netanyahu knows what the renowned nineteenth-century thinker Alexis de Tocqueville has said about Muhammad, the founder of Islam. But the sanity of silence forbids him to quote de Tocqueville, who said that “there have been few religions in the world as deadly to men as that of Muhammad.”

Netanyahu also knows what Winston Churchill said about Muslims, that “No stronger retrograde force exists in the world.” But for Israel’s prime minster to say this would qualify him for the insane asylum.

Netanyahu can’t promote the two-state solution among the sane people of Israel by telling them what Churchill and de Tocqueville have said about Muslims. Nor can he quote the words of those who have been enslaved by Muslims, such as Simon Deng.  Indeed, Netanyahu doesn’t want Americans and Jews to know anything about Simon Deng. Deng was born in the Sudan. He was captured and enslaved by Muslims. He eventually escaped and immigrated to the United States. This heroic personality has lectured widely about the horrors of Islam. But Netanyahu does not want Jews in Israel to know about this heroic personality, and what Deng revealed in a speech he delivered at the New York Durban Watch Conference of September 22, 2011. I quote:

In South Sudan, my homeland, about 4 million innocent men, women and children were slaughtered from 1955 to 2005. Seven million were ethnically cleansed and they became the largest refugee group since World War II… Everybody at the UN is concerned about the so-called Palestinian refugees. The UN dedicated a separate agency, UNWRA, to provide for them. While the UNWRA treats them with special privilege, my people [have been], ethnically cleansed, murdered and enslaved …

Netanyahu surely knows about this genocide, but the sanity of silence forbids him to say anything about it.

The same sanity renders him silent about the horrific revelations of former Muslim Dr. Abul Kassem, a prolific writer from Bangladesh. Kassem’s knowledge of Islamic barbarism is of relevance to Netanyahu’s two-state solution.  But Netanyahu will not reveal what Kasem said in a January 7, 2008 interview with Dr. Jamie Glazer of the prestigious FrontPageMagazine (FPM):

“When I was nine, a typical Mullah taught me the Islamic rituals … and how to recite the Qur’an correctly. He also taught us that Muslims are the only inheritors of the earth that we must never mix with the non-Muslims, we must hate them, humiliate them verbally, and if possible, physically.

“In high school … one of my Hindu friends was brutally murdered by Islamist fanatics. This was a life-changing experience, as I witnessed the mutilated dead bodies of my friend, his parents, and siblings. When I discussed this with a few Muslim gentlemen … they told me that the Hindus deserved to be killed; there should not be any Hindus in our Muslim land. Further, I learned from them that in Islam, there is a great reward for killing the non-Muslims.

“Shocked, I decided to read the theological sources of Islam. What I discovered horrified me. It was beyond my comprehension that a religion, touted to be the religion of peace, could contain such blood-curdling, terrifying, barbaric verses, cultures, and laws to entice the entire Islamic community to slaughter the infidels and the not-so-good Muslims.”

FrontPage: So share with us a bit of what you discovered in Islam.

Kassem: Ok, here is a bit of my education [concerning Islam and its historical sources]:

  • Prophet [Muhammad] allowed rape of war-captives.– Sahih Bukhari, 3.46.718.
  • Muhammad ordered a Muslim woman to breastfeed a man. She protested but ultimately had to do so. – ibn Majah, 3.1943.
  • Muhammad ordered the murder of Asma Marwan, a Jewish poetess when she was suckling her babies. – ibn Ishaq, p. 676, ibn sa’d, vol. ii, p.30-31.
  • The Messenger of Allah said, “Whoever of the Jews falls into your hands, kill him.” Muhayyish b. Masud killed his friend and business-partner Ibn Sunaynah – Tabari, vol.vii, p. 97-98.
  • Muhammad beheaded between 600-900 Jews of B. Qurayzah who did not fight Muslims but were attacked, and they surrendered unconditionally – Tabari, vol.viii, ch. B. Qurayzah; Heykal, ch. the Campaign of Khandaq and B. Qurayzah, ibn Ishaq, ch. B. Qurayzah.
  • Allah favours Arab racism … of Quraysh stock and of white complexion (ibn Sa’d, vol.1,  p. 95-96, Sahih Muslim, 20.4483.
  • Muhammad traded slaves for beautiful, young, and sexy women, such as Saffiya. – Sunaan Abu Dawud, 2.2987, 2991.
  • A woman must keep her sexual organs ready for service at all times (Ihya Uloom Ed-Din of Ghazali, Tr. Dr. Ahmad Zidan, vol. i, p.235)
  • Allah made Muhammad wealthy through conquests (raid, plunder, war). – Sahih Bukhari, 3.37.495. These are only few of the thousands of documents that sized and shaped my journey through Islam.

Leaving Kasem aside, who obviously scorns the sanity of silence, the question arises: Did Netanyahu know of this savagery when he endorsed a Palestinian state? Or was he just practicing the sanity of silence?

Was he also oblivious of the revelations of Dr. Serge Trifkovic, author of The Sword of the Prop het (2002)? Trifkovic, a scholar of Serbian descent, pursued postdoctoral research at the prestigious Hoover Institute at Stanford. He portrays Muhammad as a fanatical warlord who used or invented Islamic ideas in the process of conquering Mecca and Medina. Citing the Qur’an and the Hadiths, Trifkovic exposes himself as an Islamophobe by dismissing the sanity of silence by referring to Islam’s prophet as cruel, ignorant, and lascivious. Thus, after slaughtering Arab tribesmen and looting their camels, the prophet and his followers kidnapped their women and staged an orgy of rape.

Trifkovic, who is not as reserved about Islam as the very polite Englishman Bernard Lewis, sums up his assessment of Muhammad by quoting the eminent orientalist Sir William Muir (1819-1905): “The sword of Muhammad and the Quran are the most fatal enemies of civilization, liberty, and truth which the world has yet known.”

Although Netanyahu is not oblivious of Islam’s murderous hatred of Jews, he’s too polite to say anything disparaging of Islam’s Palestinian cohorts in Judea and Samaria, even though they have used children as human bombs. To the contrary, judging from his behavior, Netanyahu, like a sheltered American  Jew, wants to reward these disciples of Muhammad with statehood!

Anyone who thinks that the mogul Donald Trump can design a plan which in a trice can overcome almost 2000 years of Islamic barbarism, is not living on  planet earth. ?

  1. It would be nice to see Netanyahu take the gloves off and start telling these truths. But he knows much more than we do and he IS a brilliant diplomat. We do see the fakistinians weakening and not able to do much more than make threats which reveal a sense of desperation. Maybe Netanyahu is playing the long game and knows how to string the Arabs along until one day Poof!, they find themselves deported or sent to Jordan. We are also seeing more and more media reports that the two-state solution is a fail and not gonna happen. But Netanyahu doesn’t have to say the things Eidelburg brings up, because we know these things.

  2. @ Sebastien Zorn:

I’m sorry. I didn’t see the sarcasm. I saw two paragraphs which were essentially correct in their content. He DID fix that skating rink, and for $2 mill, where they’d already thrown away $30 mill and were at a dead end. He IS a practical guy, but not so much in politics as in business. Politics requires a certain patina of slime.

He is not guaranteeing that he can and will fix that peace process..He keeps saying that it’s up to the parties and he’ll go along with whatever they agree to. I think he’s restricted his efforts to bringing them together to talk……..if he can. He may bribe Abbas to do this and Abbas will take the loot and after a week will walk away…that is if he can still walk..He must be very frail, the pictures we see are years old.

  3. @ Edgar G.:
I was being sarcastic, actually, but it could be what he is doing. I am also hoping that what we can see is not what we will get.

    {spoiler alert} In that spirit,
Maybe we should protest against what we want like Sallah Shabati with the understanding that “you always get what you don’t want.”

  4. @ Sebastien Zorn:

This is our HOPE but not yet our BELIEF..He hold his cards too close to see, The Jews are used to disappointments and to waiting many long years etc. So that’s all we can do. The Arabs are doing a good job anyway, to encourage Trump to help the Jews to our goal.

  5. I really don’t understand why anybody would doubt Trump’s ability to devise a plan that would make the lion lay down with the lamb; he successfully came up with a plan to repair and replace the Wollman Skating Rink when nobody else could do the job — by bringing in a Canadian company to start from scratch — under budget and ahead of time! He’s a practical guy.
Trump obviously means to facilitate the Palestinian Arabs moving to Jordan, support removing restrictions on Jews living whereever we want from the river to the sea and start from scratch. It’s a no-brainer. ‘Cause he’s a practical guy.

  6. Where did that nonsensical phrase re the barbarities of Islam , come from. It should be changed to “Teh Sanity Of Stupidity.”. Why was he afraid to mention the list above, that as Eidelberg says, Netanyahu know about. Would he betray his country that he fights fo every day in the international arena, just to make the so-called “Palestinians” seem like human beings…. I don’t believe it. .

Everything that Eidelberg mentiond that he says Netanyahu know about, is known by both, only becaus they have been documented by others. They would not be regarded as fantasies just made up by Netanyahu, who could produce the sources on the spot.

So what is this article all about anyway. Please someone, tell me, I’m not feeling too bright today. Perhaps cynicism from Eidelberg, perhaps a stab at Netanyahu because of thAT 2009 SPEECH…….??? or just to facilitate a “Peace Plan”…
