Netanyahu: “an historic mistake”

Following is an excerpt from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s remarks at the start of the weekly Cabinet meeting today (Sunday, 24 November 2013):

“What was achieved last night in Geneva is not an historic agreement; it is an historic mistake. Today the world has become a much more dangerous place because the most dangerous regime in the world has taken a significant step toward attaining the most dangerous weapon in the world. For the first time, the world’s leading powers have agreed to uranium enrichment in Iran while ignoring the UN Security Council decisions that they themselves led. Sanctions that required many years to put in place contain the best chance for a peaceful solution. These sanctions have been given up in exchange for cosmetic Iranian concessions that can be cancelled in weeks. This agreement and what it means endanger many countries including, of course, Israel. Israel is not bound by this agreement. The Iranian regime is committed to the destruction of Israel and Israel has the right and the obligation to defend itself, by itself, against any threat. As Prime Minister of Israel, I would like to make it clear: Israel will not allow Iran to develop a military nuclear capability.”

Netanyahu sending team to work with Obama on final solution

“There’s a part of me that says that this is Netanyahu being spineless again. And there’s a part of me that says that there may not be much choice and that he’s trying to make the best of a bad situation.

Of course, that bad situation is largely of Netanayhu’s own making. Even Ehud Olmert found the backbone to pull the trigger against Syria over American objections. After nearly five years in power, Netanyahu still hasn’t found the backbone to stand up to the Obama administration, and now has put Israel in a situation where Iran is virtually untouchable for the next six months.”

Yes pls save me I need savings especially if it comes with perks like home made pot roast. Do you make meat or chicken pot pies? Football I can take of leave it’s no longer important to me. I watch sometimes mostly out of nostalgia for a a time past and gone. Seldom find any comparison and satisfaction for my effort.

NE-Denver was interesting. Brady still the Best. Danny Manning most overrated QB in football and is not worth 75 million contract. Because of him the Giants can’t afford to hire better players. In past years his exceptional receivers and outstanding line gave him time and protection. This year show the real Manning. Get rid of him and buy a good veteran QB for a fraction of the cost to manning and rebuild the team. problem with pro Football is that whether they win or lose they make a lot of money, too much money.

“Breaking Bad” Never heard of it so I guess we don’t get it here.

according to him the only difference between judaism and christianity is the divinity of jesus.

He never really explained who was the biological daddy who impregnated his virginal mama who had a whole passel of siblings to his savior guy. So were they halfsiblings? Older Siblings or younger siblings? christian scriptures never say. If a supernatural being impregnated his mother wouldn’t he be half human half Vulcan? Was the brother of geezus an only child? If his geezus was resurrected does that mean he was a supernatural being? “Any phenomena that happens only once is considered to be a supernatural event or act” To Claim that G-d has a family Like sons, why not also daughters, cousins, uncles and aunts? A whole pantheon of family relatives. Instead of 3 into 1 we can have possible thousands or even millions of possibilities. Does dweller believe:”Jesus said: “I and the Father are one” (John 10:30). The Torah says: “God is not a mortal” (Numbers 23:19). John 7:5 For even his brothers did not believe in him. dweller does. 🙂

Mark 3:21 Upon hearing of it, his family went out to seize him, for they said, ‘He is beside himself’.

To offset the startling fact that yeshu’s family thought that he was insane, some New Testament editions replace “they” with “people”, although “they” is in the original Greek text.

Judaism says that the Messiah will be born of human parents, and possess normal physical attributes like other people. He will not be a demi-god, and will not possess supernatural qualities. In fact, an individual is alive in every generation with the capacity to step into the role of the Messiah. (see Maimonides – Laws of Kings 11:3)

dweller claims his messiah was not a deity or demigod but if he was a halfbreed human, what is it? How many humans do we know of that were resurrected? If he claims his messiah guy was not a deity, was he a human? dweller never addressed these question at least satisfactorily. Since the messiah is not named or mentioned in the Hebrew scripture the christians must have gotten their primary notions from outside of Judaism.

Of the 15,000 religions in human history, only Judaism bases its belief on national revelation—i.e. G-d speaking to the entire nation. If G-d is going to start a religion, it makes sense He’ll tell everyone, not just one person. Judaism, unique among all of the world’s major religions, does not rely on “claims of miracles” as the basis for its religion. In fact, the Bible says that G-d sometimes grants the power of “miracles” to charlatans, in order to test Jewish loyalty to the Torah (Deut. 13:4).

To believe in his mistaken ideas and attributions as to what and who was the Jewish Messiah was and should be is not a sin in itself but he does not stop there. He follows the christian triune theological concept, mother a virgin who births a son, an immaculate production and father???? Let’s say it wasn’t Joseph. He believes in the christian concept of resurrection and return and the revers the NT and the apostles and any position of conflict between Judaism and Christianity he sides with the cross. He reads the scripture literally except the NT who is apologetic for discrepancies and will offer any made up excuse and justification but rejects the Jewish oral tradition and rabbinic authority and claims he is just as qualified and knowledgeable as our greatest sages saying that all they give are jut opinions..

his beliefs like saytan and goblins (demons) can be found nowhere in Jewish beliefs but they are integral to christian ones. If yeshu did not have a human father, then his ancestral line to David was cut off. In Judaism, one’s family lineage is only through the father’s male ancestors. Thus, in the Hebrew Bible, women are not listed in any genealogy (see Chronicles).

Hebrews 5:7 youshka prayed with loud crying and supplications and tears to Him Who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because he feared.

    Feared????? 🙂
He rejection the notion that conscience is derived from education , culture and beliefs. His final authority is the NT and himself. No Jewish denomination especially the reform and reconstructionists, were his beliefs made know would reject him membership in their congregations. He can call himself Spock for all we care but he can’t get away from calling himself Jewish…. He has crossed to the other side of just an apostate or lapsed ignorant Jew.

Convert curio? I thought they were the same religion

according to him the only difference between judaism and christianity is the divinity of jesus. However, he believes in Jesus as the jewish messiah, jesus resurrection, jesus virgin birth, and the second coming. When asked for the Jewish basis for this belief he first said “epiphany” and now adds because other jews believed it. I think that other jews also believed in the golden calf, the sabbateans, joined the 3rd reich army, etc. hardly a “jewish basis”. He considers it crass and hokey to have feelings of revulsion for christianity and jesus, whereas I consider it ignorant or absurd for a jew not to have such feelings. Ignorance is a hallmark of many jews, especially in the US, but he could not claim ignorance for his lack of revulsion and his view that the missionaries are just following their faith. The nazis were also following their faith, which had a much shorter history of killing jews.

Yamit82 las cooment was a dozy. I wanted to congradulate him for “sticking it” to dweller!

true. the act is an abstration and I think so is his claim to Judaism and being Jewish. He considers it crass and hokey pokey to have feelings of revulsion when confronted with missionaries preaching christianity and Jesus. For me both words symbolize 2000 years of dead and suffering jews, its difficult to see behind that pattern of behavior, for me, when I hear those words. However, he has no such problem, likely becuase he stands in their shoes and not ours. A west indian saying “who feels it knows it”. I expect that US blacks would be similarly disposed when the grand wizard shows up draped in a confederate flag seeking members, its absurd. Or Eichmann trying to convince me of the values of nazism. There is sort of an elephant in the room that appears to be trivial to non jews and ignorant jews. I find it unimaginable for a jew to embrace an ideology or join a collective that has been torturing jews for 2000 years, DUH??. Apparently hitler loved dogs which to some demonstrates a good side. It is not yesterdays issue as the same collective continues today and forms the main thrust in the delegitimization of the Jews relationship to Israel.

  15. honeybee Said:

I am worrying about your fascination with salami and gerbils???

An odd combination, but not to worry. I love salami but the other appears to be more related to Dwellers expertise and experience. My fascination was ignited by Dwellers bringing up gerbils to you a couple of times. I thought it odd,as I hadn’t heard them referred to over the last 20 years and wondered, perhaps mischievously, why they were on Dwellers mind? Perhaps a freudian slip of memory dwelling in the mind of a self appointed amateur psychoanalyst? When I ran across that comment which I quoted you, from another blog re Obama(koran in one pocket gerbil in the other), I didn’t want to miss the opportunity for a little light entertainment to brighten up the humdrum. After all render unto caesar that which is caesars, no?

    @ yamit82:

I also found it odd that in one of wackos last comments he said that maybe he could convert curio. Convert curio? I thought they were the same religion with a different twist. That is what Christianity is all about. 48,000 different twists. They are only missing ONE. The CORRECT one!!

  19. @ yamit82:
apparently the lying missionary slipped his reply in at the last moment on the pax americana page which now expired, so I am unable to reply to his patently obvious ludicrous posts. He replied to mine and other later posts but waited till the last minute to shovel in his BS. I know he is well aware of the 10 day deadline as I learned of it from him. Perhaps he was busy with those gerbils he was discussing with HB.

  21. John Bolton agrees with me that the real reason for this deal with Iran was to prevent Israel from attacking. As I said yesterday, this illusion of a deal will make it that much more difficult for Israel politically to justify striking Iran without being considered as the aggressor hindering “peace” and bringing the world to war. They have no choice but to do it anyway. Better to have to withstand the vicious diplomatic fallout than nuclear fallout.

  22. @ honeybee:

    Sorry… what is confusing?

By the way the afternoon temps here are in the high 80’s to low 90’s, I expect some envy and jealousy from you….

  23. @ drjb:

Having some good ideas is almost worthless if you lack the leadership qualities and personal charisma to draws others to him personally. I don’t persoanlly like his libertarian ideas, nor his political tactics. Why is it that a zilch like Danon has more support in the Likud than Feiglin. Because Danon is a true Likudnik and everybody knows Feiglin isn’t, but an opportunist trying to wrest the leadership by using paid for supporters who seldom vote for the likud.

Without Lieberman the Likud would have 20 MK’s today one more than Lapid. That is not a national party and certainly not one who can dominate the political agenda.

If feiglin had joined up with Bennett he might have gotten of few more seats in the Knesset enough to challenge the Likud as to who is really the representative of the real political right. They might have even drawn some support from the Likud. I hate those who have failed and Feiglin has failed, but refuses to admit his failure and draw the necessary conclusions. He is a waste of time because he ain’t the guy we are looking for. He has not as I predicted effected a single policy of BB since he was elected to the Knesset. I think he is all ego driven and mostly irrelevant in Israeli politics.

Rome is about to be burned and Feiglin writes newsletters that few read. A leader leads and draws others to follow. After 15 years of trying at great expense what does he have to show for it ???? A seat in the Knesset, a Pension and Deputy speakership and a Newletter? When a true Jewish Leader arrives we will know it.

  24. @ yamit82:
    Hi Yamit,
I watched an interview in youtube with Feiglin in which he explains what he considered to be a terrible tactical mistake on the part of the governmet re Iran policy and which was to make Iran everybody’s problem and not Israel’s problem. Bibi convinced the world and now the world is saying WE will deal with Iran, not you. The problem is that the world has reached a deal with Iran that is not good for Israel. So what is Israel to do now?
Israel could have dealt with Iran’s program years ago. It would have been much easier. It chose not to.

I agree with your assessment of Bibi, but where is the support and exposure for ideas and opinions like Feiglin’s, who has been marginalized and ignored by everyone, including you, in spite of having good ideas all the time.

  25. @ bernard ross:

    I can believe this report.

Every-time Israel has attempted to challenge an American President we have lost big time with consequences excetpt against Gerry Ford.

End Running Obama through congrss can also backfire as Congress on foreign policy issues will usually support the sitting president no matter who he is. Americans will not view Israel positively if we are seen to be openly interfering in Americas business and we will lose with congress as well. I don’t see American Jewry going to the wall for us against Obama, partly that most don’t support Israel and partly out of fear of being seen as having dual loyalties and fear of anti-Semitic backlash.

I and some few others have been for many many years advising that Israel should get out from under the American vise around our necks, even if it means going it alone.
    http://vimeo.com/52352074
Israelis are scared stiff to even contemplate such an eventuality. Problem is if we do it first we will have time and some flexibility to compensate and find and develop alternatives. If America does the breaking which they will sooner or later it will come a a time less propitious for us. Always best to be in control as much as possible of our own destiny less costly and more options should be available.

  26. Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif stayed in the U.S. for an additional ten days following the U.N. General Assembly, along with 75 colleagues from President Rouhani’s entourage — businessmen, industrialists and representatives of the Iranian gas and oil sector, who met with representatives of American oil companies Chevron and Exxon. On the matter of Afghanistan, according to Le Figaro, the Americans requested that the Iranians help them with the U.S. troop withdrawal in 2014 by “helping to secure border areas in countries where Tehran has an influence.” Regarding Iraq, Washington and Tehran are interested in strengthening the present Iraqi regime and preventing the country’s breakdown.
