  1. @Sebastien
    Well stated Sebastien.

In addition to this, though, the evidence which she used to demonstrate that the Chinese were not complicit in a lab leak was actually supplied to her by the Chinese govt, as I noted earlier below.

Now, maybe the Chinese didn’t manufacture the evidence which they supplied to an employee at their lab, whose entire future could be at risk if it was shown that Collins and Fauci lied to protect the Chinese.

But I wouldn’t bet much on it.

  2. @Felix

She received her medical degree from Xiangya Medical College of Central South University in China.[2][when?] In 2014, she completed a PhD in ophthalmology from Southern Medical University in Guangzhou.[2][13][14] After this, she was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) until 2020.[6][15]

According to one of her peer-reviewed research papers, she was affiliated with the State Key Laboratory of Virology, Wuhan Institute of Virology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.[16] Before the COVID-19 pandemic, Yan had served as a co-author on articles about Aquareoviruses and universal influenza vaccines.[17]

    Wikipedia

And naturally, she was dismissed as an unscientific conspiracy theorist and “propagandist’ 😀 by the same corrupt and unscientific scientifc establishment that suppressed dissent under Fauci and Co. but so what?

Have you researched who you have been quoting?

“she was affiliated with the State Key Laboratory of Virology, Wuhan Institute of Virology,” !!!!!!

  3. The critical letter sent by Michael Worobey and other scientists

“The month before Stewart’s tirade, Science published a letter by me and several other scientists arguing that lab leak hypotheses must not be prematurely dismissed. The letter dramatically shifted the debate about where COVID came from; two weeks later, the Biden administration announced a 90-day intelligence community review of the pandemic’s origins.”

Note the very precise wording Peloni. Words are precious and precise things Peloni. Please do not tamper with same.

Thanks but all of this is circumstantial evidence which can be interpreted in many different ways,

It is no more circumstantial than the Fort Dietrich ‘lab leak’ evidence which you referenced in your earlier post, and I would suggest that it is likely far more relevant given that it took place IN WUHAN, where the outbreak began, and AT THE LAB from which the scientists reporting to Fauci concluded the outbreak originated, that is before they were incentivized to change their conclusions. Furthermore, circumstantial evidence is the basis upon which most convictions are actually based, so disregarding such evidence because it is circumstantial ignores the obvious relevance which can be drawn from it. In any event, just some thoughts.

Here are a few more details surrounding the Chinese September 2019 lockdown which I failed to note.

Thanks but all of this is circumstantial evidence which can be interpreted in many different ways, and I am too lazy to create a really detailed timeline which might be helpful but still won’t prove anything because we’ll never have enough info.

    Further

Your points raised many questions but lack of time means just the point on the Committee…Which you mention

This Committee is formed by the majority Republicans. It has to be ascertained that it proceeds fairly. Who is the chairman and what is his background? Is there an organisational group and who are they? Also their background?

Who do they call to testify? Is their questioning aimed at gaining knowledge or perhaps the opposite?

Many issues and great attention to it must be paid.

  7. Ted

I sympathize. I too cannot follow everything that’s important.

You will get a lot of information from this

I extract just two paragraphs but give the URL to hit

We found that the earliest known COVID cases lived much closer to and more centered around the Huanan market than could be explained by chance. Crucially, this was true even of patients who reported that they hadn’t worked at the market, shopped there or knowingly been in contact with anyone who did.

A more scattered distribution of early cases throughout the city would have suggested that the virus was already widespread in December. But the pattern clearly showed that it was only then beginning to bleed into the community surrounding the market and didn’t spread more widely across the city until later.

Here are a few more details surrounding the Chinese September 2019 lockdown which I failed to note.

“In Sept. 2019, three things happened in that lab. One is they deleted the sequences. Highly irregular, researchers don’t like to do that. The second thing is they changed the command and control from civilian to military. Highly unusual. The third, which is very telling, is they let a contractor redo the ventilation system in that laboratory. Clearly, there was strong evidence that a significant event happened in that laboratory in September.”

From Redfield’s testimony yesterday. I had read about these previously, but seem to have overlooked them in my earlier post to you, so I thought you might be interested.

  9. From Dr. Malone:
    Dr. Redfield’s Bombshell Testimony

While crickets chirped, the bus just ran over Fauci

This is an important read. It is short, by Malone’s standards, but if you don’t have time to read all of it, please read this extract from Redfield’s testimony:

From the earliest days of the pandemic, my view was that both theories about the origin of COVID-19 needed to be aggressively and thoroughly examined. Based on my initial analysis of the data, I came to believe—and still believe today—that it indicates COVID-19 infections more likely were the result of an accidental lab leak than the result of a natural spillover event. This conclusion is based primarily on the biology of the virus itself, including its rapid high infectivity for human to human transmission which would then predict rapid evolution of new variants, as well as a number of other important factors to include the unusual actions in and around Wuhan in the fall of 2019, all of which I am happy to discuss today.

Even given the information that has surfaced in the three years since the COVID-19 pandemic began, some have contended that there is no point in investigating the origins of this virus. I strongly disagree. There is a global need to know what we are dealing with in the COVID-19 virus because it affects how we approach the problem to try and prevent the next pandemic.

Understanding the origins of COVID-19 is critical for the future of scientific research, particularly as it affects the ongoing ethical debate around the conduct of gain-of-function research. Gain-of-function has long been controversial within the scientific community, and, in my opinion, the COVID-19 pandemic presents a case study on the potential dangers of such research. While many believe that gain-offunction research is critical to get ahead of viruses by developing vaccines, in this case, I believe it had the exact opposite result, unleashing a new virus on the world without any means of stopping it and resulting in the deaths of millions of people. Because of this, it is my opinion that we should call for a moratorium on all gain-offunction research until we can have a broader debate and come to a consensus as a community about the value of gain-of-function research. This debate should not be limited to the scientific community. If the decision is to continue gain-of-function research then it must be determined how and where to conduct this research in a safe, responsible and effective way.

    Emphasis from Malone.

  10. @Felix
I haven’t been following this thread. Your comment drew my attention to the fact that you have provided alternate testimony on the origins. That’s what you should do.
Whether Peloni chooses to ignore your links is up to him.
From my point of view, I am partial to questioning the official narrative which is what Peloni does.
Congress is now investigating the origins. I am content to wait for their conclusions. Aren’t you?

  11. Ted

You may say so it’s your right to opinion.

“You’ve lost it. Stop the ad hominem attacks.”

You are wrong. No this is a valid evaluation of situation here.

Peloni introduced extreme version of conspiracy thought on viruses two years ago and it controls all of Israpundit now.

Peloni the extreme virus conspiracy operator has taken over. There’s total uniformity on Israpundit behind his extreme conspiracy line.

In this discussion situation I put forward article by Angela Rasmussen
    on March 3. Crickets.

Patiently enough I followed up with a second on March 5. Crickets once more.

I being a stubborn wee northerner would not give up.

And then March 8 not really a reply from Peloni but insult to Rasmussen.

And from Israpundit nothing except snarky attacks on me while not one mentioned the articles in which Rasmussen figured.

    Issues absolutely key.

And Rasmussen is a key person in science at University of Saskatchewan.

You are on dangerous ground here.

  12. To all supporting Jordan and Zerohedge on the Israpundit site

You are all heading to hell in a basket and in the process destroying Israpundit because you are supporting these Trump Fascists like Jordan whose CLEAR AIM IN ALL OF THIS is thermonuclear war with China.

That’s your real actual position Peloni ain’t it?!

  13. Everyone Should watch this poignant 3min video:
Rep. Jim_Jordan: There Are 9 Million Reasons Why Two Top Scientists Changed Their Stance on Lab Leak Theory

“So three days after they say it came from a lab, they changed their position, and the only intervening event was a conference call with Dr. Fauci and Dr. Collins. Again, a call that Mr. Redfield (CDC Director at the time) was not allowed to be on … And then three months later, Shazam! They get 9 million bucks from Dr. Fauci. Why, isn’t that something?”

Now repeat after me 9 million times:

    UNDECLARED CONFLICT OF INTEREST

I think this make the point quite well.

  14. Felix
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MYJtB8aZgI
First you damn me and then you send @mirib to hell…of course you did spell Hell correctly, but such naughty words from such a prince of knowledge, it is unbecoming and it is, well, quite naughty of you to do.

On a more serious note, if you have any understanding of how medical research is conducted, you would know, or you do know, that conflicts of interest are not something which anyone should ignore lightly as you are doing. This is why every research study has a conflict of interest section stating the conflicts of interest with which each of the researchers might have while conducting the studies being researched. This is, as I am sure you know, so that those who are reading the results of the research can understand the pressures or influences which might inadvertently or advertently have influence the research being described by any and all members of the research team. In fact, conflicts of interest are not a small matter, and they are never something which you should willfully ignore. Rather, it should be weighed as part of the value of the research being described and the reader should consider the research results with the conflicts in mind, such as they are. This is why there are whole companies who are hired to conduct research who are specifically unaffiliated with the company whose product is being researched, for instance.

But it seems you attend a different school of thought, where vaccine researchers could do no harm or can not be influenced by their future careers. Well, as I said before, if you find so little value in my thoughts on these matters, it boggles the mind, or my mind at least, as to why you would continue to probe me on these matters.

  15. Felix,
The shots forced on people worldwide were not vaccines. Stop calling them that. A vaccine makes you “IMMUNE”. None of the phony shots did that. A vaccine is
derived from an infectious disease-causing pathogen i.e from the virus itself. None of the shots did. Period. End of story.

  16. Peloni

Do not even try to fool me or.good people as you do

You have attacked Angela most foully because you say she is influenced in a foul way.

Angela is a most important scientist true and devoted to science

You thereby also attack THE UNIVERSITY OF SASKATCHEWAN

You under cover of Israpundit attack her most foully

  17. Mirib

And you are what precisely? What is Mirib? Who are you?

Your politics as you express here rotting most foul.

@Felix Quigly. Only a blind, mentally ill moron can ignore the proofs of the last 2 years of the kill shot. You obviously have not passed/ survived the greatest IQ/psyop test of all time.

You call the vaccines which saved my life and millions even potential of billions you call KILL SHOT.

SO TO HELL WITH YOUR ROTTING POLITICS

  18. Everything you write here on vaccines are the words of a science denier

My qualifications are … superior to yours because you are a rank and poisonous conspiracy theorist.

Now stop your personal attacks on Angela Rasmussen and deal with her research

So my input is valueless, and less valuable than yours, but you still want my opinion on Rasmussen’s report? You are a silly man it seems. Find someone whose words you value and ask them.

I have given you what time I have to invest in this silliness of searching for support of something seen to be well debunked already. If you missed my comments on her report which I posted earlier, here they are :

    https://www.israpundit.org/must-watch-tucker-on-the-covid-chinese-lab-leak/#comment-63356000259900

In this, I have not attacked Rasmussen, and I purposely have avoided doing so as personal attacks only improve the statements of those who are being besieged, something which should be considered when one might be encouraged to disparage others in the future. That being stated, though, to suggest someone is incentivized towards a given conclusion is not a personal attack, it is simply part of valuing what conclusions they have drawn – but since you are so much more qualified than me, as you suggest, you are no doubt already aware of this fact – and it is a fact, not an opinion.

The lab leak is well debunked by the conspiracy carried out by Fauci and the very scientists which championed it in the early months of the outbreak to hide China’s role in having leaked the virus from the lab. Of course, if you still find value in this well disparaged, dare I say, conspiracy theory, well, one of us is wasting the other’s time by discussing such nonsense further than we have already done.

As I noted in my previous post,

you will or you will not find some interest in something I have written here, but your evidence is not just challenged, it is completely useless. If you disagree, well, see Jon Stewart for my response, as I have no time for these petty squabbles.

  19. @Felix Quigly. Only a blind, mentally ill moron can ignore the proofs of the last 2 years of the kill shot. You obviously have not passed/ survived the greatest IQ/psyop test of all time.

  20. Peloni

Everything you write here on vaccines are the words of a science denier because these vaccines are the product of the highest level of science and proved to be outstanding successful.

My qualifications are the same qualifications as anyone here.

And superior to yours because you are a rank and poisonous conspiracy theorist.

    And what qualifications have YOU?

BUT WHAT TRUMPS.ALL IS YOUR OBVIOUS CONSPIRACY strong leanings not at all removed from Alex Jones

And do not use this victim thing. You are the most insulting person I have ever met – of course behind a phony superior jargon

Now stop your personal attacks on Angela Rasmussen and deal with her research which I first advanced here on March 3 a very long time ago.

  21. @Reader

The above doesn’t contradict the hypothesis that both China and the US worked together on the virus.

It certainly does not, but the US shipped the scientists over to Wuhan (Baric), sent the funding to Wuhan (via Dasek) and did so surreptitiously to continue the gain of function research which was now (2014) banned in the US. In other words, if the US was continuing the research in the US, in the labs of Fort Dietrich no less, why would they have shared their research, their scientists and their funding with China?

Still, could they have had a parallel research going on in the US? Yes, but to do so in the labs at USAMRIID would be a fairly open secret as it would be subject to both congressional and inspector general oversight. Also, recall that the political fallout of the military being directly involved in the GOF research was the very reason why, in the months following the US unequivocally cancelling the Bioweapon Treaty in 2001, that they handed all such research over to Fauci to handle for them. Whereas it might be possible that Fauci had an off-book GOF research project ongoing in the US past the GOF moratorium, he wouldn’t have conducted that research at USAMRIID as its not his turf. Nor would the US military want to be implicated in such an open breach with the US political establishment, much less to be caught by the international community conducting bioweapon research, which would have not had the protective shield of deniability which had been afforded to them with the civilian controlled GOF research in a civilian lab.

Furthermore, it should also be noted that the reason why the GOF moratorium was invoked was due to the outrage by the scientific community, meaning that the research would have to be conducted somewhere very remote where mandatory paperwork and oversight would not be an issue, which again would vote against using Fort Dietrich.

They outsourced the research to Wuhan, and likely elsewhere too, for a reason, and that reason was to avoid being caught doing in the US what they were doing in China.

The more you think about the Fort Dietrich scenario, the less realistically viable it becomes, to be honest. Somewhere else in the US, at a research lab in Virginia or Washington or elsewhere (lots to choose from), yes, but it would be very risky given the outrage by the US scientific community which brought about the moratorium in the first place. It would be possible though. But not at Fort Dietrich, or so I would argue.

  22. @peloni

which were infected from something which came from the Dietrich labs, for which no one has even a scintilla of evidence in support.

    https://ordonews.com/fort-detrick-lab-us-shut-down-a-secret-laboratory-after-cases-of-pneumonia-of-unknown-origin/

    https://www.cdc.gov/tobacco/basic_information/e-cigarettes/severe-lung-disease.html

Emergency department (ED) visits related to e-cigarette, or vaping, products continue to decline, after sharply increasing in August 2019 and peaking in September.

The above doesn’t contradict the hypothesis that both China and the US worked together on the virus.

The stuff that you allege I failed to list – I knew nothing about it.

  23. @Reader
This all starts well before 2020 when Fauci and his fellow scientists tried to provide cover for the obvious conclusion of a Chinese lab leak. But when you start reading the tea leaves going backwards, the mystery becomes even more curious, even as it also becomes less certain. Let us look at a timeline to help explore the issues you raise more easily:

–May 2019 China bought massive amounts of PCR tests and continued to do so thru the summer.
–Aug 2019 USAMRID was shut down due to failed safety inspection. Around this same time an outbreak of pneumonia at a couple of local nursing home was observed.
–September 12, 2019, the virus database at the Wuhan Institute of Virology was taken offline, and with it 22,000 coronavirus samples were gone just as the Wuhan airport was locked down for several days. Within a week or two, there was a blackout period at the WIV with no signs of mobile phone activity, and security was massively ramped up at the site.
–October 2019 Military World Games in Wuhan where several US servicemen developed a strange illness.

Now it does seem that in all of the sources you documented, you failed to raise the subject of either the 2019 fall outbreak which took place in Wuhan or the massive purchases of PCR test kits starting back in Spring 2019. Of course, the PCR tests can be used to detect many things, but it is certainly used with limited accuracy to detect Covid. The possibility of this being relevant has even greater weight when we realize that the uptick in Chinese PCR tests came from Wuhan, specifically:

the report alleges the unusual uptick likely signals awareness of a new disease spreading in and around Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province.

Monthly procurement data shows a spike in orders in May, especially from CDC buyers and the People’s Liberation Army.

…Purchases rose sharply from July through October as well, in particular from the Wuhan University of Science and Technology. The institution spent 8.92 million yuan on PCR tests in 2019, about eight times its total for the previous year.

So, there are many things which might be suggested as being relevant. Somethings, however, are well documented and others are not. I would suggest that the possible leak at Fort Dietrich would not be among the more likely causes of an outbreak in Wuhan, even if there were a couple of nursing homes which were infected from something which came from the Dietrich labs, for which no one has even a scintilla of evidence in support. It isn’t impossible of course, but it does seem remotely likely to be connected, at least by chance.

Regarding the possibility that it was accidentally released at Fort Dietrich it seems pretty dodgy thinking to leap to conclusions that the accidental release in the US only infected a couple of nursing homes in the US but seeded it well enough in Wuhan during the Military games to make it endemic.

Recall further that the Military games took place in October, but the Wuhan labs were under lock down and the Wuhan airport was closed some 7 weeks earlier. So if the US, by accident or intention, exposed China to some bioattack in October, we would have to conclude a second unrelated exposure one month earlier…which does seem a bit contrived.

Regardless of any of this, however, when China shut down air travel within China in early 2020, they kept their international flights open, leaving the international destinations as the only potential vacation destinations from which the Chinese could choose to travel amid their New Year celebrations. For this alone the Chinese complicity should be seen as being well beyond dispute.

To further the Chinese the ability to do so, their allies in the US, titled as scientists, provided a well needed smokescreen with their denialism of the lab leak which still seems to delude many people, despite the fact that many of these same scientists never believed their own statements which were simply a ruse advocated to suit the needs of the China’s needs.

  24. @Reader
I wrote a response yesterday to your research. It seems I never hit post comment as it is still here in a second tab.

  25. @Felix

I am not sure why you keep challenging me while also verbally abusing me and expecting me to respond. I find your insults petty and silly and your evidence, well, terribly weak. This is why I have, to my own descretion, chosen to ignore your challenges and abuses. I am, against my own best guidance responding to this latest abusive retort to assure you that I have in fact read the two articles by Rasmussen. You have previously stated that you have no background in science, correct me if this is false, so you are likely unaware of the circular defense which you are offering in these articles.

The shorter article is a layman’s summary of the other, so let us ignore the lesser of these two scientific articles and focus upon the article in which Rasmussen is but one of 18 authors. The study is written to reassure the public that the virus was not man made, but was in fact the creation of a myriad of events at or related to the Wuhan market. This study is intended to confirm the assertions taken by Fauci and Collins, the heads of the NIAID and NIH, back in early 2020, and this is in fact the conclusion which the study found.

What you fail to notice or to share is that Rasmussen is, herself a member of the vaccine industry, working for VIDO-InterVac (look it up if you care to) thus incentivizing her to provide the correct conclusion in this paper. If this is not enough for you to understand the level of self dealing defense which you are offering here, let us also recognize the fact that the paper with 18 authors was in fact financed under no less than 14 grants coming from the NIH and NIAID, which again were controlled by Collins and Fauci, and if Rassmusen’s conclusions did not lead to the Wuhan market, it would have impeached the very authorities which controlled both the funding for this current study as well as the funding for any study to which she might be attached to in the future.

To complicate the circular level of independence of this study, the research data which is being used to implicate the Wuhan market is coming from the Chinese twitter equivalent which is also involved in the state social credit program. Now, if you believe that the data provided by China should be trusted to prove that they did not produce the virus which has killed millions of people around the world, you will probably also find it easy to believe that Collins and Fauci should be trusted to pay for a study to prove that they were not complicit in doing what we know they did do(see the articles I shared below).

I find this to be a very silly debate, to be honest. I don’t know that China did this to themselves and then purposefully sent it around the world, or that someone else did it to China and then China purposefully sent it around the world. It is an unknowable possibility that either China was just being China and ineptly released another virus, again, or that someone, knowing China’s record of such things and took advantage of the plausibility of such a thing, intentionally released it. The initial release was almost certainly months before December and most likely related to the PCR test purchases, some 9 months earlier. But it is a guessing game as we lack credible sources to determine this thing one way or the other with even a scintilla of certainty on these points.

What we do know for certain is that China purposefully spread SARS-Cov2 around the world, and I still do not hear any debate on this tangibly certain fact from you. Instead you want to discuss a wet market in Wuhan, which Jon Stewart explains the truth of that scenario.

In any event, you will or you will not find some interest in something I have written here, but your evidence is not just challenged, it is completely useless. If you disagree, well, see Jon Stewart for my response, as I have no time for these petty squabbles.

  26. Crooks and foola!

We have evidence but you will not even look at the evidence that it started in the Wuhan wet market.

If you refuse to DEAL with the evidence I researched and gave you

    Then damm you.

  27. @Felix

Peloni explain why Fauci or Chinese would create a virus?

    Why indeed.

Its gain of function research, which is double talk for developing a bio weapon. Of course there are multiple examples of dual use function research which is done by the military which has civilian applications, but the bioweapon research, whether it is done in Virginia, Wuhan or Odessa, has but one application, and it has never been useful to any civilian anywhere. Of course, you will hear Fauci explain how important this research is in order to predict and protect the public from some fanciful variant not yet discovered, but gain of function research, in all the years in which this foul trade has been explored, has never resulted in a single cure to a single disease to date. It has, of course created many powerful techniques which have been used to develop the Frankenstein virus called Sars-Cov2, but the only civilian application which this dual use research has had is, over the past 3yrs, to put civilians around the world into an early grave, while medical bureaucrats withheld treatment which was demonstrably curative for the overwhelming number of people who received it in a timely fashion.

So you ask why Fauci and China might make such a foul bug as Sars-Cov2, but I can only respond by stating again, why indeed.

I have another question to pose to you. Why did the US refuse to sign the Bioweapon treaty which would only have enforced the agreements going back to 1971 when the nations of the world agreed to not pursue bio weapon research. Since the 1971 agreement lacked any process of cross checks between the parties, it was completely ignored by all. With the fall of the Soviet Union, there were many opportunities to change many things, and unfortunately, due to the unilateral US refusal to sign this treaty, everyone continues to do the research, even as they mask it using terms such as gain of function research.

How ironic is it that a bioweapon attack took place in the US capital and targeted two sitting US Senators only 7weeks after the US walked away from the Bioweapon treaty – recall that this was when the dispersement of a US developed strain of Anthrax was employed as the pretext to invade Iraq. Of course the two congressmen who were targeted by the weaponized US generated anthrax were also blocking the civil rights disparaging Patriot Act, and of course they dropped their opposition after receiving the Anthrax letters – almost as if they somehow came to know that their own govt was threatening them to do so. Ironic, don’t you think?

What was the result of this false flag attack in Washington? Well the military wanted to continue their bioweapon research, but not to have it conducted under the control of the Pentagon. So, instead, they chose to have a civilian organization head up the research and claim it was for civilian purposes. Fauci, who was the head of the NIAID in 2001 as he was in 2020, had his salary quadrupled as he became responsible for the US bioweapons industry masked as being research to develop vaccines for diseases which had not yet been created. To do this, of course, he would have to pay for the research to first create the diseases so they can find vaccines to protect from them. This is, in fact, exactly what dual-use/gain-of-function research is.

So I will say it only one time more, why indeed.

  28. Peloni explain why Fauci or Chinese would create a virus?

Dr. Anthony Fauci – who offshored

banned gain-of-function research to make bat coronaviruses more transmissible to humans – has been accused by Congressional investigators of having ‘prompted’ the fabrication of a paper by a cadre of scientists aimed at disproving the Covid-19 lab-leak theory.

The 2019 Military World Games were hosted in Wuhan in October.[108][109]

In December 2019, SARS-CoV-2, a novel coronavirus that caused the COVID-19 pandemic, was first discovered in Wuhan,[32][33] and the city was the location of the first lockdown of the pandemic in January 2020.[34] Wuhan and other Hubei cities were placed under lockdown for nearly three months to contain the disease.[34][110]

    COVID-19 conspiracy theories

During the COVID-19 pandemic, conspiracy theories emerged in China that the SARS-CoV-2 virus originated in the United States and was brought to China by an American participant in the Military World Games. One version of the conspiracy theory states that the virus was created by the CIA.[27][28] A Chinese government official supported and helped spread one of the conspiracy theories.[29] Athletes Élodie Clouvel and Matteo Tagliariol each stated they developed a severe illness around the time they attended the games, but there is no evidence that they transmitted these illnesses – neither at the games nor upon returning to their units.[30] A U.S. Army athlete who attended the games was accused of being “patient zero” of the novel coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan, and was harassed on social media, despite never having symptoms or testing positive.[31] A coronavirus public health exercise in the United States called Event 201 was held at the same time as the games, and this is sometimes cited by conspiracy theorists as further evidence of misconduct.[32]

  31. @Felix
    Actually, here are the facts:
Fauci ‘Prompted’ Scientists To Fabricate ‘Proximal Origins’ Paper Ruling Out Lab-Leak: House GOP

Dr. Anthony Fauci – who offshored banned gain-of-function research to make bat coronaviruses more transmissible to humans – has been accused by Congressional investigators of having ‘prompted’ the fabrication of a paper by a cadre of scientists aimed at disproving the Covid-19 lab-leak theory.

On February 1, 2020, Fauci and his boss, NIH Director Dr. Francis Collins, and at least eleven other scientists participated in a conference call during which several of them warned that COVID-19 may have leaked from a lab in Wuhan, China – may have been intentionally genetically manipulated.

Three days after the call, four participants from the call (Scripps Research virologist Kristian Andersen, University of Sydney virologist Edward Holmes, Tulane School of Medicine virologist Robert Garry, University of Edinburgh virologist Andrew Rambaut and Columbia University virologist Ian Lipkin) seemingly discarded their concerns over a lab-leak, and drafted “The Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2,” which they sent to Fauci and Collins.

Also heavily involved (yet not credited) was Dr. Jeremy Farrar, the current Chief Scientist at the World Health Organization.

As a related aside – the Washington Examiner revealed last week that two authors of “Proximal Origin” who initially expressed concerns over a lab-leak and then changed their tune (Anderson and Garry), received millions in NIH grants under Fauci.

    Now, according to the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, Fauci ‘prompted’ the creation of the paper;

“New evidence released by the Select Subcommittee today suggests that Dr. Fauci “prompted” the drafting of a publication that would “disprove” the lab leak theory, the authors of this paper skewed available evidence to achieve that goal, and Dr. Jeremy Farrar went uncredited despite significant involvement.”

So, for those following the bouncing ball…

The US was doing risky gain-of-function research on US soil until 2014, when the Obama administration banned it. Four months before the ban, Dr. Fauci offshored it to Wuhan, China through New York nonprofit, EcoHealth Alliance.

After Sars-CoV-2 broke out down the street from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, Fauci engaged in a massive campaign to deny the possibility of a lab-leak from the lab he funded, and instead pin the blame on a yet-to-be discovered zoonotic intermediary species.

And if you’d like to dig even deeper, this is perhaps the best, most comprehensive summary of the “proximal origin” timeline.

  32. @Felix

““Everything in the State, nothing outside the State, nothing against the State.” Benito Mussolini’s formulation remains one of the most enduring definitions of modern totalitarianism.”

That description fits Communist China to a tee. Trump was anything but a statist. Quite the reverse!

  33. Honeybee.

    Yes Fascistic leading there

On greatest issue global warming and out of that his lies about virus and China

  34. Peloni

Trump is just doing what Trump does – pursuing Fascistic politics which disregards science so that he can pursue same Fascistic politics, in this case lies against China, and to use racism to store up hatred against the Chinese people.

Peloni and Ted Belman I’ve already drawn your attention to the Saskatchewan virologist Angela Rasmussen.

Here’s another article, this time with Michael Barobey, laying out again the facts of how this awful disease came about.

  35. DONALD J TRUMP Op-Ed: The world has finally woken to the truth about the Wuhan virus. Now it’s time to hold China to account

When I first suggested in early 2020 that the virus may have come from a lab, it was called ‘racist,’ a ‘conspiracy theory,’ and a claim for which ‘there is no evidence’.

The entire globalist establishment—from the World Health Organization, to the media, to Anthony Fauci and the public health authorities, to the corrupt Silicon Valley tech giants, to Joe Biden—worked relentlessly to silence, censor, and shut down any suggestion that the so-called ‘lab leak theory’ could be true.

Scientists who called for transparency and investigation were attacked.

Facebook and Twitter labeled posts related to the theory as ‘disinformation.’

The media mercilessly ridiculed the idea.

When Joe Biden came into office, he shut down the investigation my administration had launched into the true origins of the China Virus.

We all know the real reason for these censorship campaigns. The ‘lab leak’ did not serve their political agendas. So they did the Chinese Communist Party’s dirty work, and effectively imposed China’s propaganda on the Western world.

There must now be a reckoning….

Not only did Joe Biden re-enter the WHO without getting any meaningful reforms, but he did so at full price, restoring the hundreds of millions of dollars American taxpayers send each year to an organization that badly misled the world in the service of Communist China.

Now, Joe Biden is negotiating to sign a treaty giving the WHO sweeping powers any time foreign bureaucrats decide to declare a pandemic.

In the event of a real emergency, the treaty would have us ship up to 20% of our medical supplies and medications to the WHO for distribution to other countries.

This outrageous globalist scheme would put America and other signatories on the path to surrendering our sovereignty to the whims of foreign public health bureaucrats—the same people who got COVID-19 completely and totally wrong.

The draft treaty also pushes censorship of disapproved speech about matters of public health—just like they censored the facts about the Wuhan Lab.

This is insanity. America and other free nations should have no part in it.

When I take the oath of office as the 47th president of the United States, I will once again withdraw the United States from the WHO, to protect our health, and to defend our freedom and independence.

Finally, now that the evidence of Chinese culpability is clear to all, we must hold China financially responsible for unleashing this plague upon the world.

Joe Biden will not do this. Biden is unbelievably weak on China—perhaps because his family has received millions of dollars from entities linked to the Chinese Communist Party.

Yet the need for accountability remains. China’s deceptions and lies in the critical early phrase of the outbreak are well documented.

For example, they long insisted to the world that the virus could not spread from human to human.

They bought up vast quantities of PPE from all over the planet, while lying to other countries about the characteristics of the virus and the severity of the outbreak.

Their lies and deception killed any opportunity to stop this deadly global catastrophe at the start.

Add to that the probability that the virus emerged from a Chinese government lab, and may even have been engineered by Chinese government scientists, and it is clear that the nations of the world are not just owed a massive apology; they are owed massive damages.

To collect this compensation, nothing should be off the table—tariffs, taxes, and a global summit on reparations.

The World must ensure that such a tragedy never happens again!

  36. This issue is terribly time consuming but it is an essential one.

We have to guard against science being attacked

On my Twitter is a woman from University of Saskatchewan which used to be in Saskatoon

    Her name Angela Rasmussen

The important point here is that she and colleague seems to have put this issue to bed

    Ted follow this

    https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/science.abp8715

  37. Ted very consciosly opening the door to the pseudonym Peloni, and he is in full flight but with no evidence at all. It is a rant out of the very dangerous enemies of science in the extreme right wing of American politics. Remember though also the American Democratic Party are noway left socialist, not in the slightest, but blood drenched Imperialists.

competitor competing. Shows the support for Russia is fraudulent because this attack on China is the same as the sanctions on Putin
    Useful to know!

Then it is on to the “Wuflu” and a virus from a Chinese Lab, while the VAST MAJORITY of virologists know it is NOT. People like Trump and Peloni have no qualifications to say one or the other. Why then should we trust their views on anything at all, including Jewish matters enters my mind and I hope yours.

  38. There’s extensive reporting of this on BBC. I listened attentively and tucked in was a sentence was that the intelligence services has low confidence in this lab leak theory. Although their propaganda against China was intense. Smells of.McCarthy.

  39. I think Jon Stewart makes the point quite well:
Jon Stewart Smacks Reality Into Wuhan Lab Leak Theory

Even as we still sit back and pretend we don’t know what we see as being obvious, it only serves to demonstrates the level of control which China has among the centers of power in the US. The press, the politicians, the industrialists, and nearly all of the billionaires, check their respective Chinese Red Phones before printing an article, taking a position, or making an investment. Trump’s proposal to completely divest China from the US economy will have its effect in ripping this standing relationship apart. And then we will be able to read news which is more than Chinese propaganda, vote for candidates who are more than Chinese automatons, or to work for a major company which has an interest in seeing the American economy emerge as dominant in the future, rather than China. We will even be able to hear the US govt clearly admit that the WuFlu came from the Chinese lab and that the Chinese govt was primarily responsible for spreading this bioweapon around the world – none of which the captured elites in the US are able to actually do today.
