Climate change is a hallmark cause for President Barack Obama., evidenced by his relentless drive to convince the world that global warming is a bigger threat than ISIS. The question is why? The answer is in plain sight. One need only apply the old journalistic axiom: “Follow the money.”
Why did former Vice-President Al Gore repeatedly declare that he was going to become “the first global warming billionaire” — did that not pique any journalist’s curiosity as to what was behind the curtain? After losing his bid for the presidency, becoming the first global warming billionaire was Gore’s road not only to extraordinary wealth, but a guarantee of his return to global influence.
Set up to unfold was a “golden parachute” scheme that would line the pockets of a cadre of elitists and global-warming advocates long after they were displaced from their seats of power. This scheme used deceptive means to a profitable end.
Few realize that the “green movement” is about building large personal fortunes for an elite few. President Barack Obama laid out his threat to bypass Congress and ignore the American people during his 2013 State of the Union address by exerting his authority under Executive Orders:
“I will direct my Cabinet to come up with executive actions we can take, now and in the future, to reduce pollution, prepare our communities for the consequences of climate change and speed the transition to more sustainable sources of energy.”
Obama’s green energy plan put the coal industry on life-support, targeted oil and gas as the enemy and sought to impose restrictions on power plants that generate electricity to homes and businesses. What the president reportedly hides behind the curtain is his alliances with international green elites, a select group of political and Wall Street cronies, and energy regulatory czars who have orchestrated a CO2 carbon-taxing scheme that would put billions of dollars into their own pockets. A regulatory structure is being assembled through federal agencies such as the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Long in the designing, the elements were close to being in full play. The plans were drawn, the carbon-credit trading exchange, registered as the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX), was established and set to transfer cash. A privately-owned Chicago bank was ready as a depository and for routing money transfers.
The June 16, 2009 Bloomberg article, “Sandor Got Obama’s Nod for Chicago-Style Climate Law” by Jim Efstathiou Jr., reported that a carbon-capping bill set to be imposed on American businesses was the cornerstone of Obama’s environmental agenda. Bloomberg quotes CCX founder Richard Sandor as saying that the bill began “…way, way to the left with provisions to push U.S. utilities into bankruptcy.” The article further reads: “Sandor launched the Chicago Climate Exchange, or CCX, in 2003 after getting two research grants from the Chicago-based Joyce Foundation. Obama was on the foundation that gave us the grant, Sandor said. We know him well.” CCX reportedly is now under the auspices of Environmental Financial Products which lists its Chairman and CEO as Richard Sandor.
With CCX officials lamenting the sidelining of a carbon-credit trading exchange (similarly structured to the stock exchange with transaction fees), Nathaniel Gronewold of ClimateWire published the following on January 3, 2011:
“Meanwhile, CCX’s sister institutions, the European Climate Exchange and the Chicago Climate Futures Exchange, will continue as long as there is corporate and state government interest in fighting climate change, even with the failure of cap and trade in the U.S. Congress, CCX officials insist.”
During the recent 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris, Mr. Obama made another high-stakes play to push through his green agenda despite the high cost to even the poorest of Americans. A list of powerful global titans from politics to banking to Wall Street remain on the ready to engage in a revived carbon-emissions trading program. They do so despite the evidence that weighs against any such necessity.
A new report by Dr. Indur Goklany, an international authority on climate change, was published by the Global Warming Policy Foundation. Dr, Goklany states:
“The academies claim that fossil-fuel use has reduced the world’s sustainability and resilience. But despite record human numbers and carbon-dioxide emissions, human wellbeing has never been higher, by virtually any measure whether climate-sensitive or not. The average person has never lived longer or been healthier or wealthier. Living standards are at their highest ever; poverty, hunger, malnutrition, and mortality from vector-borne diseases and extreme events are at record lows. There is no indication that these trends are being reversed.”
Publicized reversals by such global-warming heavyweights as the United Nation’s Dr. Rajendra Pachauri, head of the U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and NASA’s James Hansen now state that global temperatures have not substantially risen for nearly two decades. Yet, Obama gears up to invest billions of America’s tax dollars in the green abyss, even while other countries across the globe are backing away. European nations have already experienced a severe hit to their economies and negative blowback from their citizens.
Scientific facts that Mr. Obama and his assemblage of global elitists prefer that you not know come from Edmund Contoski, an environmental consultant for more than 40 countries. In Liberty Unbound, Contoski writes: “The overwhelming majority (97%) of carbon dioxide in the Earth’s atmosphere comes from nature, not from man.” Based on scientific data, “Not only are worms contributing to the CO2 in the atmosphere,” Contoski further notes that, “volcanoes, swamps, rice paddies, fallen leaves, and even insects and bacteria alone emit ten times more carbon dioxide than all the factories and automobiles in the world. Even natural wetlands emit more greenhouse gases than all human activities combined.” Nature itself foils the environmentalists as The U.S. Department of Energy admits that once emitted that 98% of all the carbon dioxide emissions are again absorbed by nature. Contosky then queries, “Termites emit ten time more CO2 than humans, should we cap-and-tax them?”
The media neglect the real reason Barack Obama wants your hard-earned dollars to flow into a global green machine. Barack Obama continues to push, at the expense of America and beyond all logic and recent scientific data, for a long-term and massive financial commitment to global warming.
You control the world’s energy distribution, you control the world. Now, if only they can get the little people to “believe” that global warming is a bigger threat than ISIS, the global elites of the future will have the ultimate golden parachute.
CCX now comes up as Page Not Found. The Chicago Climate Exchange reportedly changed names. While ultimately drowning the carbon-trading scheme and not shorelines, nature turned on the CCX planners when the Himalayas did not melt, the polar bear population grew, and carbon dioxide output revived and increased farming yields that today feed millions more people across the globe as a result.

I found a link between Climate Change and the San Bernadino shooting.
The shooter Syed Farook was a environmental health inspector. His attack was workplace violence due to US’s Carbon Footprint.

Syed Farook, an American citizen, was an environmental health specialist with the San Bernardino County health department.
Apparently Syed Farook was a disgruntled environmental health specialist because we have been until now not reducing our Carbon Footprint.
My cousin Beatrice and husband own land in the Patagonia.
I traveled and lived for some time in that vast land.
They also own two fishing trawlers one of which they operate in person.
During my military service in Argentina some half a century ago, our Division, usually posted at the Andes border with Chile in South Eastern Patagonia, (Second Division, High Mountaineers), was invited to visit Chile for ceremonial reasons.
Argentinean Navy Cruiser 9th of July, (sank during the Islas Malvinas War), took us from Bahia Blanca via the Southern Passage between Atlantic and Pacific Oceans to Chile.
I have a vast collection of photos of the fantastic voyage.
After Beatrice bought the Land mentioned above, we again sailed with them to the passage. That was some ten years later. Our by then trained eyes, saw no changes on the ice expanses.
My far younger brothers joined the trawlers expeditions six years ago and reported a minor shrinkage on the ice expanse.
Last year they could not safely sail by that as the Ice reached maximum expanse.
Apparently NASA confirms that.
@ lsatenstein:The issue is not whether bad things are happening but whether the measures being advocated will make a difference. The skeptics say no they won’t and that the burden of proof is on the proponents.
Secondly air pollution and water pollution are problems that must be dealt with. Skeptics don’t say other wise.
Finally check your facts. According to NASA antarctic ice is not receding. Temperatures have not risen for two years. Polar bears are thriving g and so on.

In general, species and or local populations that do not adapt, the list is ample, die. For mentally diminished or peddlers of rehashed catastrophism, doing so for personal gain and through humanity’s reserves rip off purposes, I suggest to them and the idiots building in flood areas, isolated micro islands, deserts and other such choice abodes, to face the natural flow of changes in the Planet or…
The gruesome attempt to build mathematical abortions and statistical concoctions will eventually cause a true counter action. So far the maniacs of climate change, AKA other other labels, have only caused mirth and bother.
I observed colonies of seals, penguins and other species living happily just South of the Peninsula Valdez, in fact nesting there by the millions in areas of hot Patagonian desert near the ocean. Doing fine.
We also have records of the cycles of Ice Ages affecting the Planet at large not far back. Those ices melted and waters rose. Ice does that quite well, does it?
The species that prospered then, woolly elephants and rhinos, cave bears and others disappeared, including Neanderthal as such. They did no adapt fast enough.
The Planet’s cyclical changes cannot be stopped and consequently is is US that must adapt. Or die.

I guess, the way to adapt, is to live in A/C homes during the weeks of +40, as is done in Israel. And in places in the world where there is flooding, build high dikes, or relocate from there to drier, cooler climes. Now we need electricity to replace polluting fuels.
So, the Artic and Antartic ice melting, the new Nortern Artic shipping lanes are not an indication of warming. The rising seas are doing so on their own and not due to global warming. Rising seas are the reason some small inhabited (square km) islands are disappearing.
“climate change” used to be called “global warming” and before that it was called “Weather”.
Science is not determined by consensus but by proof and the ability of anyone to verify that proof. Once opinion and belief are involved science is left behind. What we have are theories which remain unproven and in which substantial numbers of experts disagree on the conclusions reached, in scientific fact disagreement is absent.
Overall global temperatures do not tell the whole story. The overall global temperature is always going to be controlled most fundamentally by our distance from the sun.
Is the “Climate Change” debate a fraud? Yes, of course.
Has human activity been effecting the atmosphere to the point where it threatens our existence? Yes, of course. It’s a problem as old as the industrial age (and probably older) with a long history of bitter debate with people who don’t care about dumping crap into our air, water and land.
If anyone cannot decide that our atmosphere has been changed by human activity, there is no point arguing with them and the whole “climate change” debate serves to obscure the issue better than any opposition to environmental concerns has ever done in the entire history of the debate.
The purpose of the bogus “climate change” debate is to obscure the nature and history of the problem, which is much older than twenty years. The “climate change” liars know that the real problem at this point is human overpopulation. There is no longer any use in conservation or efficiency in impacting the effect of human activity on our air, water and land. For example, at this point, heat emission alone from human activity is effecting the atmosphere.

Climate has been changing ever since Creation, Pangea split into continents dragging climate one way and the other. Since then records show uniform geological changes and concurrent climate cycles… or not.
I will again and as a basic start suggest those willing to see the end of catastrophism with the advent of the publication in 1833 of C, Lyell’s research resulting on him proposing the now generally accepted theory of uniformitarianism. Extra! Extra!
Climate will change now and always.
It is us and other creatures that must adapt, prepare beforehand and survive or… if not, perish.

I live in Montreal Canada. Want to know what global warming is about. Our winters start 1 month later than they did when I was born and grew up, and they end about 1 month earlier.
So, thats one part of global warming.
The other part is that mid summer temperature peaks are 2°C warmer than before, and our winters, for end January are 2 weeks colder than ever. In other words, hot and cold extremes are occurring.
So, take Israel, where it will be +40 on some days. That +40 will become +42. And take water shortage or desert. Water will be in short suppy and desert will grow. Hopefully, planting trees could defer the desert growth, if there are no forest fires.
And in the United States, you read about warming effects every year. Flooding where there was never ever flooding, Arizona temperatures at +40°C in summer. California with drought, and then with flooding.
So you say big-deal!. Well, what about food supply. Already, winter fruits and vegetables have doubled in price from 3 years ago. Thats due to supply and demand.
So yes, global warming is a myth. And if some know where to invest in corporations tackling a global warming technology, you make it appear as wrong. Why not invest in Solar and Windmill companies, and other technologies?
