MK: Cancel Oslo Accords, Make PA a Regional Council

Likud MK Mickey Zohar outlines an action plan to Arutz Sheva that involves annexing Judea-Samaria – and Israel looking out for itself.

Yitzhak Rabin and Yasser Arafat shake hands at the signing of the Oslo Accords

Israel must nullify the 1993 Oslo Accords, MK Mickey Zohar (Likud) stated to Arutz Sheva on Tuesday morning, just one day after Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu admitted he has no plans to expand Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria.

“When an Arab petitioner pleads to the High Court, right before my eyes, the rights of Jews disappear – the right to property, the right to freedom, and the right to live in their own country […] all because of bureaucratic matters,” Zohar fumed.

“All of these issues are related to the Oslo Accords, which have set the precedent for us to say the things that we ‘should’ say,” he continued. “The Accords are contrary to what is happening on the ground and what we believe should be.”

“We have a problem and need to take care of it at the roots, and only then will we find solutions.”

The Oslo Accords, he said, are an agreement “signed by a left-wing government that had done tremendous damage to the Jewish public in Israel, that [still] hurts us today.”

“The High Court determines that our land is not ours,” he stated. “This starts the problem and the solution begins with the annexation of the area, along with the cancellation of the Oslo Accords, so that on the ground we will be ready for the acceleration of construction Judea and Samaria, which is the solution to terrorism.”

“Then it will be clear that we intend to stay,” Zohar added.

“Make the world adapt to us”

Zohar contemptuously addressed the Lefts’ opinion that the Oslo Accords saved Israel’s international standing.

“I find that the whole world always sees us as oppressors of the minority, and as having an immoral army; the world takes every opportunity to hurt Israel’s reputation,” he said. “The world operates according to its own interests as we try to adapt ourselves to their interests.”

“This is not right,” he continued. “We need to take care of the interests of the Jewish people. If we think all the time about what the world says we will find ourselves in danger of extinction. We should act according to our standards, to ensure that our conscience is clean, and the world will have to adapt to us.”

As for possible practical solutions, Zohar has a few ideas.

“I’m not afraid of a situation in which the State of Israel operates the Palestinian Authority as if it’s any other local regional council (i.e. as a municipal authority under the State of Israel’s jurisdiction, but still with considerable local power – ed.), the boundaries are clear, they can work in partnership with us,” he opined.

“I have an orderly plan in this regard, but I’m not the leader of the country, only an MK,” he added. “I hope that one day when I can be part of the government (i.e. a minister – ed.), I can lead this plan, which is based on defining set boundaries for the Palestinian Authority; it will also not grant them citizenship or voting rights.”

“They will have the municipal authority with their rules they want to adopt, but they must be in cooperation with us,” he continued. “This will also include the annexation of [Jewish parts of] Judea-Samaria and the cancellation of the awfulOslo Accords, and require action under the plan [Prime Minister Yitzhak] Shamir set up to build dozens of cities in the region.”

“This is an important demographic process which would make a statement to the world,” he reflected. It remains unclear how the Palestinian Authority would be convinced into cooperating with Israel as a regional council of the Jewish state, when it has been committed to Israel’s destruction.

  1. ‘Zionist Union Is About to Enter the Coalition’

Meretz head says she knows for a fact that Yitzchak Herzog is about to join government, fly to US on its behalf.

Sorry to disappoint you Ross I have no time or interest with you in a “typeathon”. You believe whatever you like it is “A” okay with me.

no disappointment at all, I stated my facts, my beliefs are irrelevant to those.

Do you beleive that BB kept the seats warm for the “zionist” union?

@ bernard ross: Free Will plus all our predetermined views based on our personalities and life experiences allows one to view things differently.

I dont understand this comment or how it might relate to mine
    bernard ross Said:

can you point to anything in his terms which advanced settlement in YS outside of existing settlement blocks?

If your argument is that he prevented things from getting worse by doing nothing then I would say that they are worse as he destroyed the power of settlement support to his right. No one even mentions settlement in YS anymore. BB has removed even the concept from peoples minds

  4. I understand that tens of thousands of PLO and their families were allowed into YS from Tunisia on the basis of the Oslo agreement. It appears to me that if the agreement has been breached and canceled that their residence is also canceled. If the only legal justification for their residence is no longer legal then so is their residence. In my view the legal justification exists to create the opportunity of deporting the undesirables in the same way that Jews were deported from Gaza by the GOI….. busses across any hostile border that has no benefit of a treaty with Israel. Of course the appearance of such a great opportunity in the interest of Israel will not be taken by those who always seek to preserve a status quo of interest to others.

  5. Bear Klein Said:

I see zero evidence however that he is planning a new withdrawal. Actually we have increased soldiers in Judah & Samaria.

The evidence is that in 2 terms he has done NOT ONE THING to advance any new settlement in YS. the evidence is that he seeks to preserve the status quo of no new jews in YS by obstructing any new settlement. The evidence is his allowance of the EU to violate Israeli law and build settlements in area C for pals with his blessing. The evidence is his rezoning of areas of area C for large development and transfer to Pals. the evidence is that he does not contradict the EU libel of illegal settlement or the US libel of illegitimate settlement because he agrees with it.

As for the increased soldiers they are to protect the pals in area C. Haven’t you read of the new policy to treat arabs and Jews alike in area c… making no distinction for the fact that a Jewish Israeli fights for Israel whereas an arab west banker fights to destroy the state and kill Jews.

  6. Bear Klein Said:

Actually it has been categorically denied by the Likud. Reports not heard and then denied are maybe made to arouse some of our fears.

Actually the reports make sense as they completely validate BB actions in his last 2 terms and TODAY
    from your same link:

The head of the Har Hebron regional council, Yohai Damari, also issued a statement saying “the prime minister stated his intent to halt the settlement initiative.”

I dont know the guy making this assertion but I would almost believe anyone over the guy who appointed Livni for Justice, announced the E1 fraud, regularly plays the tax withhold game, pulled the dirty trick of lying to steal Bennetts supporters of settlement and yet never doing anything for settlement, the guy that facilitates the EU in YS building arab settlements in C, etc etc etc

Other than an unwavering belief in BB motives that contradict his actions , can you point to anything in his terms which advanced settlement in YS outside of existing settlement blocks? I don’t need reports and rumors to “arouse my fears”, I just go on BB’s actions as opposed to his words. These reports, and exact statements of what they heard themselves from BB, do not in any way contradict BB’s prior actions to date in the last 2 terms.

  7. @ babushka:
I am interested on knowing where from you received information about that “demand”.

I first heard it after Bush/Baker forced Shamir from office, and it has been an increasingly common refrain. During interviews in the United States, the concept has been expressed by Michael Oren, Moshe Arens, Ron Dermer, Jonathan Medved, and Dore Gold, among others.

When I heard the Israeli public demanded above all else that their prime minister must ingratiate himself to the American president, I thought, “This submissive foolishness will be the ruination of Israel.” I pray that Obama’s in-your-face malevolence has caused Israelis to reconsider.

  8. Let us see P5 + Germany lead by Kerry/Obama negotiated horrible deal with Iran. Bibi was not part of negotiations and has yelled and screamed against it. Some of the same people who were telling him to not to scream against it on the left because it was not polite are now blaming him for the deal (left mostly).

Believe it or not little Israel and its Prime Minister are not that important to Obama. He started his term with appeasement to Islam. He did not help the Iranians who wanted freedom from the Islamic government but wanted to appease the Mullahs.

Obama wanted to open the door for the USA to Iran. His capitulation to Iran is what he wanted and he capitulated.

If Obama wants to try and get closer to Iran (or Cuba) or any of the enemies of the west including the USA, nothing Israel can do accept try and point this out.

Israel is doing this now. Will their be enough Democrats who will vote with the Republicans to stop this insane deal? How looney has the democratic party gone. Hillary Clinton is backing Obama on this deal.

  9. @ babushka:
I am interested on knowing where from you received information about that “demand”. I am not doubting you at all.
They unJews here control still and for now ALL media and periodically send such stupid claims to justify their betrayals.
Israel is moving swiftly away from the present administration and turning to the Far east. Granted that Netanyahu is not it as a credible lead but that is what it is.
As to electorates… We have the same problem as the US has.

  10. The Israeli public demands that the top priority of the prime minister must be to maintain positive relations with America. That does not exonerate Netanyahu, but extends complicity to an electorate emotionally dependent upon false friends.

Same principle applies with Obama. He is reprehensible, but what kind of electorate elects and reelects such a degenerate?

  11. I am sorry to have to go back to this.
NETANYAHU has had decades to stop Iran when its power was incipient. DID NOT DO IT. Failed, and I have serious doubts about his motives. Is that clear?
NETANYAHU is unfit to remain there after having miserably failed. HE allowed Iran to be nuclear.
Further. His choice for generals is just as pathetic and soldiers are always investigated if they fight.
Keeping that cadre in control is suicidal.
I am up to here with his stupid speeches and posturings. He has to go.

  12. With the behavior of our allies, bottom line is: we are alone. Everything agreed upon previously is off the table, including the Oslo accords. Israel should annex everything.
J&S and Gaza. Send them packing. We cannot have the enemy so close if Iran has the nukes. Get rid of the enemy surrounding us and then, nuke Iran before they nuke us.

  13. @ babushka: Interesting points!

This superior intelligence stuff is perfect fodder for all that hate Jews! What do these studies buy us? There are of lots of Jews that are smart and many that use this so called superior intelligence to fool themselves.

  14. The Iranian agreement should belatedly convince Israel that world public opinion must always be subordinated to national security. If not, then yesterday’s column about the superior intelligence of Jews must be reclassified as satire.

  15. @ Bear Klein:
Netanyahu directly informed yesterday that he has no plans to expand in Y & S. Reported and not denied.
He is planning to destroy Amona and Bet El. It is fact.
As to IRAN: Could anyone explain to me what has he done?

  16. @ SHmuel HaLevi 2:
I agree Bibi is not doing many things many of us would want. I see zero evidence however that he is planning a new withdrawal. Actually we have increased soldiers in Judah & Samaria.

  17. Precisely. The region where the regional council may exist shall be in what is today Jordan.
Cancel as well all allocations, monuments and other State benefits to the “Oslo Accords” associates.

Regrettably, Netanyahu is not going to do what is in our National interest. Cancelling the nefarious accords, that is. Instead he is preparing for a mega disengagement and he must not be be allowed to do such barbarity.
A Nobel at all costs is his goal.
