Missiles pound S. Israel for third day

DEBKAfile Special Report October 31, 2011, 9:34 PM (GMT+02:00)

Beersheba, Ashkelon, Ashdod and Sderot were under missile attack from Gaza Monday night, Oct. 31 – hours after Israel’s Home Front Minister Mattan Vilnai stated the Jihad Islami offensive launched Saturday was over. Seven missiles flew across the border on Day 3 of the assault, one intercepted in Beersheba by an Iron Dome battery. Sunday night Israeli mayors and council heads of key southern towns questioned the military assessment and kept schools closed. The continuing barrage and the army’s decision to park an nterceptor battery in Rehovot, 32 kilometers northeast of the Gaza Strip, proved they were right.

debkafile reported earlier Monday:

Israel is seeing its first ever crisis of confidence between a large normally docile civilian population and the heads of the armed forces.Mayors and local council heads representing the three quarters of-a-million inhabitants of the southern towns of Beersheba, Ashkelon, Ashdod, Kiryat Gat and Gan Yavneh, announced Sunday night, Oct. 31, that they don’t believe the army’s claim the missile offensive besetting them since Saturday is over.

Their schools stayed closed Monday, Oct. 31, in defiance of Home Front Command orders to lift the security restrictions that were imposed Saturday, when eight Israeli towns were pounded by scores of missiles, causing one death, dozens of injuries, substantial damage and the disruption of lives.

After a decade of missile violence from Gaza, the people still living there are saying enough is enough. They are fed up with being told that the military and powers-that-be know best how to handle the terrorism from the Gaza Strip. The missiles start flying whenever it pleases the Gazan Palestinians, a recurring blight which has seriously stunted the region’s development.

debkafile’s analysts attribute this newfound combativeness to seven causes.

1. Conflicting statements from Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and the army chiefs. Whereas Netanyahu stated Sunday that there is no ceasefire, army officers informed the South that a truce is in force and only needs time to take hold.

2. An Egyptian-brokered ceasefire was announced as going into effect Sunday morning, Oct. 30 at 0600 hours (after more than 35 missiles were fired Saturday). That whole day, the Palestinians continued their attacks which they divided into two stages: Soon after the 0600 deadline, they shot 15 Grads and mortar rounds into Israel and paused. In the evening, other round of 9 Qassam missiles hit Ashkelon regional council and Eshkol district.

3. The Iron Dome batteries, designed by Israel to intercept short-range rockets, failed to stop any Sunday, starting a wave of rumors across the South.
Few heeded the words of ex-security officers turned pundits who explained that even wonder systems have mechanical breakdowns. After the IDF issued a bulletin asserting the Jihad Islami had used “innovative firing technology” – without specifying what it was – many assumed that the Iron Dome had been neutralized – not by the technologically-challenged Palestinian extremists, but by specialist officers sent to Gaza but their masters in Tehran.

4. The brief television appearance of Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz, answering a question with the words: “We shall do what needs to be done.” As he spoke, sirens sounded and missiles and mortar shells exploded in Ashkelon, Sderot and other locations abutting on the Gaza Strip.

5. As Sunday wore on, the lack of clarity over government intentions deepened. The population realized that no substantial military operation was planned and their trouble was there to stay. A new truce deadline was said to be scheduled for 2200 Sunday night. The Palestinians chose that hour to resume their attacks on Ashkelon regional council and Eshkol district.

6. As Monday morning, Oct. 31 dawned with no sign that the radical jihad Islami intended to hold its fire, Home Front Minister Mattan Vilnai aired his first message to the South:

“This round is over,” he said. “It was the work of the Jihad Islami alone. Hamas, which as Gaza Strip rulers are responsible, stood aside.”

debkafile’s military sources: This is a further Netanyahu government step to relieve Hamas of the burdens of responsibility for the violence emanating from its territory.

This anomalous situation arose from an unsatisfactory exchange between Jerusalem and Cairo. Egypt informed Jerusalem it had managed to persuade Jihad Islami to halt its missile offensive but not to stop its fellow radical Palestinian groups in the Gaza from shooting or even withhold the missiles for them to continue their assaults.
The prime minister and defense minister were reluctant to admit to the public that they had placed their reliance for the security of southern Israel on the military rulers of Egypt – and then only with partial success.

7. Community leaders in the south are preparing to take a leaf out of two popular campaigns which managed in recent weeks to shock the Netanyahu government out of its complacence: This week, 19 new bills were put before the Knesset’s winter session in response to the demands of the Social Justice movement; and last week, the Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit’s release was achieved, partly as a result of popular pressure.

Several community leaders warned that the South is now on the march to finally break the devastating cycle of ceasefires imposed and violated at the convenience of the Palestinian aggressors and force the government and army to root out the plague of the Palestinian missiles once and for all.

    We are the 20 percent!

Throughout our history there have been weaker elements who have shirked the sacrifices which Judaism entailed. They have been swallowed, long since, in the great majority; only the more stalwart have carried on the traditions of their ancestors, and can now look back with pride upon their superb heritage. Are we to be numbered with he weak majority, or with the stalwart minority? It is for ourselves to decide.”

  2. To not judge is a worldly concept. You have to judge every day just to live. Shall I have coffee or tea? Shall I stop at a red light or go? That said, people on this board are not judging you. They are warning you. Yamit has done an excellent job. Anyone with even minimal insight can see there is a world war coming and that will change everything including your ability to travel. You seem to discount that G-d can and does intervene in the affairs of men. Think of those who were warned but did not move and were caught up in the Holocaust. This can happen again. NWO Globalism is brought to you by the same people who authored the Holocaust. Below is a list of instance where G-d warned people to flee. There are more at the link.

    The Biblical Command to Flee.

“…Let me take you to several Bible stories and show you a number of great and godly people who found themselves in life-threatening circumstance, and see what they did. …

    1. NOAH – Hebrews 11:7 – “By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.” Noah was MOVED WITH FEAR, and consequently spent 100 years building one of the largest ships in all ancient history, at the age of over 500 years old. God forewarned him of a coming calamity (the great flood) and Noah spent the following CENTURY making preparations to “flee” the flood.
    2. ABRAHAM was WARNED of God that Sodom and Gomorrah would be destroyed. Abraham wanted to save the lives of his relatives, so he interceded with God. Consequently, God sent angels who COMPELLED Lot and his family to FLEE for their lives – all by the will of God!
    3. JACOB FLED from Esau. After prevailing over his brother in the pursuit of the coveted blessing of God, Jacob was urged by his mother to FLEE for his life. Jacob’s flight from Esau is one of the great stories of the Bible. His life was spared and he became a great nation. (Genesis 35:7)
    4. JOSEPH FLED from Potiphar’s wife to avoid being entrapped by her seduction, (Genesis 39:12).
    5. The CHILDREN OF ISRAEL fled the famine in Canaan to go to Egypt where they found food. God ordained their flight many years before, when he foretold young Joseph of those days which were to come.
    6. JOSEPH was forewarned by God that there would be seven years of worldwide famine, so for SEVEN YEARS, Joseph PREPARED FOR FAMINE by laying up in store. His tactics not only saved HIS life, but the lives of all his family and all of Egypt.
    7. MOSES mother, Jochabed, HID baby Moses from Pharaoh, (Exodus 2:3). She wanted him to ESCAPE execution, and because of her efforts, Moses was saved.
    8. Young MOSES learned that Pharaoh had sworn to kill him, so MOSES FLED for his life, (Exodus 2:15).
    9. The CHILDREN OF ISRAEL FLED from Pharaoh and Egypt across the Red Sea, (Exodus 14:5).
    10. God provided CITIES OF REFUGE for accused murderers to FLEE to for safety until their case could be heard, (Numbers 25:35).
    11. DAVID FLED from King Saul many times (I Samuel 19:10), and was a fugitive for 15 years. Jonathan urged David to HIDE from his father. David’s prayer was “HIDE me under the shadow of thy wings,” (Psalm 17:8).
    12. DAVID also FLED from Absalom his son, (II Samuel 15:14).
    13. ELIJAH FLED from Queen Jezebel, (I Kings 19:3). God also warned ELIJAH to HIDE from King Ahab, (I Kings 17:3).
    14. JEROBOAM FLED from King Solomon, (I Kings 11:40).

There are 7 more, from Matthew, John and Acts. Click above link for the rest.

Think what would have happened if Noah had not prepared and built an Ark? How long do you supposed he could tread water? Think of the consequences for not heeding warning notices. I will remind you again of one more. LOT who fled Sodom and his wife who looked back. Do you think G-d took her to Heaven?

  3. Furthermore Rongrand – maybe you are a righteous Gentile….Maybe God is keeping you in the Catholic Church to help educate others…. Who am I to judge you for being a practising Catholic even though we know the Vatican still has a long way to go with the Jewish people – and the antisemites that it still nurtures…so likewise, you have no business telling me what God wants from me or the rest of the Jews living outside of Israel…I think God is quite capable of handling that and I find it offensive that you allow yourself to be influenced by others. Lighten up! I personally don’t care if you want to chastise me. Actually, I find it amusing….coming from a Catholic – trying to tell me the Jew.

  4. Sorry Yamit. I would have responded sooner but I just got back from the synogogue. When I do move to Israel you will be one of the first people I will whack up the side of the head. lol. If I do happen to die before then – oh well – I will just be in my permanent homeland – HEAVEN!!!

  5. I agree with your last line. You are taking what I say out of context. If you had paid as close attention to some of my other comments you would have read that I am compelled to move to Israel. Not because God is forcing me or guilt tripping me – not at all! It is already in process – but the process is not a simple procedure and it takes time. I don’t owe you any further explanation. I do know others who are practising Jews and have a great love of Israel and have travelled to Israel. They are not compelled at this time to claim their right of return. That doesn’t mean that they won’t 2 or 3 or even 4 years down the road…

  6. Yamit, you have a valid point. Just maybe G-d doesn’t feel the JINO’s of the world are worthy to return to land of His promise.

I don’t believe the JINO’s would understand the necessity of reclaiming all of Israel, the Holy Land and the sacrifice needed to do so.

  7. I don’t believe G-d expects all Jewish families to move to Israel however, I do believe G-d expects all Jews to support Israel

    Yea he does.

    Never forget

“Rabbi Nachman of Bratslav left this world 195 years ago. His life is a reproach to all too many modern rabbis.

For Rabbi Nachman, the return to Zion was integral to Judaism, worth suffering for. Rabbi Nachman sold all his belongings and sent his daughter to work so he could undertake aliyah. The effort wasn’t in vain: upon reaching Eretz Israel, the rabbi changed his views so much that he prohibited references to his earlier opinions. Rootless Jews who have never been to Israel cannot understand that change.

Unlike the politically correct rabbinical establishment, Rabbi Nachman was uncompromising about his teachings and goals. That cost him official recognition.

Rabbi Nachman did one unprecedented thing: he refused to bless marrying couples, saying that in a hundred years, a generation would appear which had better not be born. A generation of Ukrainian and Polish Jews born a century later was annihilated in the Holocaust.

Rabbi Nachman made clear that he was horrified by the fate of that generation: he asked to be buried in Uman, among the victims of the Ukrainian carnage that took the lives of 30,000 Jews 43 years before he died.

In the globalized secular world, Jews cannot survive outside of Israel. Jews do not even exist in many countries where their communities flourished for millennia. Jews are extremely vulnerable in Israel. Such a situation cannot continue for long. I don’t believe in the world continuing without Jews.”

  8. I like pastrami but I don’t eat it any more (or any meat) due to saturated fat. I used to LOVE lox but no longer eat it because it’s smoked (stomach cancer risk). One thing I CANNOT get in Northeast PA is Great Lakes whitefish (a favorite of my family in Chicago), which is probably not surprising because we’re nowhere near Lake Superior. I suspect that it is a lot harder to get in Israel (and costs a fortune).

There is finally conclusive evidence that Osama bin Laden and Muammar Gaddafi are dead.

Yesterday, they both registered to vote in Chicago.

  9. I am not as harsh and judgemental as some people are with MY people, the JEWISH people.

Sure you are!! you are excusing and justifying not only your rejection of G-d but all Jews like yourself.

If you ever want to know what G-d wants read his book. Nowhere does it say that Jews should live in any Place but the Land of Israel.

The first commandment given to papa Abram was: “Lech Lecha”…Parshat Lech Lecha – “Torah Lights”

“Dwell in the Land, which I shall tell you, live in this Land, and I will be with you, and I will bless you, for to you and to your offspring I will give all of these lands; and I will perform the oath that I swore to Avraham your father; and I will multiply you as the stars of the heavens, and I will give to thy offspring all of these lands, and in your offspring all the nations of the earth will be blessed; because Avraham obeyed My voice, and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My laws” (Bereshit, 26: 3-5).

Can anything be more straightforward than this? G-d wants the Jewish People to live in the Land of Israel, which He bequeathed to us and only to us for all of eternity.

Did the thought ever occur to you that God WANTS the Jewish people to be dispursed throughout the world at this time. I have seen this in MANY MANY households. It is NOT because of Jewish stubborness that half of the Jewish people live outside of Israel as much as it is GENTILE’S STUBBORNESS, GREED, FALSE DOCTRINE, SLANDER ETC.

    Dove, stop the blame game.

Don’t give me that G-d wants the Jewish people to be dispersed throughout the world, you are trying to justify why you don’t feel compelled to move to Israel.

I don’t believe G-d expects all Jewish families to move to Israel however, I do believe G-d expects all Jews to support Israel

  11. Dimitri Duduman was a boat captain in Romania when a voice with great authority called him and told him to go and smuggle Bibles into Russia. He was not a believer at that time. He obeyed that voice and smuggled Bibles for years and had many miraculous escapes from the Russians. He was led by angels and protected by G-d. Then the Romanian Secret Police caught him and tortured him. G-d struck his main tormenter down and killed him and the others were afraid and let Dimitri go. He had a vision then and that same voice told him to go to America. When he got there in September, 1984, he was told against by a voice with great authority in a bright light that “America will burn” and that he was to spread the message to warn people. He wrote a book calling Through the Fire without Burning which was his bio as well as spelling out his 35 dreams and visions about this. Read this dream. The other dreams and visions are there as well. Why didn’t G-d speak through someone big and important rather than a humble boat captain? His ways are not our ways.

  12. I am not as harsh and judgemental as some people are with MY people, the JEWISH people. The Jews will survive. Israel WILL survive – but God still wants many of us to live outside of Israel at this time. Of coarse there are Jews that don’t care about Israel – or the survival of the Jewish people – they rather live in lavish homes and be ignorant snobs. Not much you can do about those except banish them as they also cause antisemitism to rise.

Really. If that were the case then the transition would have been alot smoother, instead of over 60 years of turmoil. You are either not Jewish or you have been compelled to move to the homeland

Dove, even Moses didn’t have a smooth transition.

Remember G-d helps those who help themselves.

No, I am not Jewish however, I am a practicing Catholic and I believe (my friends likewise) G-d led His people back to the Holy Land and I sure you will agree some Jews tend to be stubborn therefore the transition is not too smooth.

  14. Yamit posted…

these are the first steps into the final chapter of Jewish triumph.

Thanks for that, Yamit. Beautiful! And we are so much closer now than when he wrote it.

  15. dove says:

Well rabbi Yammit. God did not lead the Jews back to Israel. It’s was man’s decision after the atrocities of WWII. However, the Jews are caught between a rock and a hard place as they are always at either the mercy of God or the mercy of man. Let God be God …

Not all Jews have been compelled yet – that does not mean that they are not real Jews or that they are being disobedient. I myself know that I will be returning to the homeland but the process in some cases takes alot longer and is a little more complicated. So….who are you or Yamit to judge…

. However, even though we know through prophecy that Israel belongs to the Jews I still think that man’s interference has made the situation much more difficult – I don’t believe it has been Divine intervention. It is Divine intervention that we need to help with a very vulnerable position that Israel is in.

“Yisroel, Oraisa V’Kudsha Brich Hu Chad Hu.”

“Israel is not a state; it is a Decree. Israel is not a land; it is a concept. We have returned not because of Socialism or pioneers or the army – though all these will gain their place in history of the people for their self-sacrifice and readiness to do what others were not prepared to do. We have returned because the All Mighty peered at the clock of history that was being wound by the suffering of His children and decided: It is time”. MK

“Why do the Jews tremble and quake before the threat of the nations? Is there no longer a G-d in Israel? Have we lost our bearings that we do not understand the ordained historical role of the State of Israel, a role that ensures that it can never be destroyed and that no further exile from it is possible?” MK

The beginning of the final era is upon us. The one who doubts this is not a scoffer; he is blind. The rise of the Jewish State from the ashes and dung heap of history; the return of the people scattered and ground into the dust; the reemergence of a language, consigned to the libraries and antiquities of the Vatican and the House of Study; the stranger-than-fiction, miraculous victories over overwhelming enemies thirsting for bloody destruction and holocaust – these are the first steps into the final chapter of Jewish triumph.

  16. That reminds me of this story:

At the turn of the century cod fish were in much demand on the east coast. News of this tasty fish spread across the country all the way to the west coast. There was however a problem. How could they get the fish across the country and still keep it fresh? They tried to freeze the fish and send it by rail, the fastest means at the time. When it was prepared it turn out to be very mushy and lacked flavor. Then someone decided to ship the fish live turning railroad cars into huge saltwater aquariums. When the cod fish arrived they were still alive but when they were prepared they were still mushy and tasteless. After studying the cod fish someone discovered that their natural enemy was the catfish. This time when the cod fish were put in the tanks they placed a few catfish in with them. Those catfish chased the cod fish all the way across the country to the west coast. This time when they were prepared they were flakey and had the same flavor as they did when they were caught fresh and prepared on the east coast. You see the catfish kept the cod from becoming stale. The catfish kept them fresh.

Jews are the cod and Muslims are catfish. In fact, Muslims are catfish to the whole world.

  17. You do make some very good and valid points. I don’t disagree with what you say about America. I don’t live in America. However, even though we know through prophecy that Israel belongs to the Jews I still think that man’s interference has made the situation much more difficult – I don’t believe it has been Divine intervention. It is Divine intervention that we need to help with a very vulnerable position that Israel is in.

G-d does some of His best work in the midst of trouble and tribulation. Israel is living proof of that. He can take the least of nations and make it the center of the earth and destroy all her enemies. His ways are not our ways and “smoother” is on the broad road to destruction. You need a revelation from the Lord that the Bible is true and that He is instructing you from it. Ask Him for that revelation.

Jer 16:14 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be said, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt; 15 But, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers. 16 Behold, I will send for many fishers, saith the LORD, and they shall fish them; and after will I send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.

Ge 15:6 And he [Abraham] believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

I read a long time ago that before WWII prophets came to Eastern Europe and warned Jews of what was coming. As a result there were three groups who heard the message. The first who left with their lives and stuff. The second who left with only their lives. The third who didn’t leave and were murdered. They had a choice somewhere along the way but believed the prophets too late. I believe that America is “Great Babylon” of Jer. Ch 50 & 51. Note below that there is a time when they will shut the doors and you cannot leave. (Even a big airline strike can cause that. Look at Qantas this week in AU. Tens of thousands couldn’t go anywhere.)

Jer 50:29 Call together the archers against Babylon: all ye that bend the bow, camp against it round about; let none thereof escape: recompense her according to her work; according to all that she hath done, do unto her: for she hath been proud against the LORD, against the Holy One of Israel.

I think your going a little over the top when you say you love Israel more than your family. Without family there is NO Israel. God is not in the business of dividing and conquering families.

He most certainly has been and is in that business. He called Abraham to leave his country and his kindred. He tested Abraham on the mount with Isaac to see if Abraham loved G-d more than his son. And as you continue in life, He will test you to see if you are truly His or not. A man who was fairly rich prayed and said, “Lord, I love you more than anything!” So God tested him by removing those things that qualified him as rich. First the business, then the yacht, then the house, then the cars, and so on. With some he even removes a family member. Remember Lot’s wife! Did He not do that with Job who refused to curse G-d and die? When one loves family more than G-d, it becomes Idolatry and a violation of the First Commandment: Ex 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

Ge 22:11 And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.
12 And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.
13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.

Tell me again why anybody in his right mind would want to make aliya to a country that is so contemptible that it allows terrorists to attack its population with few if any real consequences.

    1. Because G-d is calling His people back to Israel. Aliyah is a matter of faith. Not all men have faith. If you don’t have faith, pray that G-d will give you faith. Be aware that praying for faith is a little like praying for patience. When you pray for patience, you will be put in a situation (tribulation) where you have NO patience and have to ask G-d for more. Faith is like that.

    2. Because the globalists together with the Muslims are going to destroy America. A Jewish lady in Israel told me she had a dream from the Lord in which she was told to prepare for refugees coming from America. You are in more danger in America than in Israel, particularly if you live in a city. However bad it gets in Israel, it will be worse in America.

    3. The same globalists who don’t defend good people against terrorists in Israel do the same in America and it will get worse. Calling good evil and evil good. Exalting Muslims and their Sharia law and condemning Christians and Jews.

Dove, BTW man’s decision was by Divine intervention (G-d led the way).

    Moses was by Divine intervention.

    That’s G-d being G-d.

Therefore G-d led His people back to the Holy Land, again G-d will be G-d.

    Dove, wake up.

  24. Due to ongoing terrorism and the enduring hostility of much of the World, Israel may not seem safe for the individual Jew. Yet, it is the only country in the World that is safe for the collective Jew.

  25. God is not stupid. God knows full well that if all Jews were to move back to the homeland now there would probably end up being alot MORE dead Jews that during WWII.

G-d is not stupid Jews are.
    http://www.rosenblit.com/EXPLAINING_THE_UNEXPLAINABLE.htm
“A wise man’s mind [tends] to his Right, while a fool’s mind [tends] to his Left. Even on the road, as the fool walks, he lacks sense and proclaims to all that he is a fool.” (Ecclesiastes 10:2-3)

our Sages have said: “G-d regrets having created four things: Exile, Babylonians, Ishmaelites and the Evil Impulse”. (Succah 52b). G-d nevertheless regrets having created the Exile because, although the Exile and its attendant “evils and troubles” was a just punishment for our repeated disobedience to Him while we yet possessed the Land of Israel, it did not fulfill its explicit purpose of causing us, through our traumatic sense of loss, to repent of our sins quickly so that we could be repatriated to the Land of Israel quickly. On the contrary, for the last 2,000 years the Jews of the Diaspora, both the Secular and the Religious, and especially those living in affluent countries, have instead treated their Exile from the Land of Israel as a well-deserved reward from Heaven with little or no desire to end it — this despite our Sages’ words that: “Living in Eretz Yisrael equals the combined weight of all of the mitzvot in the Torah.” (Sifri, Re’ei, 80).

The fanatical love of the Jew — both the Secular and the Religious — for, and his attachment to, the Exile is the theological root of all of the “evils and troubles”, including the Shoah, that have befallen us since we were sent out in disgrace from the good Land that G-d had chosen for us to possess in perpetuity.

G-d explicitly admonishes the Hebrew tribes prior to their original return to the Land of Israel that, as result of the future sins which they will commit while residing therein, all due to their future lack of Yirat Elokim (fear of Heaven), they would be punished by suffering mass expulsion therefrom and then by having to endure horrific persecutions in the lands of their Exile:

“‘And you shall I scatter among the nations, and I shall unleash after you a sword. … And to the survivors among you I shall bring a weakness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; and the sound of a rustling leaf shall pursue them, and they shall flee as one flees from the sword, and they shall fall without there being any pursuer. They shall stumble over one another as [in flight] from before the sword without there being any pursuer; and you shall not be able to stand before your enemies. You shall perish among the nations; and the land of your enemies shall devour you.'” (Lev. 26:33-38); and “HaShem shall scatter you among all the peoples, from the [one] end of the Earth to the [other] end of the Earth … And among these nations you shall find no ease, neither shall the sole of your foot have rest; but HaShem shall give you there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and despair of mind. And your life shall hang in doubt before you, and you will be frightened night and day, and you shall have no assurance of your survival. In the morning you shall say, ‘Who will give [back to me] the night’ and in the evening you shall say, ‘Who will give [back to me] the morning’, for the fear of your heart which you shall fear and the sight of your eyes which you shall see.” (Deut. 28:64-67); and, even more ominously: “… I will hide My Face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them; so that they will say on that day: ‘Are not these Evils come upon us because our God is not among us?’” (Deut. 31:17).

G-d’s reason for commencing the repatriation of His People to the Land of Israel, even in the absence of their sincere and complete repentance for their sins, and for utilizing, as His Agents, secular Zionists who denied His very Existence, was declared by the Prophet Ezekiel, speaking in G-d’s Name:

“I scattered them among the nations and they were dispersed among the lands; according to their way and according to their acts did I judge them. They came among the nations where they came, and they desecrated My Holy Name when it was said of them, ‘These are the people of HaShem, but they departed His Land.’ I took pity on my Holy Name which the House of Israel had desecrated among the nations where they came. Therefore, say to the House of Israel: Thus said the Lord HaShem: It is not for your sake that I act, O House of Israel, but for My Holy Name that you have desecrated among the nations where you came. I will sanctify My Great Name that is desecrated among the nations — that you have desecrated among them; then the nations will know that I am HaShem — the Word of the Lord HaShem — when I become sanctified through you before their eyes. I will take you from [among] the nations and gather you from all the lands, and I will bring you to your own soil … Not for your sake do I act — the Word of the Lord HaShem — let this be known to you! Be embarrassed and ashamed of your ways, O House of Israel!” (Ezek. 36:19-32).

  26. I think your going a little over the top when you say you love Israel more than your family. Without family there is NO Israel. God is not in the business of dividing and conquering families.

    A- it’s a different kind of love.

B- Every Soldier who not only risks his life but has given it for the Land of Israel puts Nation ahead of family. Since in theory every Israeli gives a good part of his life to the defense of the Land I see no contradiction in what I posted.

I didn’t know that G-d was in business? If there is a business it is in the ends served. The ends served is doing what G-d has commanded us and living in Israel is THE PRIMARY COMMANDMENT. You cannot be a Jew outside of Israel.

Mishne Torah, Sefer Shoftim, The Laws of Kings and Their Wars, Chapter 5, Halakha 12.

At all times, a person should dwell in Eretz Yisrael, even in a city whose population is primarily of worshippers of idols, rather than dwell in the Diaspora in a city whose population is primarily Jewish.

In that all who leave [the land] for the Diaspora is as though he worships idols, as it is says: They have driven me out today from dwelling in the heritage of G-d, saying, ‘Go serve other gods.’ [Shmuel I 26:19] Similarly, [Ezekiel’s (13:9) prophecies of] retribution state: They shall not come to the Land of Israel.

The Jew living outside the Land, constitutes the worshipping of idols because doing so denies the foundations of the Torah, i.e., the enactment of the Torah, and the living by the statutes of the Law. The project of enacting the Torah can only be legally accomplished in the Land as defined by the Law. law because the foundation of Jewish practice is founded upon the creation of an autonomous Jewish political entity in the Land of Israel.

Just as it is forbidden to leave the Land for the Diaspora, so it is forbidden to leave Bavel for other lands, as it is written: They shall be brought to Bavel and there they shall be [until I take notice of them . . . and restore them to this place, i.e. the Land of Israel]. [Jeremiah 27:22]

GOD will lead each Jew back to the homeland as GOD sees fit in GOD’S time and plan. That may not even happen in our lifetime. God is not stupid. God knows full well that if all Jews were to move back to the homeland now there would probably end up being alot MORE dead Jews that during WWII.

G-d has lead us back to the homeland but like in our history most refused to come. Most of the Egyptian slaves stayed in Egypt and were killed with the Egyptians, Most of the Babylonian Jews stayed in Babylon and most assimilated. Most of European Jews stayed put and were liquidated Most of American Jews are so far assimilated they might as well from a Jewish point of view be written off.

The exile was to be punishment but the clinging to that punishment is more often than not self fulfilling. If European Jews had gotten out when they could history would have been much different than it has become.

G-d does not seem to give Jews second chances when it comes to settling in Israel you can never know when some modern cossacks will descend. Jews have been given free will to choose life over death and good over evil but he alone must make the choice and what he chooses has consequences if not this generation than the next.

  27. I think your going a little over the top when you say you love Israel more than your family. Without family there is NO Israel. God is not in the business of dividing and conquering families. GOD will lead each Jew back to the homeland as GOD sees fit in GOD’S time and plan. That may not even happen in our lifetime. God is not stupid. 28. General Patton was rumored to be an anti-Semite because he made derogatory comments about the Jews his army liberated from concentration camps. I don’t think he had problems with Jews for being Jews (there were many Jewish soldiers under his command) and he also intervened to stop the lynching of a Black soldier by racists prior to the war. He DEFINITELY had a problem with men who wouldn’t fight when they were supposed to fight. He assumed the Jews were in the camps because they had so little dignity or self-respect that they hadn’t joined a Resistance or at least tried to take a few Nazis with them before they died. I am sure he would have the same contempt for Israel today because its recent actions show exactly what he meant about men who wouldn’t fight.

    Source Pls.

I have zero confidence in Israel’s government or its armed forces noting that the FIRST rocket was not met with overwhelming military violence to preclude the launching of any more.

Yes just like America bomber the hell out of the Saudis after 9/11 and I haven’t seen you move to Norway?

Tell me again why anybody in his right mind would want to make aliya to a country that is so contemptible that it allows terrorists to attack its population with few if any real consequences.

    We’ve got answers!

Ever since the quake and tsunami devastated the land of Buddhist shrines and idol worship, Israel radio and TV anchormen were interviewing Israelis living in Japan to provide eyewitness coverage of the disaster. This morning, one of the radio’s most staunch, leftist, show hosts was startled to hear the expatriate Israeli whom he was interviewing demand that the government of Israel immediately send out a rescue team to remove him from a troubled area.

You want the government of Israel to rescue you?” the surprised announcer asked.

“That’s right. What’s taking them so long? Can’t they do anything right?”

“You moved to Japan and you want Israel to rescue you?”

“That’s right. I’m an Israeli. Doesn’t Israel send rescue teams all over the world? It’s their job to get me out of here!”

“Let me get this straight,” the show host said. “You left Israel to live in Japan, where you probably have some high-salaried job, and you expect Israel to send out a rescue team to help you? Wouldn’t you call that chutzpah?”

“Why is it chutzpah? What difference does it make where I live? If a person could make a decent living in Israel and not have to do a month of milluim in the army every year, I’d live in Israel. Off course, it’s their duty to save me.”

With a sigh, the announcer changed subjects and asked a question about the situation in Japan.

There will come a day when some similar demand from those like you will be made, of that I have no doubts.
