NATO is apparently desperate for support, that they would invest time and energy on a psychological warfare campaign using a teen pop star.
NATO is losing support because it has exceeded its mandate in every possible way. European countries don’t want to put money into defense (other than Poland), and a lot of people in this country see NATO as a defensive alliance, not an alliance formed for the purpose of regime change in Russia, that is willing to risk everything, even at the risk of nuclear war to achieve that goal.
NATO and every other neocon supported organization (The Atlantic Council, etc.)realizes that the majority of the people in the US, in England, in Europe, in Japan and other countries DO NOT WANT FOREVER WARS ANYMORE. Their brand is tarnished if not destroyed. They want more arms sales, more wars, not less.
Do they really think Taylor Swift will make NATO look cool, and all the MAGA supporters will suddenly drop out of the campaign and suddenly vote for Komrade Kamala?
This has to be one of the dumbest ideas I have heard, but then again, the entire premise of the war in Ukraine, i.e. regime change in Russia, is extremely dumb and dangerous.
She does have an enormous following.So this is bad news.But expected. Ever since Neo-Nazi sites glamorized her as a true Aryan beauty several years ago, she’s been paranoid about people thinking she is an extreme rightist. Endorsing Democrats is the best wat she can obtain political protection. In Russia artists do the same thing by praising President Putin and affirming their allegiance to his ONe Russia party. In Britain, they affirm their allegiance to the Labour party. A oerforming artist in Britain who admits to being a supporter of the Conservative or Reform parties won’t get any gigs. Swift is too big to be denied performance gigs. But the Demotcrat government could launch a hate campaign against her as they have done with several performance and/or creative artists who have refused to tow the party line.
