Nice mental state to be in if you have no memory of the past, no concerns for or knowledge about the present and no sense of any need for self protection.
Sycophantic American Jews have a lot to account for. As do all Jews who support Obama and his policies. Everything that obama has done, not done is amenned by the American Jewish community who would vote overwhelmingly again and again for him. Ditto for Jimmy the Dhimmy.
I have met some American Jews in business and I find them weird when the subject comes to politics. All sense of reason and innate self defense vanishes. All they say is how much Obama is doing for education, security, pensions,, I have no understanding the garbage passing their lips. Obama wants to see the West burn. All that he has done, not done and will do and will not do supports this. But all politicians are the enemy.

Yes there was Jewish American fear of christians. In America during the war Years Jews were according to Gallop, less liked and considered more of a threat to christian Americans than were the Germans and Japanese.
If you really believe the British were really afraid of an Arab Revolt you are more stupid or insidious than even I believed of you till now. The Arabs in any event were aiding the Nazis wherever and however they could. Even here in Palestine when the British wanted to teach the Arabs a lessen they were as ruthless as the Nazi. They murdered thousands and razed whole towns and villages to their foundations. That brought them respect for their power and quiet.
CuriousAmerican: You really like the status quo – then and now. According to you, whatever happened to Jews, then or now, could not/cannot have been/be prevented and so be it. The Jewish leadership used sha shtil then and it uses sha shtil today (to avoid real work and to impress the “general community” with how detached they are from the Jewish community). Are you, by any chance, a leader in some Jewish Federation – past or present?
20/20 Hindsight. Hitler’s propaganda machine was telling the world that this was a Jew’s war. This war was of the Jews, by the Jews, and for the Jews.
If 50,000 Jews had done what Meir Kahane had asked, it might have backfired.
There were those in America who wanted a negotiated peace. If 50,000 Jews had marched, it would have made it look like WW2 was a “War for the Jews.”
A lot of Gentile parents might have reconsidered sending their son to die in a “war for the Jews.”

A more valid question is why Britain closed the escape to the Mandate in 1939.
Answer: To prevent an Arab revolt … which did occur in Iraq in 1941. It would have spread to the Mandate in Palestine; but the White Paper convinced the Arabs that no more Jews were coming and so they remained quiet during the war which is what the British wanted.
Had the British opened the Mandate Doors, who knows what might have happened? Jews might have been saved, or the whole Arab world might have revolted, NOT JUST IRAQ.
These were political leaders, not men of faith. They made calculated decision based on incomplete knowledge

America’s Reform Jews are rapidly assimilating: good riddance?
In the 1880s, the Jew-hating government of orthodox christian russia instituted its policy of thirds to eliminate russia’s Jews: One third to be killed, one third converted, and one third driven out.
The ultra-orthodox Jews opted largely to stay put and tough it out, trusting in HaShem. On the other hand, the less religious Jews, strongly influenced by the “rational, humanistic Enlightenment”, scrambled for America.
When these less religious Jews reached America, they realized there was no compulsion to stay loyal to Judaism and the orthodox rabbis. The boldest ones immediately declared themselves to be atheists and abandoned Judaism altogether. But those who felt guilty about totally leaving Judaism opted for a “pretend” form of Judaism that promoted gradual assimilation. They named this “Reform Judaism”, patterned after the protestant reformation of catholicism. The Reform “Jews” were agnostic with respect to god, and were the Jewish equivalent of “christian” Unitarian/Universalists.
Heading into World War Two, there was enormous Jew-hatred in America among the christians, both the WASP establishment, and the catholics. The American government was (rightfully) convinced that if they told the American christians about catholic hitler’s plans to exterminate the european Jews, the American christians would overwhelmingly support catholic hitler and refuse to go to war against him.
This put America’s Reform “Jews” in a bind. They had only lukewarm sympathy for the Jews left in europe. Moreover, they desperately wished to assimilate, and did not want to antagonize America’s christians by drawing attention to themselves.
So they purposely kept a low profile throughout the War, buried their heads in the sand, and pretended that they didn’t know anything about the ongoing Holocaust of the european Jews by the european christians. And afterwards, they piously proclaimed “Jeez, if we had only known. We might have been able to do something to prevent it. But after all, who could conceive that the civilized, cultured german christians could do something like that.”
And that’s why the Israeli “Jewish” leftists are so eager to introduce “Reform Judaism” into Israel.
(Postscript: the 80% of America’s “Jews” who voted for Obama are predominantly “Reform Jews”. This is reminiscent of the story told by our Holy Rabbis, that 80% of the Jews in Egypt chose to stay there with the pagan egyptians, rather than venture out into the desert with Moshe our Teacher to receive the Holy Torah at Mount Sinai from the mouth of the Creator of the Universe.)
Well said, Canadian Otter! For all the people who pretend to know Rabbi Kahane and berate him without having heard him speak, please listen to his message, it is just as or more relevant today as it was back then.
I did not start out activism thinking that I’d ever have to say one unkind word to my fellow Jews but, as time progressed, I realized that a growing number of them are taking the side of Hamas, Fatah, Hezbollah, Iran, the Muslim Brotherhood, etc. For example, look at this piece of crap from today’s newspaper.
Three points that have helped me understand the Holocaust. One, tribal feelings are part of human nature. Sometimes they’re harmless (as in sports, healthy nationalism) but they can reach extremes leading to violence and genocide. ~~~ Second, anti-Semitism is pathological. I’ll let philosophers dwell on it. I just know that’s a fact. It exists even in societies empty of Jews (E. Europe, Japan). ~~~ Third, indifference and passivity are also human traits. In my lifetime my part of the world did nothing about genocides in other parts of the world. Not because we’re evil, but because we’re wired to focus on our immediate circumstances. What’s not in our backyard, doesn’t matter so much. We have selfish priorities. Today our govts have diplomatic and trade relations with a certain country where peaceful dissidents are rounded up in the tens of thousands, and their organs used for medical transplant, all for big profits. ~~~ We know that millions of babies are being aborted, and if they survive late-term abortions, doctors cut their spinal cord. ~~~ We live with the knowledge of all that, and do nothing.~~~ If we want to prevent another Holocaust we must support a strong Israel – not a compliant, ingratiating, debased, and shrunk Israel. Don’t expect gentile or diaspora compassion. Don’t expect the aggressor to pause and think because genocide is evil or because you have a treaty with them. Don’t expect the USA or Canada or any other friend to help you. Israel stands alone, and the country would be so much stronger if it let go of all illusions about relying on human pity, friends’ promises, or on anyone or anything outside your borders.
