This despite the French national education system prohibits the use of any distinctive religious signs in schools and universities .
Dr Turley is a bit ignorant about France political dynamics. Macron must until may 2022 behave AS IF he has morphed into a ” right wing -patriotic leader ” . So Macron will keep a heavy posture , will play the ” Law and Order ” against muslim extremism .When the voters will go to the polling stations , they will think above all to their wallets , their jobs , their savings etc… The prospect of sending Ms Le Pen to the power is synonym with economic unrest , strikes , flight of capital , civil war with the muslim minority , etc…And the muslims voters faced with choosing between two evils will vote the lesser one; Macron . So my guess is Macron will win again , unless the terrorism rises so much that he becomes the main theme of the debate . Actually the debate is how to control the covid and how to save the economy . Islamic terrorism comes third .
