As we go to press, Strategic Threats Minister Avigdor Lieberman has issued an ultimatum to Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.
Lieberman, who heads the Yisrael Beiteinu party and is a critical part of the Olmert government, said that he is on his way to the Cabinet meeting, where he will demand an IDF ground operation to “completely destroy the Hamas.” Anything short of that, he said, would force him to lead Yisrael Beiteinu out of the government and work to bring about the end of the current government.
