Liberman: Israel-Hamas agreement would be surrender to terrorism

T. Belman. I agree. You don’t make a deal with the devil. In this case to make a deal with Hamas is to acknowledge that they forced us to deal with them.

Avigdor Liberman, Yisrael Beytenu chairman, said on Wednesday that the Israeli government would be “capitulating to terrorism” if reports that it is negotiating a five-year truce with Hamas are accurate.

In an interview with Army Radio, the former foreign minister called on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not to come to any understandings with the Hamas regime in Gaza.

“If, indeed, the government of Israel is going for a deal with Hamas, and Hamas continues to arm itself and rehabilitate its terrorist infrastructure, that is tantamount to capitulating to terrorism, and I hope that these are just media reports and not a reflection of reallity,” Liberman said.

One power play has transfixed Netanyahu’s circle: the idea that in exchange for throwing his diplomatic heft into the battle to stop a nuclear Iran, Saudi Arabia can pressure the Palestinians into dramatic concessions…………

The war may yet change their loyalties irrevocably, allowing Israel to win any future referendum on the Golan’s status — and strengthen the case that the Golan Heights should not be considered occupied territory.

  2. I do not believe these reports. Do not believe news Hamas and Quatar puts out.

Lieberman is trying to be relavant. He dropped a line yesterday for 1000 houses in Malaah Adumim he would consider joining the coalition. He is getting nervous in the political wilderness.
