Kucinich Press Release: If Resentment Grows, Peace Will be Delayed
Investigatory Hearings of Muslim Population a Step in the Wrong Direction
Washington D.C. (March 11, 2011) – Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) today made the following statement regarding the Committee on Homeland Security hearing titled “The Extent of Radicalization in the American Muslim Community and that Community’s Response.”
-
“In the nine years since the dreadful attacks on September 11th, America has sought to reconcile differences among ourselves and with the world. We have sought friendship with Muslim and Arab communities. President Obama, at the beginning of his term, traveled to the Middle East, underscoring the importance of that region.
“Despite efforts to improve relations between our nation and the Muslim and Arab world, America has stumbled. Two wars have been waged in the Middle East, further degrading our image among the world’s Muslim and Arab people.
“A Congressional hearing to investigate our friends and neighbors jeopardizes the fragile progress we have made and creates a longer gap for peace to bridge.
“This hearing insinuates that violence and the Muslim religion go hand in hand. Nothing could be further from the truth. Islam is a religion based upon peace, goodwill and the ethical treatment of all people on this planet.
“This kind of stereotyping opens the door to discrimination against the 2.5 million Muslims that live peacefully among us in the United States of America and the 1.66 billion Muslims that live throughout the world. We must not allow the acts of a few stoke the flames of xenophobia and resentment in this nation. If this resentment grows, peace will be delayed.”
Those 2.5 million Muslims may, indeed, be living peacefully … in the United States of America. But only a minuscule, infinitesimal, microscopic number of them side with the USA. Most of them remain silent, sitting on the fence, waiting to see who will be victorious, before proclaiming their “true” loyalties.
Why is it that US is incapable of learning from the sad and tragic experiences of so many countries that have allowed their Muslim populations to expand to the point where they dictate to the courts and governments and school boards and industries and businesses and religious and cultural institutions what may and may not be done – what is and is not acceptable?
Those 2.5 million must be forced, if necessary, to conform to the mores of their host countries or they must be expelled. It is now a matter of survival.
Kucinich is just Obama with his hair down. Maybe Obama is even worse. Very much the same mentality.
Mr. Von Starkermann: Where to you live? Europe?
I live in Ohio. I can tell you that Cleveland – where Kucinich is from – is not home to a large Moslem community. There are some there, but they would not be decisive in an election.
Even if there were a large Moslem community there, that would be no excuse.
During the 1930s, there was an organization here in the U.S. called the German-American Bund. They were funded by Nazi Germany, and their purpose was to engage the German-American community here – at that time estimated as being as many as 40-million strong – in promoting American neutrality vis-a-vis Europe, and perhaps even convincing the rest of the country to side with Nazi Germany.
Sound familiar? Kind of like the role played by MB-affiliated Moslem groups here today, like CAIR, among many others.
At their height, the Bund could only claim about 40.000 members nationwide, and that was by their own figures, which were likely inflated.
To their credit, German Americans – the second largest ethnic affiliation in the U.S. – rejected Nazism entirely, and dutifully fought Nazi Germany when asked to do so.
Can the same be said for many Moslems here today?
Bottom line: There is NO excuse for appeasing Islamists, period.
Kucinich is a delusional, anti-American left-wing twit. I don’t know why he keeps getting voted back in by his district, except maybe he brings a lot of pork back. Yet Cleveland is among the most impoverished major American metropolitan areas. He is sure doing them a lot of good…..
Kucinch obviously suffers from mental illness. He is the poster boy for limiting which US citizens should have the right to vote.
In this world, follow the money. In the US, Canada, EU, Israel and Japan, etc.. everything comes down to salaries and pensions. But it is all temporary. Kucinich is an anti American anti West idiot who will go down in flames. He will do his best to drag all of us down there, too.
Votes = Salary = Pension. But it is all temporary because we and the next generations cannot afford it. We will move and take what we can with us. We will hide our money better from the govt. Companies will go off shore.
The laws of economics will take over. I am planning my way. Are you?
“What should Kucinich have said?” Mr von Starkerman? He could have told the TRUTH!! But I forget — democrats and liberals don’t know HOW to tell the truth! Islam is NOT a religion of peace. Islams’ primary objective is global conquest! They even have a word for deceiving their enemies. It is takiya (sp?) For them deception is not immoral. One cannot believe a word any muslim says but Kucinich is apparently afraid of losing his head to a ‘peaceful’ muslim so he does not tell the truth. Maybe when a ‘peaceful’ muslim blows up the capitol building, he’ll regret being so blind to the truth!!
There are lots of Muslims living in Ohio and they vote. What should have Kucinich have said?
Kucinich has the typical problem of humans who see things in black or white. He conflates Islam with Muslims in precisely the same way the believing Muslims do so. It is for this reason that he is naive to the point of self-destruction – and our destruction as well. It is Islam that corrupts, so those of Muslim origin who distance themselves from the xenophobic precepts of Islam are more easily trusted to integrate into American life. Poor thinking does not lead to solutions. Kucinich has nothing to offer.
Could Kucinich possibly be more delusional.
