I have to admit that I am greatly impressed with each of Clarfield’s discussions and I find this one no less revealing. His recognition that the Abraham Accords could be used as a tool to expose and resolve the conflicting narratives between the Arabs and Jews and Christians is a remarkable conclusion. Of course, nothing so important as peace between these peoples could be solve without a careful deliberative process but the Abraham Accords do present a unique opportunity to resolve the dueling narratives that have been used to foster the hatred from one generation to the next. In fact, for the Abraham Accords to actually succeed in their designs towards achieving a lasting piece, it is not only an opportunity of the Accords to break this cycle of hate, it is an inherent responsibility for them to find the means to do so.
