The Biden administration’s refusal to acknowledge the relevance of natural immunity in the fight against COVID-19 has become glaring.
Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine professor Dr. Marty Makary appeared as a guest on Thursday’s edition of “Morning Wire,” a podcast hosted by The Daily Wire.
“The data on natural immunity are now overwhelming,” Makary told the Morning Wire. “It turns out the hypothesis that our public health leaders had that vaccinated immunity is better and stronger than natural immunity was wrong. They got it backwards. And now we’ve got data from Israel showing that natural immunity is 27 times more effective than vaccinated immunity. And that supports 15 other studies.”
Despised by the left for his criticism of the vaccine mandate, Makary finds it bizarre that natural immunity is not seen as legitimate in the eyes of the U.S. government.
“It’s ruining the lives of people who are getting fired,” he said. “Nurses, who are heroes, are now getting laid off. Soldiers are getting dishonorably discharged. They’ve got immunity. It’s just not the type that our public health officials have sanctioned.”
“This is a failure of government, not a failure of science,” he declared. “But how about some flexibility? How about recognizing natural immunity and allowing those who have circulating antibodies to get credit? That’s how they do it in parts of Europe, and that’s how they do it in Israel.”
Makary said the recent drop-off in COVID cases can be attributed to both the tens of millions of Americans who have already had the virus and those who have been vaccinated.
The government refuses to acknowledge that the natural immunity acquired from having had COVID has played any role at all in moving us closer and faster to the desired goal of herd immunity. Makary is essentially saying natural immunity has played an enormous role.
This point is compelling and has been underreported.
“That decline [in new cases of COVID] is really natural immunity kicking in,” Makary explained. “What we’re seeing is that when a very few people in a population are susceptible, that is almost everybody has either had COVID or the vaccine. You do see this rapid decline. It’s basically a part of herd immunity kicking in.”
He believes “we’re done with the surges. What we may see is bumping cases, seasonally, depending on pockets of the country where there’s low immunity rates. And remember: breakthrough infections are real. They will happen, but they have downgraded COVID from a major public health threat to a mild, common, cold-like illness.”
Makary feels that the vaccines are safe and that complications are “exceedingly rare.” I know a few people who might disagree with that assessment.
At any rate, Makary told the Morning Wire, “When I talked to doctors nationwide, it’s pretty clear that the vaccine-related complications are exceedingly rare and the vaccines we have are safer than any other vaccine we’ve ever had in the past. And I think if you if you’re on the fence about getting vaccinated, you want to do it right now, like today, because we are getting to a point where it’s so contagious, it’s ripping through the population pretty quickly.”
The consequences of the government’s rejection of natural immunity as a valid reason to skip the vaccine have become apparent throughout the country, particularly in the health care industry and at all levels of law enforcement.
Democrats pushing Biden’s misguided blanket vaccine mandate all parrot the same old tired line: “We follow the science.” That’s nonsense. It has nothing to do with science and everything to do with politics — the politics of power and control.
In a September Op-Ed published in The Washington Post, Makary wrote, “It’s okay to have an incorrect scientific hypothesis. But when new data proves it wrong, you have to adapt. Unfortunately, many elected leaders and public health officials have held on far too long to the hypothesis that natural immunity offers unreliable protection against COVID-19 — a contention that is being rapidly debunked by science.”
Makary argued that over 15 studies have confirmed the power of natural immunity.
He cited the recent 700,000-person Israeli study which found that those who had recovered from COVID “were 27 times less likely to get a second symptomatic COVID infection than those who were vaccinated.”
The results of the Israeli study, Makary wrote, confirmed the findings of a Cleveland Clinic study released in June. None of the health care workers who had previously contracted the virus were reinfected. The research team concluded that “individuals who have had SARS-CoV-2 infection are unlikely to benefit from COVID-19 vaccination.”
And the Cleveland Clinic’s results, he noted, affirmed the conclusions of a Washington University study conducted in May, which “found that even a mild COVID infection resulted in long-lasting immunity.”
Maybe it’s time for the Biden administration to take politics out of it and actually look at the science.

My heart doesn’t bleed for the doctors and the hospitals – they deserve everything that is coming to them because they abandoned their duty to their patients, i.e., they refused to treat them on the orders of the health department bureaucrats.
This is a crime and they deserve to be punished for it.
The system in its current setup no longer works for the benefit of the patients.
If the medical personnel want to earn their living, they will have to do it some other way than being funded by the “corrupt” government – maybe they should even resume making house calls, God forbid, if they want to make a living!

If someone has a wonderful doctor – let them continue as before, however, it would be safe to assume that most American doctors (the GPs at least) are thoroughly incompetent and unethical and it is better for your health to keep away from them unless it is something like a broken leg or a heart attack, etc.
Avoiding the fake tests and the dangerous vaccines protects everyone’s health rather than endangers it and shows the PTB that the public will not cooperate.
The videos of the so-called demonstrations only serve to scare the public by showing them what will happen if they dare to take to the streets.
The only thing that will work is the lawful non-compliance.
They are giving you a choice – vaccinate or limit your life’s pleasures which serve as a bait for you like for a mouse in a mouse trap.
So you have to decide are you a man or a mouse which lunges at a piece of cheese in a mouse trap.
Is it illegal for you to refuse to go to restaurants, movies, etc. for any reason? No.
Is a cop going to come to your home and forcibly drag you to a restaurant or to a gym if you don’t want to go? No.
Can anybody force you to get a plane ticket rather than drive your own car? No.
You are not breaking any laws and no one is breaking your ribs but you are not complying with their tyranny.
Feeling sorry for the poor, innocent medical workers will only make things worse for everybody.

Specifically, the medical sit-outs, ie avoiding elective medical events, is a very poor strategy which, unfortunately, has been largely in effect since the beginning of the outbreak in early 2020. The result of this is reduced general wellfare testing and reduced economic reliance of the medical institutions on the public. The consequences of these matters will be an uptick in medical crises for which the general public will, themselves, alone suffer. Additionally, this will result in a greater level of financial desperation of the the hospitals upon the govt subsidies from the CARES Act and other such politically managed mass payouts to the hospitals based upon managed quotas required in order to receive the funds that literally paid to keep both the lights on in the hospitals as well as to have their medical staff present to dance around like idiots, even while they had no patients for which to care. The reduced medical care and the reduce were each an equal share of nightmares for which I think play no benefit to the goal you hope to achieve. People should never have medical benefits withheld from them, not by a govt, not by a physician, and not by themselves. It is not in their interests to so risk their health nor to risk a sense of control about their healthcare. Unfortunately, as I say, this has already been accomplished.
Intentionally pursuing these matters further will leave the public unhealthy and the hospitals exclusively funded by govts which have displayed the greatest level of mismanagement possible with this medical nightmare that they have ignored while employing forced medical malpractice of non-treatment with available drugs to advantage and expedite their prescribed medical solution. As the govt controls the majority of medical payouts in the form of medicare and medicaid, the public’s medical sit-out will only complete the centralized control of medicine as the smaller clinics will continue to fail. The captured status of the medical community must be pushed back not reinforced. Employ elective procedures to pursue your health at clinics** who will treat your medical concerns as concerning and treat your disease situations as treatable. This is a wiser route toward beating back a medical tyranny that is well established and ever encroaching upon a complete state of control of the public’s collective health.

Very good news on Indonesia.
I can appreciate your views on elective doctor visits. I still believe it is important to demonstrate, as in Rome, Australia, Tel Aviv and New York, to the medical staffers, and the politicians alike, that their moves to support and manage this medical tyranny are not accepted by the public. Such peaceful activities are the only manner in which a public can inform the govt of their inter-election period opinions. It is also important to display to the medical staff who might actually join the resistance to these medical tyrannies and help end this pandemic. People are coming to see the exposed realities and the dire implications such realities have, not just for the future harms, but also for the past deaths. Too many lies, too many deaths and too many facts are now well established to ever place this genie back in the bottle. The govt must be made to realize that their charade is well revealed. The physicians must be made to know that they will be supported by doing as their conscience and oath each dictate. So peaceful public demonstrations are not a walk in the park, or a day at the beach festivity. It is a serious moment in which they face a serious and potential harm by an ever growing totalitarian spirit among the democracies of the world. Even so, these protests provide a public voice and a measured benefit that will never be solved by conducting a medical sit-out as you suggest.

Anyone who wants to stop this COVID insanity must:
1) avoid testing;
2) avoid vaccination;
3) avoid elective doctor’s visits
even if disrupts the functioning of the society for a while.
Even if various venues, schools, hospitals, and airports have to stay empty, even if public transportation has to stop.
This is what civil disobedience is – not some “peaceful demonstrations of hundreds of people” which only serve to provide lots of fun for the police and the politicians and to hurt the protesters.
Otherwise the enslavement will proceed unimpeded and will become irreversible.

If there is to be no support of logical treatments, your words provide a strength of reason and rationale that should actually be drawn to the full extent of the logic that supports it.
If there is to be an immunological requirement to gain ready access to trade, business and education, the discriminating factor should be immunity, always immunity and only immunity. The source of immunity is unimportant, which I think was your point, but the greater point to be had is not only that immunity is to be had amongst the unvaccinated, but also that it is to be found amongst the vaccinated as well. In fact, there are many among the vaccinated that are likely Covid recovered, just as there are those amongst the vaccinated that will be susceptible to disease. If they have 1 shot, 2 shots or 3 shots, no one can tell you they know who is immune and who is not. So if there is a need to screen any, there is a need to screen all. We know the Covid naive are susceptible to the virus. We also know that the vaccinated are susceptible in some measure and some number. There are in fact people among the dead who have had three shots. So, with this in mind, public health must not be distracted with segregating and separate testing regimens while discerning those among the unvaccinated have immunity alone, but those impervious to disease among the entire public. If this over-reaching, in my opinion, policy of proof of immunity is to be required of one possibly susceptible member of society, it should be required of all possibly susceptible members. To do this it must be required of each member of society. This should conducted because it is the only way to make logical sense out of the testing policy as you suggest.
Further than this though, testing the general public will re-instill a recognition that the testing is for the good of the general public and a sense of solidarity among men of all professions, all ages and all vaccine statuses should endure the difficulties of resolving this matter together – for that is the only way the state can actually survive these hardships, that is, together. Working together, enduring the hardships together and pursuing the solutions together. This too makes logical sense of another problem created by this viral nightmare, that of division which will too easily destroy the Jewish state from within, as has happened before. So make a policy of that both unites the nation and protects the vulnerable, or let each man become responsible for his own health and well being as we have always done in the past.
Clearly the powers to be who are setting up Green Passes must incorporate natural immunity into their passes to make them make any logical sense.

That is a good question and it is very rarely discussed.
They actually do have tests for this. The tests have variable degrees of accuracy for both positive and negative results, depending upon the test used by the lab you choose. An infection from the SARS-Cov2 virus stimulates the immune system to create antibodies to all parts of the virus. So you can contact a local lab, have some blood drawn and they can check to see if you have antibodies present in your blood. The downside to testing for antibodies is that the circulating levels drop over time, and if you have a concentration of 10ug/ml of antibodies, but the test only detects levels over 20ug/ml(I made these numbers up for demonstration only), it will show you don’t have any…ie false negative. If insurance or the govt won’t cover the cost, it should be somewhere in the range of between $150-300 for the whole thing, probably towards the cheaper side of that costs range, though.
There is also a saliva or nasal antibody test, or they had them last year. They are less reliable than the blood test, but perhaps a bit cheaper. The blood test will show the presence of antibodies for a longer period of time than the saliva/nasal tests, so I would go with the blood test, myself.
Also, if you have had the genetic-vaccine, you can test for antibodies to natural infection. The genetic-vaccines only create immunity to the spike protein. So testing for antibodies to the S-protein will not tell you if you have had a natural infection, if you have been vaccinated. So, if you have been vaccinated, you need to check for antibodies to one of the other proteins, E-protein(viral envelop), N-protein(nuclear capsid), or M-protein(viral membrane). How does one know if one has “Natural Immunity”. I have seen no tests for it, yet they have data, but don’t spell it out.

Dr. Makary is an interesting person. He supports involving the natural immunity into the virus equation as he rushes everyone to be vaccinated, and simultaneously never mentions a word about treatment options for either the people resistant to his vaccination calls or those who follow his advice. The complication in his comments, here, is that to obtain the natural immunity, you must survive the disease. Most all of us will do so without any medical intervention as 99.97% of people who are unvaccinated will survive the virus. Silence on early treatment most impairs the 0.03% of the population including the medically compromised, the elderly and the obese, and by impairs i mean that it sends them, invariably, to a certain and difficult death. This non-intervention form of medical intervention, is, however, not the intended use of a doctor visit.
We don’t go to a doctor so we can be told to go home and survive a disease as best we can without medical treatment that is readily available. This is criminal, whether the patient survives, and particularly if they do not. Doctor owe their patients the best medical intervention possible. If a physician diagnosed a patient with diffuse pneumonia and told them to go home and come back when they couldn’t breathe, they could lose their license. So, while I am glad he can read the data which shows that those who survive the disease have a durable immunity and he still ignores the thousands of deaths/vaccine injuries as significant, he really should pursue the push to treat the ill with rational, safe and effective medications, and by the ill I am referring to the vaccinated and unvaccinated alike, as both groups will suffer and may die without the use of early treatments. Still, as I say, I do find him to be an interesting person and to a point he has ignored the great halls of power even to state the obvious nature that immunity to every part of the vaccine is greater to immunity to just a single part of the virus.
