John Bolton on Iraq, Syria and ISIS

BOLTONOn Fox this week: Ambassador John Bolton gave the best analysis of the situation in the Middle East. He said logically, if we believe ISIS is a mortal threat to the U.S., then ISIS must be destroyed as quickly as possible, because the longer we wait, the more difficult and costly it will be.

Secondly, he said it is ridiculous to rely on a coalition, to assume other fighters will do the fighting for us. He said the Free Syrian Army will never be capable of defeating ISIS. He said the same is true of the failed Iraqi Army, and the Kurds. Essentially, he said the only rational solution is to put American troops on the ground in such size and force as to rapidly destroy ISIS in both Syria and Iraq.

The long term solution, according to Bolton, is to focus on Iran, the potential nuclear threat and the central broker of terrorism worldwide. In all this he said Obama has no rational plan to deal with either ISIS or Iran, and to pretend otherwise is to put Americans at tremendous risk of injury, death, and even defeat.

Bolton said further, if ISIS is not a mortal threat to us, then fighting ISIS is not worth one American life. In that case, logically, it makes sense to support whomever with airstrikes, and tell everyone in the region, you put boots on the ground.

For my part, whether ISIS is a threat to us or not, we have a moral obligation for at least two reasons: we owe it to the Iraqi people since we invaded in 2003, and, ISIS murders women and children by the thousands, even beheading little kids. For this alone, ISIS deserves utter destruction, and America is the only player at present with the ability to do the job.

Our military men and women and our citizens certainly have the will. Unfortunately, we have a leader with no guts, no vision, and no sense of moral obligation.

  6. First time I fought a southpaw I stepped to his inside. Went down three times in the first round. TKO for the other guy. Television crew said, “We didn’t need much tape for this fight.” Funny for them, but not for me.

    My oldest son is a heavyweight fighter (on summer holidays at the moment). I trained him especially so this would never happen to him. It hasn’t. He’s got an over-hand right like an 8 lb. maul.

    Threw that in for two reasons:
    Much or most of the facts he presented are accurate and to show how these christians are working overtime to steal the Jewish identity from us.

    My advice is to stay as liquid as possible and don’t keep any money or assets where the government can’t get at it. Hunker down hope for the best but prepare for the worst.

    Note I don’t believe Israel is either the primary or even first or second target of the whackos and that includes Iran.

    If I’m wrong you won’t lose anything but if I am right you might come out smelling like roses.

    Think like we will need food,water and shelter but not I-phones to survive and we will need dentists. What are the folks going to do go to their local barber from extractions like in the old days? Lawyers will not be so lucky. 🙂

    In Biblical times if yoou don’t plant there will be no harvest and people will starve to death. Here the commandment is the 7th year no plaanting or harvesting and planting in the eighth year means that there will be two years before a harvest.

    Need to learn to keep everything in perspective, not that I don’t share your anger and frustration. I believe what is soon to materialize is bigger than BB or any other political pygmy either here or there.

    This is shnat shmitta and things happen; big-things, historic things and even world changing things. My inner gut tells me that 5775 will be a world changer and WE in Israel will be in the center of it all.

    Nuclear Iran, the ever present mortal danger, is obviously not impressed by a session of crayon drawings at the UN and no country is willing to lift a finger to help the Jews (perhaps the middle one, but that’s the extent of help from the ‘outside’).
    He understands that “if I am not for myself, who is for me… And if not now, then WHEN????”
