Jewish groups call on Trump to fire Senior Advisor Stephen Miller

T. Belman. I totally agree with Miller on this and he totally agrees with Trump on this. His views on immigration are not extreme nor racist. They are common sense as for what is best for Americans.

Liberal groups pen letter claiming Jewish policy advisor holds “extreme viewpoints” and promotes “advocacy of racist policies.”

Stephen Miller
Seventeen Jewish groups, including the left-leaning J Street, called on the White House to dismiss Stephen Miller as senior policy adviser.

The organizations, including American Jewish World Service, Americans for Peace Now and T’ruah: The Rabbinic Call for Human Rights, issued the call in an open letter they sent Thursday to the White House chief of staff, Gen. John Kelly. The letter was spearheaded by the National Council of Jewish Women.

The co-authors wrote that Miller, who favors an immigration reform he said would benefit applicants who would assimilate more easily into American society than others, has “extreme viewpoints and advocacy of racist policies.”

“As Jews, we are in solidarity with immigrants and refugees and believe that our nation must be a refuge and welcoming home for new Americans,” they wrote. Miller “has been an obstacle to passing widely-supported, bipartisan, popular, badly-needed immigration policy changes throughout his time in the administration.”

Miller, the authors added, was “the architect” of two executive measures limiting admission into the United States from Iran, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Somalia, Chad and North Korea, as well as some Venezuelan officials. Federal judges issued separate temporary restraining orders on those measures.

“He orchestrated cuts to the refugee program, resulting in the lowest admissions number in modern history during the worst refugee crisis since World War II,” the co-authors wrote.

“Stephen Miller opposes the beliefs we hold dear, and while he advises President Trump there will be no forward movement on immigration — to the detriment of this great nation founded by immigrants. We urge you to remove Miller from your team and the White House as soon as possible” the letter reads.

Last month, Miller said his plans for a new immigration policy mean “more assimilation, higher wages, more economic opportunity and better prospects for immigrants and U.S.-born alike.”

In an interview on Fox News, Miller pushed the White House message on immigration reform, calling for a border wall and an end to “chain” migration, the process by which an immigrant can petition to bring family members to the United States, as well as the adjustment of the country’s visa lottery system.

“If Democrats oppose a border,” he said, “they are just saying they want continued, unending illegal immigration.”

  1. Miller is on the mark. It seems logical that the USA would bring in people with the skill sets they need in lieu of more manual labor that just depresses the salaries of the working class in the USA. The US had millions of open jobs they can not fill for lack of people with those skills. Training and skilled educated immigrants would be the logical choice to progress.

  2. @ LtCol Howard:

If they could not only stand fo, but vote for, Schumer, Nadler, and Wexler for so many long years, they could stand for Idi Amin becoming a Rabbi and they’d flock to his sermons.

  3. I am amazed that the American Jewish community tolerates Rabbi Rick Jacobs, Rabbi John Rosove, representative Adam Schiff, Jonathan Greenblatt .

  4. @ Sebastien Zorn:

Let them spout. It proves Jewish diversity is alive and not well.
The fact that AmericanJewish woman and their milk toast male counterparts, are so supportive of this position reinforces an ugly truth. Aside from my own mother, I can not stand them. Has it gotten worse. What a collection of dreck.

  5. Same deal in Israel.

The Israeli left has discovered a new cause
The prospect of Africans returning to Africa strikes Left-wing critics of Israeli policy as inhumane and cruel.

Even besides their support for TSS. That’s why it is crucial that Israel ignore American Jewish demands to have a say in Israeli policies about anything. Who cares if they are upset? They are not doing anything for Israel that Israeli Jews need or have any reason to be grateful for and they mostly don’t live in or even visit Israel. It’s enough that they have the right of return. That’s the only thing diaspora Jews have a right to expect.

  6. It seems pretty clear that Trump does not value the opinion of the signatories to the letter.
It is most probable that the signatories to the letter know this.
Question: So what is the purpose of the letter?
Possible answer: To show the leaders of the Democrats that they are strongly on their side.
Who said about whom: “You are on the wrong side of History”?
