JCPOA 2.0 – The Witkoff Surrenders Continue

Peloni:  Major Update:   In the aftermath of Witkoff’s statement of capitulating to Iran maintaining a nuclear program, Witkoff, the State Dept and the White House have all made statements making it clear that Trump’s position on eliminating Iran’s entire nuclear program is unchanged.

Peloni:  And just like that, Qatari allied Witkoff walks back Trump’s requirement of full dismantlement of Iran’s nuclear program after just the first meet and greet with Iran.   This is a huge scale-back of previous statements made by Trump himself which demanded Iran have no nuclear program.

  1. Iran Talks Hit Impasse as Regime Says Nuclear Enrichment ‘Non-Negotiable’

Proper response is bombing Iran’s nuclear facilities, missile sites, and leadership sites of Mullah’s and IRGC.

  2. With all the Witkoff fuss, I see that he’s just demanded of Iran to totally dismantle their nuclear facilities. That NO nuclear capability must remain with Iran……………………..

So you guys can now jump on someone else..

  3. In the aftermath of Witkoff’s statement of capitulating to Iran maintaining a nuclear program, Witkoff, the State Dept and the White House have all made statements making it clear that Trump’s position on eliminating Iran’s entire nuclear program is unchanged.  Trump needs fire Witkoff.   This debacle of misstating the US position betrays the very real reality that correctly broaching the US position is Witkoff’s only purpose in his role as the US Middle East Envoy.  Indeed, his statements have only served to embolden the Iranians, while portraying the resolve and consistency of the US on this point as being inconsistent at best.

  4. Major Update:

White House Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff has now walked back his comments last night on Fox News that described a conceptual Iran proposal eerily reminiscent of the failed Obama-era JCPOA (Iran Deal) framework. About an hour ago, Ambassador Witkoff returned to the Trump administration’s previous sentiments on the process, saying that “Iran must stop and eliminate its nuclear enrichment and weaponization program.”

    Also:

Following White House Special Envoy Steve Witkoff’s statements on Iran and the subsequent reaction, White House and State Department officials just held two back-to-back pressers where they reiterated U.S. President Donald J. Trump’s stance calling for a total end to Iran’s nuclear process. Both White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt and State Department Spokesperson Tammy Bruce again confirmed that a second round of talks, attended by U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff and Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araqchi, will take place on Saturday in Rome, Italy. While the willingness to negotiate was still communicated by both U.S. officials, both called for the total end to all Iranian enrichment processes and their wider nuclear program.

  5. Anyone read ‘The Art of the Deal’? If so, this is just what you would expect. A lot of bragging, hot-air demands and then a sell-out. This farce of a negotiation is led by Steve Witkoff, who admitted that Hamas had duped him. Just think of what the Iranians are about to do to this witless fraud.

Anyone heard of the hostages lately? And remember what was going to happen if all of them weren’t released by noon on a specific Saturday? Hamas was to be bombed to hell. Last time I looked, no bombs, but hell is continuing for the hostages.

Once again, I shall repeat de Gaulle’s words: ‘Nations do not have friends; just interests’. And the sooner that the Israeli politicians think of what this means, the safer Israel will be.

  6. Placing a red line and not following through is what Obama did. This is just going to make Trump look weak and our country more endangered.
