Exactly. And this is a problem with the Jordanians, too, since two-thirds of them believe themselves to be Palestinians, listen to Hamas TV shows, etc.
Palestinians can not be relied upon to come to the table and bring the populace behind any deal that Israel would agree to. They have a whole society who wants to bring Israel down and not live side by side in normalized co-existence and peace.
Both the Mexicans and Canadians credit Kushner for making the new trade deal happen. Without his negotiating skill and personality it might not have happen.
This was a good look at the “invisivle genius”. He is a pragmatist, not a visionary — the opposite of Steve Bannon. I think he is more likely than anyone before him, to pull off a ME peace deal.
One note on the optics: When will the media realize that black people look different from white people? It is not technically difficult, to increase the brightness when filming black people, and to turn it down for white people. As it is, white people show up fine; but black people disappear into the shadows.
I also watched Ivanka do her stuff in a WH briefing on a subject she was responsible for and was equally impressed, if not more so.
