Eden Atias, z”l. Murdered by an Arab terrorist.
Yet another Israeli Jew was murdered today by a Palestinian terrorist. Eden Atias was stabbed to death while he slept on a bus near the Afula bus station.
Security guards stopped the assailant, Hussein Jawadra, a 16-year-old Palestinian from Jenin who is residing in Israel illegally, and turned him over to security forces. Jawadra’s two cousins are both held in Israel. One of them was sentenced to three life sentences for the murder of two Israelis and for several counts of attempted murder. The other was jailed for 12 years for attempted murder.
Another news report tells us that
Northern District Police Commander Maj. Gen. Roni Atiya told Army Radio that the teen confessed to the act, saying he sought to avenge relatives who are imprisoned in Israel. “He told us he left his house this morning with a clear intent to harm Israelis because his uncles are jailed in Israel,” Atiya said.
MK Tzipi Hotovely (Likud) blamed the continuous incitement by the Palestinian Authority:
Abu Mazen [Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas] is fostering an indirect tactic of harming Israel. The killing of Jews is no longer perpetrated by the PA’s branches but by the ‘Palestinian street,’ which is fed, daily, by anti-Israeli propaganda. We cannot continue to negotiate peace when the PA clearly pursues terror.
And Meir Indor of the Almagor Terror Victims Association said,
the hand that held the knife today may have been that of a Palestinian teenager, but he was sent by Abu Mazen and his associates in the PA, who offer released murderers a hero’s welcome in Ramallah. By doing that they are raising another generation of young killers who grow up hoping to become Palestinian heroes.
Palestinian Arabs are doing their best to kill Jews every day, throwing rocks and firebombs or shooting and stabbing. The 16-year-old murderer in this case is following a family tradition, or should I say, a national one. I would go farther than Hotovely and Indor and say that Abbas and other PA officials responsible for creating these killers are themselves guilty of murder, and should be treated appropriately.
What every organ of the PA, media, schools, mosques, etc. are telling them is that the Jews stole their country and their honor, all their land is ‘occupied’, and that any action against occupiers is justified. Their greatest heroes are terrorists and the greatest honor is to become a martyr for the Palestinian cause.
Somehow, despite the fact that war is being waged against Israel, the nation is expected to respond by voluntarily giving up critical strategic ground to their enemy. This is supposedly the responsible, moral thing to do.
It is not. Suicide is not responsible or moral. I believe that it is time for Israel to say to the world “it’s over.”
The results of the Oslo experiment — which, in the best interpretation, was intended to test if the PLO could be serious about peace — are in: the PLO is a murderous terrorist gang which has never wavered from the vision of Yasser Arafat. It remains faithful to the PLO Charter:
Article 9: Armed struggle is the only way to liberate Palestine. Thus it is the overall strategy, not merely a tactical phase. The Palestinian Arab people assert their absolute determination and firm resolution to continue their armed struggle and to work for an armed popular revolution for the liberation of their country and their return to it. They also assert their right to normal life in Palestine and to exercise their right to self-determination and sovereignty over it.
Article 10: Commando action constitutes the nucleus of the Palestinian popular liberation war. This requires its escalation, comprehensiveness, and the mobilization of all the Palestinian popular and educational efforts and their organization and involvement in the armed Palestinian revolution. It also requires the achieving of unity for the national (watani) struggle among the different groupings of the Palestinian people, and between the Palestinian people and the Arab masses, so as to secure the continuation of the revolution, its escalation, and victory.
This charter was never revoked, and Arafat and his successors have not abandoned it.
“It’s over” means that the Oslo process, which granted the PLO authority to form the PA is over, and the Oslo Accords are dead. The PLO abrogated them in any event by applying for statehood at the UN, and now it must (finally) be recognized that it did so by making war, both in 2000 and today.
It means that the so-called ‘peace’ negotiations with the PLO are ended, and the ideas that have been promulgated in opposition to international law — that the 1949 armistice lines are borders, or that the ‘Palestinian people’ have national rights west of the Jordan, or that Jewish settlements outside the Green line are not entirely legitimate — are repudiated.
It means that the PLO is a terrorist organization, and should be treated as such.
It means that PLO/PA security forces can be disarmed. Terrorists — even (especially) PLO/PA leaders — can be expelled. Perhaps the Arab nations and EU that have been so concerned for the Palestinian Arabs will give them a home.
Israel can’t afford to any longer.

Why Do People Hate The Jews?
Why has anti-Semitism been so pervasive in so many countries, in so many time periods and for so many reasons? (One begins to wonder. Perhaps there is something wrong with the Jews and Judaism? After all, there is an old Yiddish saying — “If one person calls you a donkey, ignore him; if two people call you a donkey, buy a saddle.”)
Between the years 250 CE and 1948 CE – a period of 1,700 years – Jews have experienced more than eighty expulsions from various countries in Europe – an average of nearly one expulsion every twenty-one years. Jews were expelled from England, France, Austria, Germany, Lithuania, Spain, Portugal, Bohemia, Moravia and seventy-one other countries.
Historians have classified six explanations as to why people hate the Jews:
Economic — “We hate Jews because they possess too much wealth and power.”
Chosen People — “We hate Jews because they arrogantly claim that they are the chosen people.”
Scapegoat — “Jews are a convenient group to single out and blame for our troubles.”
Deicide — “We hate Jews because they killed Jesus.”
Outsiders, — “We hate Jews because they are different than us.” (The dislike of the unlike.)
Racial Theory — “We hate Jews because they are an inferior race.”
As we examine the explanations, we must ask — Are they the causes for anti-Semitism or excuses for Anti-Semitism? The difference? If one takes away the cause, then anti-Semitism should no longer exist. If one can show a contradiction to the explanation, it demonstrates that the “cause” is not a reason, it is just an excuse. Let’s look at some contradictions:
Economic — The Jews of 17th- 20th century Poland and Russia were dirt poor, had no influence and yet they were hated.
Chosen People — a) In the late 19th century, the Jews of Germany denied “Choseness.” And then they worked on assimilation. Yet, the holocaust started there. b) Christians and Moslems profess to being the “Chosen people,” yet, the world and the anti-Semites tolerate them.
Scapegoat — Any group must already be hated to be an effective scapegoat. The Scapegoat Theory does not then cause anti-Semitism. Rather, anti-Semitism is what makes the Jews a convenient scapegoat target. Hitler’s ranting and ravings would not be taken seriously if he said, “It’s the bicycle riders and the midgets who are destroying our society.”
Deicide — a) the Christian Bible says the Romans killed Jesus, though Jews are mentioned as accomplices (claims that Jews killed Jesus came several hundred years later). How come the accomplices are persecuted and there isn’t an anti-Roman movement through history? b) Jesus himself said, “Forgive them [i.e., the Jews], for they know not what they do.” The Second Vatican Council in 1963 officially exonerated the Jews as the killers of Jesus. Neither statement of Christian belief lessened anti-Semitism.
Outsiders — With the Enlightenment in the late 18th century, many Jews rushed to assimilate. Anti-Semitism should have stopped. Instead, for example, with the Nazis came the cry, in essence: “We hate you, not because you’re different, but because you’re trying to become like us! We cannot allow you to infect the Aryan race with your inferior genes.”
Racial Theory — The overriding problem with this theory is that it is self-contradictory: Jews are not a race. Anyone can become a Jew – and members of every race, creed and color in the world have done so at one time or another.
Every other hated group is hated for a relatively defined reason. We Jews, however, are hated in paradoxes: Jews are hated for being a lazy and inferior race – but also for dominating the economy and taking over the world. We are hated for stubbornly maintaining our separateness – and, when we do assimilate – for posing a threat to racial purity through intermarriages. We are seen as pacifists and as warmongers; as capitalist exploiters and as revolutionary communists; possessed of a Chosen-People mentality, as well as of an inferiority complex. It seems that we just can’t win.
Now we know what are NOT the reasons for anti-Semitism.

Anti Semitism today indicates the extent of its’ own irrationality. Upon examination Jews can see that the rational, secular, scientific Europeans have been pursuing a clandestine war upon the Jews even after the holocaust and Christianity. The search for rational explanations for anti semitism has encountered a dead-end. Jews searched in order to end it, they thought marxism and the removal of religion is russia could help. They found that was wrong also. There is no rational explanation for the behavior of European antisemitism: it is obsessive, it is rabid, it searches for every possible rationalization for its pathology, it incites the muslims clandestinely and now overtly because it was reigned in from doing its own dirty work. Something is very wrong and it appears to originate and be propagated from europe. In the absence of any apparent rational explanation one must consider to think out of the box, when scientifically inducing theory. Yamits biblical argument presented formerly of the perennial nature of Esau against Israel and Esau incitement of Ishmael may be something to consider scientifically where no other rational and complete explanation has presented itself. The biblical argument appears simplistic and therefore becomes ignored in a “modern scientific world”. However, that simplicity may have been constructed for simple minds.
Here is a possible scientific rational explanation based on current science that can present the biblical argument with the addition of current knowledge:
The method of perennial inherited traits is through DNA; it has been proven that DNA can be altered by environment; it has been proven that propensity to disease can be transmitted generationally (perennially) through DNA. It has also been proven that there are chemical/hormonal characteristics related to emotions. Emotions can drive individuals to behave “irrationally”(or without apparent knowledge of it’s causes). There is nothing in DNA science which precludes the possibility that a propensity towards certain specific emotional behavior cannot be transmitted by DNA. Perhaps the bible is a more technical manual than thought, presented in simple language thousands of years ago. It is unscientific to exclude potential theories simply because ones current knowledge capacity is incapable of the comprehension. Capitalism is not a sufficient explanation of anti semitism. What is going on today is like the behavior of a rabid dog pretending at rational behavior. I am not saying the explanation is necessarily correct but that it would be folly to exclude directions pointed out by the bible. After all, the current big bang theory is closer to the bible than the prior theories of the universes origins: science conferred credibility on the bible. It took thousands of years of rationalization before Ptolemaic astronomy was reconsidered. Are you aware of the experiment in quantum physics which indicates that present choices can effect HISTORY? He understands nothing about Jewish existence, and he understands nothing about Jewish morality. How could he? He condemns the former as being “wicked” and the latter as having no relevance in the present world. What strikes me as so abysmal about the above Klein correct and valuable analysis
1. There is nothing hidden. It is all out in the open. The reality that the US and Europe back Antisemitism, and Antisemites.
2. That the Media above all distorts and hides this reality of the Antisemitism of US and Europe by one strategy above all others…I could call this either silence by the Media like the BBC which is the expert Antisemite on the planet, or by selective reporting, or straight bias.

There is the basis here for a massive movement to defeat this Antisemitism but it needs a leadership which does not originate in Judaism. I defend Judaism but it is like a rabbit caught in the headlights.
