  1. She never should have negotiated; she should have given an ultimatum early and cleared them by force if necessary. Sad for me to criticize her. I was a big fan of her father, who was one of my favorite rock and soul performers of the 1960’s. I met him once and briefly discussed his upbringing in the projects of Chicago, where he was an early friend and musical associate of Curtis Mayfield, Gene Chandler, Jerry Butler, and others.

    So many of these mayors and other public officials are soft and afraid of these extremists and terrorists.

    Parents of 8-year-old shot, killed outside Wendy’s speak out

    Secoriya Williamson, Secoriea’s father, also spoke out.
    “They say black lives matter,” Williamson said. “You killed your own this time. You killed a child. She didn’t do nothing to nobody.”
    Bottoms said the crowd outside the Wendy’s had re-erected barriers that the city had already taken down. The family was trying to get around the barrier when the confrontation happened.
    Bottoms announced that after weeks of trying to negotiate with protesters occupying the Wendy’s, the efforts are over and the area will be cleared.
    “A the point that an 8-year-old baby is killed, the discussions have ended,” Bottoms said.”
