Israeli official: Agreement with Hamas is almost ready

T. Belman. I am against this deal.  It is a reward for terrorism. Its one thing to construct a seaport in the Egyptian city of Ismailia and an airport in Sinai, its another thing to allow allow unrestricted import and export into and out of Gaza, and increase the amount of Israeli electricity given to Gaza.

What’s all that about? Will these facilities be made available to the PA Arabs as well?

Israeli official says five-year peace agreement giving Hamas airport, seaport, is ‘virtually’ ready.

A senior Israeli official involved in the details of the contacts for a five-year agreement for calm in Gaza has told the Los Angeles Times that the agreement with Hamas is “virtually done.”

The Egyptian-brokered deal between Israel and Hamas is expected to include improvement in the humanitarian conditions in Gaza, as well as the construction of a seaport in the Egyptian city of Ismailia and an airport in Sinai.

The first stage of the deal will include a cessation of the violent riots on the Gaza border, as well as the incendiary kites and balloons sent into Israel by Gaza terrorists. In exchange, Israel will reopen the Kerem Shalom crossing, and Egypt will open the Rafah crossing, which until now has nearly always remained closed.

In the second stage, Israel would allow unrestricted import and export into and out of Gaza, and increase the amount of Israeli electricity given to Gaza. The third stage would include an airport, seaport, and the construction of a power station in Sinai.

Hamas has clarified that any deal it signs with Israel requires the support of the Palestinian Authority and other factions.

  1. @ greenrobot:
Bennett is against a ceasefire and has indicated he will vote against it. He has a plan to destroy Hamas from the air which has not yet been approved but is in serious consideration if full quiet does not happen.

Lieberman reports state was the only one in the security cabinet who was for a massive ground attack in Gaza.

My info has Israel is willing to agree to the first stage described above and not the rest.

  2. Now it looks like Israel is heading towards supporting Hamas terrorism against Israel in exchange for yet another “peace” agreement that means nothing to Hamas and rewards them for their terrorism. What is Hamas going to do with more entry points and free movement of goods?. No prizes for guessing that they will no doubt import bigger and better rockets, guns, RPGs, drones, explosives, kites and suicide vests to kill Israelis. Really, Israel should be marching into Gaza and dragging the Hamas maniacs out from their terror tunnels and armament bunkers under the UNWRA schools and shipping them back to wherever these murderers came from. There is no value in short term solutions that give any form of concessions and advantage to terrorists that they will then use to kill you afterwards. How dumb can a government get?

  3. As far as I am concerned, although I expected this lengthy ceasefire, as I posted several times in discussions, I think that the Israeli hierarchy has gone soft in the head, that they are indeed losing their marbles. Once Hamas get all the goodies…what do you think will happen….?? They deserve the hammer, good and strong.

To this Israel, I would never recommend anyone to go to live. The govt. and upper officials as a sector of the people have become soft and relying too much on technological superiority, causing them inside themselves to relax, and take it easy.

No wonder Lieberman has become a chicken-hearted Defence Minister…right in line with the senior Generals, who all seem to be raging lefties.

It brings me back to the time when the soldiers were sent out to stop a flotilla full of terrorists and supporters with PAINT BALL GUNS………Maybe that was the beginning of the rot.

It’s all happening right under our noses, pampering these bloodthirsty terrorists who have murdered countledd elderly, women and babies. What sort of message will this send out to the rest of the linatic Arab World. I see that there are attempts to organise and combine all the Arab countries to attack and destroy Israel.

They’ve already seen our weak links. And we can do nothing about it. th REAL Israel is disappearing ..fast….!!
