Innovation of Rafael Advanced Defense Systems company is designed for threats too small to be dealt with by existing systems.
A new air defense system being developed by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, which uses lasers to shoot down low altitude threats, is able to bring down “mortars like flies,” Rafael’s CEO told the Israel Defense website on Wednesday.
Vice Admiral (Ret.) Yedidia Yaari, former chief of the Israel Navy, said the Iron Beam system will be “very effective” once it becomes operational.
Israel Defense cited Yaari as saying that that Iron Beam successfully passed a feasibility test, and is currently in development stages.
Iron Beam fires lasers at mortar shells, and has proven a high rate of accuracy, Yaari said, describing the system as “highly impressive.” It was first unveiled formally by state-owned Rafael during the Singapore Air Show last month.
The system is designed to deal with threats that fly on too small a trajectory to be engaged efficiently by Iron Dome anti-rocket batteries.
Iron Dome is complemented by Arrow II, an Israeli interceptor designed to shoot down ballistic missiles at atmospheric heights. Israel plans to integrate them with the more powerful rocket interceptors Arrow III – which will intercept ballistic missiles in space – and David’s Sling – designed for large rockets and cruise missiles – both of which are still under development.
The United States has extensively underwritten the projects, seeing them as a means of reassuring its Middle East ally as instability rocks the region.
An industry official, who asked not to be named, told Reuters in January that Iron Beam would form the “fifth layer” of integrated missile defense.

After the war in 1967 the whole world admired and liked Israel. People not only feared power but RESPECT power. Until Israel starts acting and claiming their rights this nonsense with the international community will continue. Your ideas are very appealing. You take no prisoners and I like that. As usual you are very clear about the situation. The OSLO Accords have been proven to be a failure. I totally agree with you. It is about time to throw the Oslo Accords in the dumpster where it belongs. Since the musloids did not keep their part of the agreement it should be void. Retrieving everything that Israel has given is only fair.
What do we do with all the arabas in these areas?
There are so many arab countries where they have more than enough land to receive them. In Saudi Arabia they have the fakestinians who go there to work. They are living in an area where they do not mix with the rest of the population. Why? They are afraid of the contamination that will result from mixing them with the rest of the population. It might not be fair but they reject them just the same.
Approving and defending the Levi Report is an idea long overdue. Someone like BR would be great. I wonder what is his opinion about all

What big powers like America Russia and some others can do and get away is not given to such small countries even regional powers like Israel. That said, Israel can be much more pro active than it has been till now. Since the Arabs are threatening the ICC, Israel should immediately approve the levi Report and defend it in every forum with the right people making our defense.
Israel must end the fiction and obligations connected to Oslo and retrieve back all that has been given in Oslo’s name, Land money weapons and support in INTL FORUMS.
Let the Palis declare statehood and get recognition of UN sanction. They have only what they have and what they have is mostly dependent on us. We withhold recognition and all support. Israel could claim it would only be emulating the U.S. and its allies in WWII. Recall that the U.S. firebombed civilian populations in Germany and Japan to break their morale. The U.S. was never put on trial and punished for mass murder of civilians. Germany and Japan never attempted or advocated the extermination of America but the Arabs advocate and actively attempt to exterminate Israel. The real problem remains Jewish cowardice where Jewish leaders always fear to speak the truth in defense of the Jewish cause.

What I would find highly impressive otoh wold be a simple announcement easily understood, (NOT MADE BY THE ONE WITH THE RED MARKER…) and an actual implementation of what it said:
The slightest offense against a Jewish Israeli would cause an immediate bombardment and total destruction of an ENTIRE TOWN.
start small, to show willingness to carry out the mission, and post a schedule (kind of like a bus schedule, so you know what is next and where)
DELEGATE the need to worry about the civilian musloids ( they are ALL in it for crying out loud, so let’s stop kidding ourselves….) TO the civilian musloids….
Let THEM have sleepless nights worrying if there might be “a misunderstander of Islam” amongst them….
Let THEM fight it out amongst themselves (here boys, brought you some knives, now go and play…)
