Peloni: Granting statehood to the very people who participated in October 7 and who still celebrate the savagery committed over a year ago are the price which Trump will trade for Saudi normalization? Nonsense. The only use of Saudi normalization is greater stability in the region, and carving a state for the Pals out of Israel will achieve the complete opposite of this, and this fact can not be wasted on anyone involved in pursuing such a deal. The Saudi’s have always proven themselves to be excellent negotiators, but they will negotiate on behalf of their interests, not on behalf of that of the Pals, who have only ever had a destabilizing effect on the region.
An Israeli expert recently stated in an interview that U.S. President-elect Donald Trump is likely to pressure Israel to address various demands outlined by the Saudi Kingdom as prerequisites for any normalization agreement between Israel and Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Shay Har-Zvi, a senior research fellow at the Institute for Policy and Strategy at Reichman University in Israel said: “Trump will likely push hard to advance normalization efforts from the outset and may pressure Netanyahu to be more flexible in meeting the demands of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman – particularly on ending the war in Gaza and signaling a political horizon for the Palestinians,” Har-Zvi told Israeli news site Maariv, with excerpts translated by The Jerusalem Post.
Har-Zvi added that Trump views achieving lasting peace in the region as one of his objectives, with Israel-Saudi normalization being integral to this vision.
“Failure to achieve normalization could hinder efforts to form a regional coalition against Iran and would forfeit economic opportunities for both the Middle East and the US,” he said.
The warming of relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia has diminished since the war began in the Gaza Strip, with the crown prince, MBS, even accusing Israel of committing genocide.
“The kingdom renews its call for a categorical rejection of the genocide committed by Israel against the brotherly Palestinian people,” the Saudi leader said.
According to MBS, Israel’s approach to the war has undermined “efforts to obtain the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people in establishing peace in the region.”
Saudi leaders have consistently maintained that normalization with Israel will only occur after an independent Palestinian state is established.
“We have no relationship with Israel,” Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan said last year.
Our priority is to resolve the humanitarian situation in Gaza. Our priority is the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state before normalization with Israel.”
I believe Peloni is right. Saudia will NOT accept the illegal YESHA Arabs in it’s territory, and their support for a “palestinian state” is just lip service.
and prefer to keep them beyond arm’s length.
Besides they are a different sect to the P’s. Just a red herring.
Human dna sez biggest fist wins.

Eddie…..aka…..tzvi
Maybe a “Palestinian State-nut NOT side by side with Israel i/n”peace”m and “friendship:…….NO WAY, maybe in the wastes of other Arab states.
Or the Hell that Trump promises.
The latter is of course preferable.
John Galt-
According to REAL facts there are about 3 mill Arabs in borth Y&S and Gaza And all or most want to emigrate’ They should be helped through the one0way door with a departing kick in the read end.
@John Galt IV
If only the rulers of these countries were decent human beings who placed saving the lives of innocent people above their geostrategic goals. If only.
Totally agree
Saudi Arabia is rich – take all 5,000,000 Muslim Arabs in Yesha (Judea, Samaria and Gaza) and move them to Saudi Arabia. If the Crown Prince cares about his Muslim “brothers and sisters” as Arab Muslim leaders have told us for 70 years then get it done. Qatar, Syria and Turkey can takes some too. No more talk. Just action.
Give them jobs and let them flourish.
Another “expert”
Whenever anyone trots out the dated and discredited idea of it being Israel’s responsibility to create a Palestinian state, you can bet that person is an agent of the deep state. Whether it’s the deep state in the US or Israel makes no difference, the goals are the same: a Palestinian state would be seen as a reward for genocide. In fact the exact opposite is what is needed: Hamas needs to be utterly defeated and parts of Gaza should go to Israel. Only that way will deter Palestinian violence.
I doubt that this idea is coming from Trump, but it is in the interest of the deep state to make it seem like it is; it’s a way of dividing Israel from Trump or getting Israelis angry or anxious even before Trump is sworn in.
This is mischief. See it for what it is.
Peloni has it right. Apart from the statements regarding the Saudi push, if they were really so concerned about the wellbeing of the so-called Palestinians, they would have welcomed them into the kingdom instead of refusing them entry.
