Since the Gaza ceasefire agreement on January 19, the IDF has detained 380 Palestinians in Judea and Samaria. Two days after the agreement, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “announced the start of a large-scale operation to defeat terrorism” in the city of Jenin. Days later, the operation was expanded into Tulkarm and Tubas. While the left-leaning mainstream media makes Israel look like the aggressor, Israel is protecting its citizens from the actual aggressors: Islamic jihadis.
This past Saturday, Israel released 369 Palestinian prisoners and detainees. So far, 19 Israeli and 5 Thai hostages have been released from Gaza, while over a thousand violent Palestinian jihadi prisoners have been set free from Israeli prisons. Most go back to Gaza, but many end up in Judea and Samaria.
Both Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad are committed to Israel’s destruction, and both groups are quite active in Judea and Samaria. Brigadier General Amir Avivi, founder and chairman of the Israel Defense And Security Forum, warns that many of these released “murderous terrorists” who make their way to Judea and Samaria establish militias.
Avivi has stated that “once this [hostage] deal is over, it will require significant military pressure on the terror infrastructure in both Judea and Samaria, as well as Gaza…I trust our soldiers to do whatever is needed to secure a decisive win.”
Only four months after Hamas’ savage October 7 attack, Judea and Samaria saw a 350% rise in terrorist attacks. And last summer, Judea and Samaria was reported to be “literally on fire.” Palestinian terrorists were intentionally and persistently lighting forest fires “in an attempt to literally smoke Israeli farmers, ranchers, and settlers out of the area.”
But as usual, the anti-Israel leftist media will bypass reporting about the extreme threat to Israeli citizens which prompts IDF to respond, and they’ll promote instead the false narrative of Palestinian victimhood, which serves to aid the jihad against the State of Israel.
Take for instance, these appallingly one-sided reports:
- Israel to confiscate a thousand hectares of Palestinian land in West Bank;
- “Israel’s weeks-long raid on the occupied West Bank has displaced thousands of Palestinians and caused widespread destruction to critical infrastructure.”
- ‘Last nail in the coffin’: Israeli settlers push on with fresh West Bank land grab;
- Fears grow that West Bank could become second Gaza;
- And even in the entertainment world, the anti-Israel poisonous influence is all-pervasive: “Even if We Win an Oscar, I Will Go Back to My Cruel Reality in the West Bank’”: Basel Adra, co-director of a documentary entitled “No Other Land,” which was nominated for an Academy Award, hopes to “raise awareness in Israel and abroad of the plight of his beleaguered West Bank community.” Never mind the terror that Israelis live under — from knife attacks to bombs, just for being Jewish — and funded by the Palestinian Authority in its pay-for-slay program.
- Then there’s Macklemore’s latest anti-Israel music video, which puts the plight of Palestinians living in Judea and Samaria side by side with the Holocaust.
The moral equivalence is obscene, and the propagandist media keeps adding more fuel to the flames of global antisemitism.
Israel is a tiny Jewish country; its people are the indigenous people of the region. Leftists are adept at groveling to special interest groups for past “colonialist” wrongs, no matter how much time and how many generations pass; the biggest colonizers in the Middle East were Islamic jihadists, who not only were unrepentant through history, but remain problematic, as jihadists continue to try to finish the job, obliterating Israel and ultimately conquering the West.

The release of thousands of “murderous terrorists” into Judea and Samaria is both complex and dangerous, according to Brig. Gen. (Res.) Amir Avivi, founder and chairman of the Israel Defense And Security Forum.
Avivi told ILTV that these terrorists will attempt to build militias.
“This is the huge problem we need to deal with, and once this [hostage] deal is over, it will require significant military pressure on the terror infrastructure in both Judea and Samaria, as well as Gaza,” Avivi said. However, he emphasized that both the government and the army remain resolute in their goal of achieving total victory….
I would also suggest that Israel consider implementing the Death Penalty for terrorists. Treat this as a war, not as a criminal enterprise.
Exactly Rafi… but the first rule of this “game” is to completely ignore the rantings of the left-wing media.
IDF needs to find these terrorists again and kill them, as part of cleansing terrorists and their bases in Judea/Samaria!
Organization that is being formed to allow Gazans to voluntarily emigrate needs to also operate in Judea/ Samaria and eastern Jerusalem.
