Do recall that it was this same Amos Hochstein who ‘negotiated’ the gas deal with the lame duck Lapid govt, which should be recognized to have been nothing more than an American proxy tool in guise of an Israeli govt. It has been the endeavor of the current administration to extend the hostile ‘settlement’ it forced on Israel in the mediteranean Sea onto land by stripping Israel of its internationally recognized right to the Golan. By doing so, this hostile American govt will once again succeed in promoting the interests of Iran at the expense of Israel. I would argue that this is the limit of the American diplomacy being promoted in Lebanon “to prevent war”, and nothing more.
@Shmuel: those are good ideas. However, we need to put Hochstein under a microscope and figure out his connections. At this point in time, none of them is an honest broker. We must get out from under hen USA’s wing and start dealing with the situation without them. Their veto in the UNSC is not dependable, nor are their deliveries of arms and munition. The question in my mind is if we can use some of the arms captured from Hamas, and maybe even fire some of those Hezbollah missiles back where they came from with the advantage of deniability (smile).
Sorry. The “deals” and “negotiating” with Islam in general and Jihadic in.particular are tantamount to continued self destruction for us. Further. ALL of those aligned with the Obama regime are enemies.
