Color revolution? Certainly smells like a Nuland duck to me. The thing about India is that they are not very concerned with how severe their actions appear on the news. They have a strong sense of enforcing discipline and readily respond to such active sources of violence. I recall the severe beatings that they employed against people who broke the early covid curfews, and after that, the lesson had been well learned.
Furthermore, Modi is well aware of his perdicament, which is not an enviable one, and he is no doubt well attuned to the reality that he has been marked for regime change and was waiting for just such a scenario. I am glad that he has handled the matter so capably.
Given the level of ire directed towards Modi over his role in opposing the West in their well failed proxy war with Russia, compounded with the great concentration of inept leadership in the Western nations (all of them), I would not be surprised to see that this is the last attempt to pursue regime change against such a capable leader as Modi.
Perhaps this is why posters are currently being hung around the various Indian states involve, and the ‘activists’ are being pursued even now, a week later. I have every expectation that the authorities will run them to ground and I wish them every success in the matter.
