I run the nonprofit from my apartment. So it would be both.

Are you being evicted from your residence or your office?
@ honeybee:
Agree! Learn to defend yourself and your people! See my longer comment. (I don’t know how to write a shorter comment, I guess).
@ robin@longhornproject.org:
I absolutely agree that there should be Caracal and that Israeli women should be tought to fight and defend themselves. I’m not sure how reliable they are in combat, but let me say, I’ve never served in the military and I admire and respect these young women for doing what I never did. Frankly, I came from the Vietnam generation, and I ended up with a 4F on my draft classification, so I could not be conscripted and could not enlist. Most people I knew did not want to be sent to Vietnam, which turned out to be a ghastly mistake. I simply wonder if there is something different about women (in general) that might make them less dependable in combat. I’m not saying all women, but most women I’m familiar with have not grown up fighting with their peers. Most boys regularly get into squabbles and fights as they grow up. I would hate to see a young woman get captured by the Gaza goons like Shalit was. What would be her fate? Despite the fact there are probably a good number of deviants and perverts among the young Arab beasts who engage in terror, how many would be interested in raping Shalit? I’m just wondering about effectiveness if faced with combat. With respect to the story about the young woman who hid behind the tractor, I know that men could be cowards. I don’t know how I would react the first time somebody started shooting in my direction. I hope that I would acquit myself well and do the right thing, with courage. I’m not condemning the young woman bout whom I read–I was not there and cannot make judgments. It wouldn’t surprise me if a lot of young men react with great fear when becoming targets of bullets.
I need help with this! How do we allow this? How does anyone allow this, don’t they know that it is wrong? http://youtu.be/hMF12Ru–yw

I need the funds for this project in the next two months. I am being evicted with no place to go. It will make it impossible to help Israel with this emergency.

Rape is and always has been a part of civilian life as well as war. Being born female is in itself dangerous. I ,as a female, would rather be trained to fight and protect myself and others for whom I care. I would wish to follow in the footsteps of my namesake.
All soldiers get “weary” during training it is what helps them stay alive and safe in combat. I am proud to have Caracal. It is time that we learn all of us must learn how to protect ourselves in this increasing anti Semitic and Anti Israel world. Remember it was just a short time ago when none of us knew how to fight and protect ourselves and our families.
@ mickeyobe:
Since when are soldiers not supposed to be weary? In the U.S., many female military have pushed for combat responsibilities. I think it is foolish, and dangerous, but if they think they can do it, let them. In this case, are the women volunteers for Caracal, or are they simply assigned? Do the women want to do combat? I think it is foolish–I read, many years ago, during the 1948 War, that an Israeli woman soldier was caputured by, I think, the Jordanians. As I recall what I read, the number of Arab soldiers gang raping her was unbelievable. I read about an incident a few years ago where an Israeli woman border soldier faced her first terrorist incursion near the Gaza Strip, and frightened, she hid behind a tractor. I believe another woman soldier came to the rescue and finished off the terrorist. How often does this happen with a male soldier? Perhaps just as much, I don’t know. Somebody familiar with the military could contribute to this. I’d much rather see a male kidnapped, like Gilad Shalit, rather than a woman. Knowing the kind of sex-starved beasts so common in the Arab world, I would be concerned about a Caracal woman soldier getting captured.
Sorry if my comments seem sexist, but I think these are legitimate concerns.
I wish this were not necessary.
They look so weary.
