Lapid says ‘no problem’ sitting with Likud, but not under Netanyahu leadership
The primary condition for all three. is that Netanyahu can not be the Prime Minister. They do not insist on Religious Zionists being banned. The latest polls give Netanyahu 60 seats.
If that is the way it goes down Bibi will use his 30 days to try to get either Lapid, Gantz or Liberman to accept him as PM. He won’t succeed, At the same time negotiations. will take place to get either Lapid, Gantz or Liberman to join the right with Bibi not as PM. If Likud cuts a deal with any of them, then they will seek a 14 day extension to complete the coalition.
The reason all three parties announced they will sit with a rightwing government that is not headed by Bibi is because they all know they can’t reach 61 seats even with the support of all three Arab parties.
Liberman and Gantz will have to decide if they would rather join the right wing or have the two Arab parties in the coalition.

Who is this mysterious 31 percent, why don’t they vote, what do they care about most, and how can they be reached? This is the elephant in the room. Why is no one furiously analyzing this? The musical chairs game of existing voters and parties is static as far as the balance of power between the blocs is concerned. It’s not news.
