@ bernard ross:
They are probably in France.
@ honeybee:
perhaps some are underground but I haven’t heard any peeps from gaza
@ bernard ross:
I noticed that, the Hamas leadership have left the countrymen to die alone.
Massive West Bank clashes reportedly leave 2 Palestinians dead

perhaps this is why abbas sent his family to jordan. fatah electioneering by protesting for gaza?
@ yamit82:
do you have any maps showing where IDF forces are? In a cease fire are they holding territory?
yamit82 Said:
I understand that some are held but others are released. I find it interesting that islamic jihad leaders, 4, have been targeted, but i am not reading of any hamas leader assassinations.yamit82 Said:
this is incredible.
something about this reminds me of the lebanon war. It was rumored that the west wanted Israel to go in with ground troops and finish off hezbullah as part of the whole proxy war with Iran and when Israel did not fully commit they then pushed the cease fire. BB proceeds as if he does not want to be doing this and as if there is no goal to take down or even bloody hamas leadership. In other times they targeted hamas leaders, this time should be even more. i still wonder if the outcome is a demilitarization under the PA Israel existing agreement with Hamas giving up its major weaponry and folding into the PA but needs a last hurrah to boost its electoral capabilities by showing it achieved the ending of the “blockade”. Of course the blockade will end if they give up their weapons but they want it to look like they won it in the war whereas abbas wants the credit. As for the seaports, etc. any agreement can talk about “futures” etc if everything else works out. Maybe that was considered in the original disengagement. I expect that Israel seeks no more than it had before hamas took over and after the disengagement. Perhaps BB knows the outcome and does not want to waste more lives whereas hamas gains by wasting lives and appearing to win concessions now as a result of its war rather than as a result of the PA taking over gaza. E.G. we know that if abbas takes over the borders then they will open but hamas wants it to look like they won this as a result of their victory. BB probably figures that the end result will be the same and wants as few lives lost as possible.
This whole thing appears much more to lead to a unity gov with abbas at the helm, borders reopening under the PA, and weaponry being brought into line with existing israel PA agreements, massive redevelopment of gaza. I think the idea is a demilitarized non aggressive entity like exists in the PA which would render future developments to negotiations. Under this model I see the west screwing Israel in the negotiations. Perhaps BB believes it is inevitable and figures he can get more for Israel in this way than any other way.

The on going discussion between men and women: oops also gave away my e-mail again

That how we fix prices at the bee/flea market, start high work to a more flealistic objective.
@ bernard ross:
Not all Hamas but all are sources for Intelligence gathering.
New Demand by Hamas for cease fire agreement, A sea port, an International airport and international guarantees by the USA. That’s an awfully high tree to climb down from???
Word here is BB really wants to stop this, declare victory and spin all the supposed positives but so far Hamas won’t let him.
This mini war is hurting the economy, especially the tourist Industry and small businesses in the South. He is trying to win a consensus for cutting and running…Hamas has out maneuvered him and have not been hurt much by the IDF so far,
