Huckabee Assures Israel of Ongoing Support in Its ‘Fight for Freedom’

Mike Huckabee, nominated by President-elect Donald Trump as the next U.S. ambassador to Israel, delivered a heartfelt message of solidarity with the Jewish state during the One Israel Fund’s 30th anniversary gala. Speaking to an audience of supporters, Huckabee assured Israel of America’s unwavering commitment.

“I want to say you will never be alone again in your fight for freedom and to preserve the country and the land and the heritage that God gave you,” Huckabee declared, emphasizing the deep bond between the United States and Israel.

Huckabee’s remarks reflect the incoming administration’s pledge to bolster ties with Israel after years of strained relations. During the event, Huckabee met with Yisrael Gantz, head of the Binyamin Regional Council and chairman of the Yesha Council, to discuss the opportunities ahead in the Trump era.

Gantz expressed optimism following the discussions, noting a renewed spirit among senior U.S. officials who have visited Israeli communities in Judea and Samaria. “They are true partners of the State of Israel and the settlement,” Gantz said. “They are capable of promoting a policy based on truth, in which the Land of Israel belongs to the people of Israel and the axis of evil must be completely eradicated wherever it is.”

Gantz has been actively meeting with senior U.S. officials to advocate for policies supportive of Israeli sovereignty in the West Bank. These meetings, Gantz said, signal a significant shift in the White House’s approach, with officials exuding a “spirit that has not been present in the White House for years.”

The discussions also highlighted shared values between the two nations, reinforcing the Trump administration’s intent to prioritize Israel’s security and historical claims to the land.
