Time will tell if Patereaus is another colon Powell screaming of WMD’s. I think he probably is just a mouthpiece for the powers that be. One thing to remember after the Nord stream sabotage, everything has changed and if there is not a response to the perp’s then something much bigger is going on than any of us can contemplate.

the entire talk is quite interesting, but Ukraine is discussed at 1hour and 16 minutes.

  2. RussiaRussiaRussia, on a Friday night, just before a tight US election. Why do I think I’ve seen this before?

  3. I lost all respect for Patraeus when he likened the Azov defenders in Marioupol to the heroes of the Alamo last spring, and then began supporting the false Washington/Ukraine narrative that all the defenders who surrendered there would be transferred back to Ukraine. Still, despite these false statements and predictions, he might be proven correct in his current assessment, but I am unconvinced that this will be the case.

Also, if you listen for similar misreportings in the video posted here, you will still hear silly statements by Petaeus claiming that this is a war of independence for Ukraine, that Russians don’t know what they are fighting for, Russians are hated by the people who see them as occupiers and that the Russians are facing an ongoing insurgency. I find all of these claims are nothing more than silly propaganda, and this supports my suspicion that he is simply supporting the Washington narrative, despite the fact he has been quite critical of the current administration regarding Afganistan.

Of course, time will tell if the massive foreign aid will do for the Ukrainians what they failed to achieve for America in Afganistan for 20yrs. I am also unconvinced that training of a few weeks or months was significant enough to defeat Russia, after all, Azov had been trained by NATO and since at least 2016 and despite their best efforts, though they outnumbered the Russian invaders, the best they could do was to hide in an underground bunker behind the wall of human shields, and when the human shields were finally allowed to leave, Azov capitulated.

Hence, I am still unconvinced of these warning predictions suggesting the imminent Russian collapse, but as I said, time will tell…just as it did following the Nazi surrender at Avostahl when the Nazi’s did not go home.
