T. Belman.. So Netanyahu must look elsewhere. Hewill have to cut a deal with Liberman and get the UTJ and Shas to go along with it.
Gantz is the most uncharismatic leader I have ever seen.

@ Ted Belman:
Ted except now Liberman insists Bibi go. He has his demands of “normalization” (Shabbt changes, haredi draft, etc) but as much or more he wants to get rid of Bibi. He hates Bibi he wants revenge for what he feels he has been screwed by Bibi in the past.
It is very personal.
I just read Liberman is denying he has a deal with Gantz. Do I belive him?
Supposedly Liberman has decided to recommend Gantz. Gantz has promised Liberman he will not make a coalition without Liberman in it.
So unless Labor gets bought by the Likud to form a narrow 61 seat coalition (barely workable) the only way to avoid third election is to have a unity government with Likud & Blue White plus Liberman. Gantz says he would do a rotating with Bibi but he must go first as PM. Given that Bibi might spend two years in lawyers’s officies and court rooms and charge this might be reasonable for the state of Israel.
I have to check that out. I am probably wrong.
But as I have said from the start it will be easier to cut a deal with Liberman. Whatever government is formed, some , if not all of Liberman’s demands will be exacted. So better for Shas and UTJ to cut a deal with him. Same for Bibi. He has to embrace Liberman. Remember Liberman was defense Minister to the last Likud government.
Israel will be better off for it. First, Liberman should rejoin the right camp where he belongs.
Second a new balance between the religious and the seculor must be achieved for there to be social peace in Israel. All good.
Ted, can Likud absorb parties like this and earn the right to form a new gov’t ahead of Gantz? Could’nt Gantz do the same thing and absorb smaller parties like Labour on the left.
If so, what gives you hope Liberman will fold. He made his agenda quite clear that he wanted a Unity Gov’t etc etc.
