Fourth Jew Arrested for Calling Mohammed a ‘Pig’

T. Belman. So much for freedom of speech. For this to be acceptable one must conclude that the Temple Mount and its environs are combustible like a movie theater. You know, you can’t yell “fire” in a crowded movie theater. But there is a difference. In a theater the dreaded response is activated by fear. At the mosques, the ensuing riots are politically motivated.

Muslim Clerics – Jews Are the Descendants of Apes, Pigs, And Other Animals

At a minimum, to restore balance, anyone making these claims in a public place should be arrested. But it shouldn’t end there. Balance must be restored to the Temple Mount. The Wakf should not be permitted to dictate that Jews can’t pray there. There jurisdiction should be limited to the mosques and the immediately surrounding land and the rest of the land should be under the jurisdiction of Israeli authorities.

Israel Police also arrest a 14 year-old boy for unspecified reasons on Sunday, in latest wave of arrests at Judaism’s holiest site.

The Israel Police arrested a young Jewish Israeli on Sunday, after he retaliated toward an Arab mob on the Temple Mount by stating that “Mohammed is a pig.”

And earlier Sunday, another young man was arrested for allegedly praying on the Mount – Judaism’s holiest site – and a 14 year-old boy was arrested for unspecified reasons.

According to prominent Temple Mount campaigner Yehuda Glick, the boy was arrested after guards belonging to the Islamic Waqf claimed the tzitzit garment he was wearing over his t-shirt constituted a provocation. Police have yet to comment on that claim.

This marks the fourth arrest over insults to the founder of Islam on or near the Mount. In July, three people were arrested in one week for similar remarks.

Controversy over the phrase began after 20-year-old Avia Morris was arrested for saying “Mohammed is pig” after she faced hostile Arab womenhurling threats at her on the Temple Mount – including death threats. She revealed to the press shortly thereafter that the police were unwilling to intervene to protect her until she had uttered the remarks.

In making the arrest, police said they would not allow provocations anddisturbances to public order by both Jews and Muslims at the site. However, in the case of Morris, she and other Jews were arrested while the Muslim women who provoked the standoff by surrounding the Jews and shouting “Itbach al-Yahud” (slaughter the Jews) were not arrested.

Morris has since noted that she has “no regrets” over the statement, as it prompted the police to act.

Later, however, police continued to ignore Morris, and refused to protect herafter she and her family were threatened long after the fact.

Despite being the holiest site in Judaism, Jews – and other non-Muslims – are forbidden to perform any acts of worship on the Temple Mount, including uttering prayers, due to Muslim threats of violence.

Visibly-religious Jews are scrutinized carefully by police and arrested if suspected of praying – and, increasingly, for odd “violations” such as drinking water.

The Temple Mount is the location of the two Holy Temples of Jerusalem, the latter of which was destroyed in 70 CE.

It is also the site of the Al Aqsa Mosque compound, which is built atop the ancient Jewish ruins.

In recent years Muslim groups have sought to deny the Jewish connection to the Temple Mount altogether, claiming it as an Islamic holy site and seeking to prevent growing numbers of Jews from visiting it via organized harassment campaigns and outbursts of violence.

  1. Generally, I no longer like getting into arguments with Christians about their “messiah.” They and we both face the horrible problem of Islamic Fundamentalism, and life for Christians in many Muslim countries is far from happy these days. What I find works is this simple formula, said to any evangealist who tries to convert me or to get me to pray in his church (or what so-called “Jews for Jesus” still call a synagogue): “Look, you pray for the coming of the “messaih” and I pray for the coming of the Messiah. When he comes, he will settle the argument between us. Meanwhile, let us work together to build a better world.” It has always worked for me.

I’ve had some good experiences with Arab taxi drivers recently. “I am an Israeli Arab, and I don’t want to be anything else. Palestinians name themselves after pagans who ate pig-meat and practiced child sacrafice.”

  2. @ mar55:

Hi mar55. Yes I have been vacationing with my family – back to the grind except for weekends – will still be heading out to the lake.

Well, mar55 I know that cooler heads prevail – that is not something that I have at times. Had no idea that calling this creep a bastard would cause me so much trouble.

I don’t regret it tho mar55. I regret that authorities did not handle it properly – my gender had a role in their decisions. The magistrate in the courtroom was not impressed with the Minister. She said ‘It may not be nice for her to call you a bastard but it is not illegal for her to do so. You have gone to a lot of trouble to bring her to court – your a Minister – yadda yadda yadda. He said nothing had happened yet but he now feared for his safety and the safety of his family. What a bunch of bunk!

Story is not over mar55 and it won’t be until I get the last word – and I promise I will!

Take care! Shana tova soon! Looking forward to it. We are having a dinner on the second day at our shul – a must go. The last time I was at shul was the end of June for a farewell dinner. It was wonderful – Jazz band on the terrace….Take care. Will prob be online more in the winter months.

  3. @ dove:
Dove, I was wondering where you were . I thought you were vacationing with your family. You have beautiful lakes in Canada. How are the kids and how are you after your ordeal?
Glad to see you back. Don’t get into an argument with the Christian fundamentalist. Just put something in front of them to see them fall in their noses. They are certainly irritating, obnoxious, self righteous “bastards”. You do not have to say it. Put them on the defensive by telling them “stop following me” then you call the policemen and put the complain. Let them suffer.
You should have asked them if they lost anyone who looks like you. Be well and enjoy what is left of the summer.

  4. No wonder Israel and Canada are such good friends. I was locked up for 3 and a half weeks for calling a Minister a bastard. Him and his wife were pissed off when I got out because I was able to make contact and put in a complaint and was released. Once released they drop the complaint because I was no longer being held. Very frightening.

This evangelical Baptist Youth Pastor and his wife were so upset I was released that they took me to court. I had to sign a peace bond.

Why did I call him a bastard? He kept stalking and following me and sending others to follow me. Finally one day when he started following me down the street I turned around and called him a bastard and told him to stop following me. I told him I had no interest in his stupid church.

  5. The statement that “Muhammad was a pig” are a subjective value judgments.
I believe it would be better to make an objective statment such as “Muhammad was a pedophile”, “Muhammad was a rapist”,
Muhammad was a slave owner”, “Muhammad was a mass murderer”, etc.
Such statements expose what Muhammadans themselves believe. A person stating such things is only speaking truth.

    Muhammad

  6. Visibly-religious Jews are scrutinized carefully by police and arrested if suspected of praying…

What a perverse, surrealistic disgrace. Jewish police functioning as Gestapo. Where are the sycophants of Netanyahu now? Stricken with moral laryngitis? Emerge from your caves and defend your postmodern Torquemada.

By the way, Mohammed is inferior to pigs. Swine are not Jew-hating pedophiles, which makes them better than Mohammed on that basis alone. I bet they smell better, too.

  7. How many Jewish lives were lost to re take our Holiest Site from the Islamics in 1967? “What difference does it make”? Clinton.
We, the Jews have been conditioned to “serve”. Now that serving is focused on serving a group of families, about 18, and a cadre known among themselves as the “elites”. We and ours are always going to be used and when use is complete, discarded by the above. As in Gush Katif, many locations in Y & S and soon, given half a chance, from the whole of Y & S and Jerusalem.
    DO we get it?
Israelitism must be given the pink slip.
