Former South Sudanese jihad captive Simon Deng flies to Israel to embrace families of hostages

“During the terrorist assault on my people in southern Sudan, in which millions of black Africans were slaughtered and enslaved by jihadists, only one nation—the Jewish State of Israel—helped us, with arms, tactical and military support,” Simon Deng said.

AMERICAN’S FOR PEACE AND TOLERANCE

On December 11, Charles Jacobs published an article in Tablet urging black Americans to re-evaluate their “intersectional” alliance with Arab and Muslim Americans given that Arabs and Muslims today — as they have for centuries — own Africans as slaves.

The normal American instinct to fight for the liberation of slaves is blocked and forbidden by woke ideology which insists that all Muslims and all Arabs are “victims,” thus their conduct — and even the conduct of their “cousins” in Africa and the Middle East — cannot be criticized.

Last week in Israel, Simon Deng lent flesh and blood evidence to the idea of a black-Arab divide: he flew to Israel to share his own experience of being taken captive by jihadists when he was a child in Sudan. He organized a solidarity march of South Sudanese from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Cloaked in Israeli flags, they were stopped by Israelis who got out of their cars, learned who these black people were, and emotionally embraced them. Deng brought 30 South Sudanese to help on a strawberry farm in the north.

Everywhere they went, the South Sudanese shared their story: they, too, had their own October 7 jihad attacks. Jihadists stormed their villages, burned the houses, killed the men, then stole, raped, and tortured the women and children. They, too, are victims of jihad.

Deng (along with Jacobs) met with Natan Sharansky, who thanked Simon and his South Sudanese compatriots for their solidarity.

  1. Thank you for this article, it was very moving.

In a way, Jewish involvement in the Civil Rights Movement in the USA, ultimately led to their involvement in the democrat party.

However, during and before the Civil Rights movement, the democrat party was the party of Jim Crow, as it had been since the end of the civil war. The northern democrat party became the party of Marxism, starting in the 1930’s and ’40s, while at the same time the southern democrat party was the party of Jim Crow.

After the Civil Rights Movement, the northern democrat party, the party of Marxism, (which had started with the progressive movement of Wilson and FDR), became the dominant force in the democrat party as the Civil Rights Movement made racial prejudice socially unacceptable if not illegal in American society and eventually in Congress.

LBJ’s stated motive for his “Great Society” programs was to “have Black people vote democrat forever.” The Great Society was a Marxist style redistributionist program which led to the breakdown of the Black family, as Black men were no longer needed for support of the family. While LBJ wanted the vote from Black people, he didn’t care that his program had perverse incentives and was going to hurt the very people he claimed he was helping. Many Jews supported these democrat programs.

Eventually with Obama, the democrat party became unashamedly Marxist, and along with Marxist ideology came the destruction of the American family by encouraging and normalizing homosexuality, transvestism, gender mutilation, abortion, pedophilia. Many Jews supported these ideologies too.

Now the Jews who supported all these programs are either in support of DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) or they realize that DEI supporters are anti-Israel and antisemitic. If they realize, as Dershowitz does, that DEI was how the democrat party became the party of Jew haters, they realize DEI has to be destroyed.

Support of Jews for African individuals who have been harmed by jihadists is important.

Support of Jews for Black people is important.

Support for DEI and anti-racism campaigns is destructive of American society. It is racism redux. I think any American Jew that supports DEI is either ignorant of its anti-Israel and antisemitic core, or they themselves are antisemitic and/or anti-Israel.
